The Winner Takes It All

wanted to make a short animatic dedicated to the finale!!

A concept design for a clone trooper oc!! His name is Duck, and he is a chaotic silly man! He got his name for being a “sitting duck” in battle.

100th Post Special!

I made this base for anyone and everyone who wanted a clone base to bring their designs to digital life!

Tell me about your clone ocs! I want to hear them! I am constantly so amazed by the sheer creativity and limitless ideas people have for their lads!

Part 4 of my Clone Trooper OCs

PATCH

  • Team medic (!)
  • Known for his nonchalant response to ‘minor’ injuries:
  • “Put a patch on it.”
  • This has lead to a running joke within the battalion whenever there’s a serious/dire situation where the clones just kinda look at each other and say something to the extent of… “Well… have we tried putting a patch on it?”
  • Ironically, this worked once
  • Also known to simply throw bacta patches at clones who got injured through their stupidity
  • Won’t deal with anyone’s BS
  • He acts all tough, but really cares about his brothers
  • He has a habit to stick out his tongue a bit when he’s concentrating
  • He’s very focused, and will often miss finer jokes or jabs his brother’s throw at him

The symbol of the 267th Battalion

General Adira of the Grand Army of the Republic decided she wanted a mark she could wear to represent her loyalty to both the Jedi Order and the men she’s fighting alongside in battle. This is what she came up with: a crude drawing that blended the two insignia of the Army and the Order. She painted it onto her armor in the battalion’s color without telling anyone and went about her duties. The clones were quick to notice. In less than one rotation, almost all of the clones had painted the same symbol on their armor, with some making modifications according to their ranks and experiences. This mark came to unite the battalion, and represented the loyalty, bravery and equality found within.

Part 3 of my Clone Trooper OCs

GARREN

  • Clone Commander Garren of the 267th Battalion in the Grand Army of the Republic
  • Known for his fierce loyalty and unwavering commitment to his men
  • He saved the life of his Jedi General Adira Kiaan, an act of which earned him a scar along the side of his face down to his chest
  • After this accident, he became uncharacteristically stand-offish and quiet, ashamed for leading an attack that almost led to the death of his general along with his men
  • After time and healing (with help from both General Kiaan and the team medic, Patch,) he came to embrace his failures and learned from it, even going as far as painting the image of his scar on his armor as a reminder that he can overcome any challenges ahead of him
  • He’s young for a commander, but his exceptional skill in both training and in combat allowed him to ascend the ranks very quickly
  • Although he exudes Tired Dad Energy at all his brothers, he loves and supports their high jinks and will often secretly support their little pranks and games
  • Out of everything that has happened to him, he considers himself to be the luckiest man in the galaxy
  • Lucky for his life, lucky for his brothers
  • But most of all, lucky for being assigned to his general…. in fact, he wouldn’t have had it any other way, war and all

Meet my Mandalorian OC: Ansul!

(For folks that might recall, he makes a cameo in my “He’s the Mand’alor” comic bit I did a while back! Now finally with a name and face.)

Ansul is the leader of a small Mandalorian sect hidden on Abregado-rae. A man who believes in the traditional “Way” of Mandalore, he does his best to lead with honor and integrity. While he is typically patient and good humored, he can be stubborn and frank to the point of bluntness at times.

(More detailed bio under the cut)

Ansel was born on Mandalore toward the end of the Mandalorian Civil War. Ansel’s parents, being traditionalist Mandalorians, were banished to Concordia along with the other Mandalorians that refused to give up their traditions and ways.

Ansel’s parents did their best to make the most out of their life on Concordia the first few years, however the inner conflict among the clans and Clan Viszla’s heavy hand ultimately drove his family and some other Mandalorians off Concordia and settle on the planet Roetha.

Ansel’s father became the leader of the new Mandalorian sect and for a time they lived guarded lives, taking bounty hunting jobs and doing their best to survive. Ansel’s parents were very loving and trained Ansel in the Mandalorian Way.

That all changed one day when a village begged the mandalorians to defend them from the governor’s thugs that had been pillaging their town. Although there was disagreement among the clan members, the mandalorians got involved and became essentially heroes to the village and others. The corrupted ruler, finding the Mandalorians a problem, hired a bounty Hunter/assassin that specializes in killing Mandalorians and was given the instruction to kill the entire group, not even leaving the children alive.

Miraculously, Ansel (now 14) had survived the attack and was seemingly the last survivor. With no other place to go, he went to the village the mandalorians first helped who took him in. They did their best to care for him for a time, but feared for his life. The village worked together to get Ansel off world to Abregado-rae where it was rumored there were other Mandalorians.

The Mandalorians on this planet took him in and he lived with them from them on. The leader personally trained him and basically adopted him. At first Ansel craved revenge, but the leader taught him to let go of his hate and to put his energy into the desire to protect the clan.

Ansel would have that chance to protect the clan when the same bounty Hunter/Assassin that killed his family’s clan was hired to hunt down and kill the clan. In a fight that earned Ansel his facial scars, Ansel managed to defeat and slay the assassin.

During the fight, the leader had been killed, leaving Ansel to be his successor. For years since, Ansel has been leading the sect and helping them to survive as the Galaxy became more and more dangerous under Sidious’ rule. He hopes that one day he could return to Mandalore and help to restore it to the glory of the ancient days under a worthy Mand’alor.

“This is Anakin Skywalker…He has not just power, not just skill, but dash: that rare, invaluable combination of boldness and grace.” ~ Revenge of the Sith novelization

It’s been too long- I have to draw Anakin before I forget how to!

“To hold on to something— or someone—beyond its time is to set your selfish desires against the Force. That is a path of misery, Anakin; the Jedi do not walk it.“ ~ Obi Wan

Biting the bullet and practicing drawing Obi Wan. Especially his hair at angles.
