1. My water has a pH of 8. Even if I use a low pH cleanser, the abundance of water that I use to rinse it off cancels out any of the supposed benefits of low pH cleansers. 2. I use a pH balanced toner. My skin becomes pH balanced after cleansing anyway. The pH of the cleanser really doesn’t matter. 3. Low pH cleansers are harder to find and/or are more expensive. It’s not worth the effort and probably a hundred dollars I might spend to find an adequate product. 4. I haven’t read all the parts of studies on the pH of cleansers, but I’m pretty sure that the tests limited skincare in general. Having more than just a cleanser and moisturizer as a skincare routine has improved my skin immensely.
If you’re wondering if a low pH cleanser is suitable for you, it depends on your current routine. If you’re positive that you’re satisfied with the other products in your routine, then trying it might not be bad.
Using alcohol free toner changed my skin for the better, much more than however much I think a low pH cleanser might. Since I really enjoy the mist my face bathes in and the calming, moisturizing effect it has, and since I don’t use chemical exfoliators anymore, I’ve been very happy with my skin.

Hello October! Ladies, even if today we officially feel the autumn vibes our beauty routine lately has been 100% made of summer vibes. So for the first day of October, we will write about our new must have products to keep in your bathroom.

In case you don’t already know Belle Azul, you can read all about it and discover the first products we tried here. This brand coming from Barcelona had our hearts this summer and in order to not go desperate with the summer ending we kept them in our beauty routine lately. Here are our 3 new favorite products from them:
1. The + lashes serum
Who doesn’t dream of having those long real lashes? Of course I do, and that’s the reason why I am always trying many different serums, bases, mascaras, and everything in order to nourish, protect and grow my lashes. I don’t know if I already told you this story but more than a year ago I tried Revitalash, which was great and really helped my lashes to grow faster than ever! After only 4 weeks my lashes were touching my eyebrows. But what they don’t tell you is that if something grows faster, then it “dies” faster. So this is how, by the end of the summer, my lashes all fell one after the other… Since that event, I promised myself to never try anything again that wasn’t made of natural products!
+ Lashes is a serum made of natural extracts in order to regenerate and protect your lashes. We’ve been using it for more than two weeks now, and even if they tell you you get better results in 4-8 weeks, we really catch a difference. We use it twice a day (morning, evening) and can see our eyelashes are getting stronger and thicker. Also, we noticed when demakeup time we are not losing them anymore. We will definitely keep on this one.
2. The + lips gloss
Since Kylie Jenner launched her lipsticks line, it is all about the lips! Because I can’t afford a lip injection, and also because I am afraid of it not looking natural, I am always looking for that one product that will give the same effect for a couple hours. You may have seen it, I am often using the Fullips Enhancers that I found in NY back in April. But in order to get the full effect you have to use a good lip plumper! You guys all know the Dior Lip Maximizer that was definitely my favorite for such a long time? It is not anymore since I tried the Belle Azul one.
+ Lips is made of argan oil (like pretty much every one of their products, which is why we love them so much) but does have that mint smell we loooove! As it is a glossy serum, you can’t put lipstick above; so the serum is really here to use like a moisturizer in order to have natural plumped lips. This is the effect that I like, to have those natural lips because my lips are naturally tinted so there’s no need for me to add lipstick above. Use it 3 times a day, or should we say as much as you want to in order to keep your lips plumped.
3. The dual foot cleanser
I know, during autumn and winter times (let’s say cold season) you just don’t pay attention to your feet anymore but you should. It is not because you hide them in cute socks that you don’t have to take care of them.
Dual Foot Cleanser is the best 2 in 1 product we have used so far. With its pumice stone and peppermint and argan oil mix it purifies, softens, hydrates and smoothens your feet. Very easy to use also, just squeeze the tube to release a small amount of the cleansing gel then work it into a lather and rub the stone against ares with rough skin. I absolutely loved the smell and how smooth my feet were after it. I recommend you to use it twice a week for really good effects.

As a natural black woman with an afro, I would notrecommendthe haircare products. My hair turned out very dry even though they were moisturizing products.
The vegan skincare left my skin feeling refreshed and soft.
Review: Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original

I haven’t had the time to focus on this blog lately because of life (but I want to thank people for still following me despite the inactivity ). I did have time to test out this product for over a month and I’m here to urge you all to try it.
This cleansing balm is worthy of the hype. I believe this was one of the first Korean skincare products to gain international recognition. The original version comes in a light pink container and includes a tiny plastic spatula to scoop the balm without contaminating it. When you touch it (or when it comes into contact with a warm surface), it turns gooey and melts into cleansing oil. The product has a great smell that reminds me faintly of berries.
It does its job of taking off makeup very well and doesn’t get all over the place like a typical oil cleanser. The cleanser removes everything on your face, from excess sebum and dust to heavy-duty makeup. Once you’ve rubbed it all over your face, rinse with water and you’re left with clean, hydrated skin. I have acne-prone and oily skin during the summer and this doesn’t cause me to break out.
I frequently scoop out more than I need, which explains why I’ve worked through about half of it within a month. The container is surprisingly deep though and you’ll get your money’s worth from this product. I got the Cleansing Balm Original at my local store and it was definitely cheaper than getting it online. It also comes in different formulas to suit other skin types. This is one of my best skincare purchases of 2020. ♀️

•Cleanser: Shisedo Clarifying Cleansing Foam. Gently cleanses and moisturizes skin all while fighting acne and shrinking the appearance of pores.
•Face Mist: DIY with tea tree oil, lavender oil, eucalyptus oil, orange oil, lemon oil, and a few other ingredients listed above.
•Wrinkle Treatment: Olay Retinol. Also know to fight acne, soften skin, and improve texture.
•Moisturizer:Peter Thomas Roth moisturizer with salycilic acid to fight acne.
•Mask: Dutch Dirt Mask. An exfoliating mask that fights acne and wrinkles, improves texture and uneven pigmentation, and softens skin. Has many other benefits that are too long to list .
Do we love seeing our favorite eyeshadowsandmoisturizers laid out in glamour shots on Instagram? Definitely. But do we love seeing our top cleansers and serums in viral TikTok videos a little bit more? Just maybe.
