pleasure-puss:

i read a really interesting response to this very question once.

good food is one of the only luxuries millennials can feasibly afford. with student debt, job insecurity, and an increased cost of living millennials can no longer afford to indulge in the past generations luxuries. things like cars, houses, even travel! a good meal is honestly one of the only things we can treat ourselfs to, so shut the fuck up and let us enjoy our fucking food

-Bernie Sanders will win the election

-The Imperial-Corporatist government of the United States will continue its unchecked reign of terror and tumult throughout the Middle East

-Unarmed black people will continue to be slaughtered by state terrorists without any legal recourse

-American women will continue to be arrested for simply attempting to exercise the same rights as American men

-The rich will continue to amass their billions in blood money, and the poor will continue to adjust their sense of “normality” to new lows and blame themselves for their disparity

-People will experience a galvanizing moment of tragedy–one that could unite all peoples against their worldwide oppressors–but cowardice and wage slave mentality will cause them to abandon the call for direct action and call for “hopes and prayers” instead

-Things will continue to get worse

-People will continue to look forward to 2017 (a NEW year), when things will somehow magically get better on their own

The state is, fundamentally, an organisation of force.

It exists because there are unequal social classes. It is used by the capitalist class to suppress workers, through protecting the means of production as the private property of capitalists.

The means of production are factories, plants, facilities, machines, and so on.

The state is used by working people to take ownership of the economy, so that the economy belongs to the people who operate it.

It does not mean persecuting workers who are self-employed.

Social ownership of production means that everyone in society has equal relations to property. This eliminates economic inequality and abolishes social class.

Without social class, there is no group to oppress, and so the state, without a function, does not function at all. The conditions that gave birth to the state would have been ended.

A stateless and classless society is referred to as ‘socialism’ or ‘communism’.
