#brownsville
I was born and raised in the southernmost tip of Texas, Brownsville to be exact, and have decided to document my experiences in hopes of igniting a different perspective of what really goes on in this town. Now let me just start by stating that at this moment I’m not completely happy living in Brownsville. I initially left Brownsville in my pursued of higher education and ended up back in here in light of homesickness, but that light soon became dim. I feel stuck here without much to do, leaving to the imagination how Brownsville should be as I acknowledging its potential. I hope that writing my thoughts down and self analyzing my life in Brownsville I will be able to provided a new perspective not only to myself but people that live here along with the rest of the world which seems soo far away at the moment.

On July 23rd of every year, the town of Brownsville, OR (used as the filming location of Castle Rock) hosts “Stand By Me Day!” The celebration features guided tours of shooting locations throughout the town, a blueberry pie eating contest, and a replica of the boys’ tree house.
