Whoops, forgot to post Summer! (This is a good time to remind people that I post a lot more regularly on Instagram- go follow me! I’m snowwhitekt there, and you get to see a lot more of my art than you do here! I just forget about my Tumblr sometimes…)

Anyway- my girl Talea’s next aspect, Summer! She goes summery when she’s determined or angry- when she wants to kick ass and take names!

The last season for my Eladrin D&D character, is Spring! I love how this one came out- I’m so pleased with it! I found this gorgeous picture on Pinterest of a girl with big, beautiful, natural hair and she has all these flowers in it- she was really the main inspiration for all my Talea drawings, but I found some other gorgeous hair ideas on there that I used for her other aspects. Can’t wait to color these in!!

Aspect two of my Eladrin Sorceress, is Winter! She’s winter when she’s sad or thoughtful or pensive. I had so much fun playing with her outfits for these, but I think I had the most fun with her different hairstyles!

First in a series I did a couple weeks ago- I made a D&D character for a one-shot game we played and loved her concept so much that I just had to draw her! Her name is Talea and she’s an Eladrin, which are elves from the fae that can shift between different seasonal versions of themselves. This is her regular form, in her Autumn aspect. She’s a sorceress, hence the staff, and her season shifts with her mood. I drew all four seasons, and I’ll post them over the next few days. Colored versions coming soon!

Day 11 of #mermay is nervous about being a day late, sorry! I finished this one pretty late, and went to bed without posting it (oops). One of my friends suggested that I do a bunch of different merms with different emotions, so this is one for @lexbex05. : ) Hopefully I’ll get today’s up in a little bit (but it may be tomorrow, let’s be real).

Day 10 of #mermay is a jellyfish! I’ve done one jellyfish mermaid each year I’ve done this challenge, I had to do one this year too! Why are jellyfish so fun to draw?

Day 8 of #mermay has a flower in her hair! Again, a quick sketch tonight, cause I got pretty busy. I’ll put more thought into tomorrow’s, I promise!

Day 7 of #mermay has a flashy fin! A sort of simpler drawing today, just played around with the tail pattern. I’m very pleased with her hands, though- I feel like I’m getting better at hands!

Day 6 of #mermay is a whale mermaid! (And, you know, two onlooking mermaids for scale.) She’s Native Alaskan, because of how much whales appear in the artwork and stories of so many of the native tribes of that region. I’m really pleased with how she came out!

Day 5 of #mermay sees her reflection! I haven’t drawn too many characters from this angle before, so this was sort of an experiment, but I’m happy with how it came out! Also, credit where credit is due: the bubble and reflection were my husband’s ideas. : )

Day 4 of #mermay is a day late, sorry! Had a lot to do yesterday, but I made up for it with a lot of drawing this evening! I’ve got this bored young lady for you now, and I’ll have today’s up in just a little bit!

Day 3 of #mermay has a super long tail! I’ve seen so many with long, curly tails, but they’re almost always super skinny, so I wanted to make a chubby long tailed girl! I think she’s cute. ^_^

Day 2 of #mermay is this scaled beauty! Guys, I’m already so excited about my mermaids this month- I’ve got a bunch of sketches ready, and I’m feeling the creative juices!

Fixed up a sketch I did a while back, but didn’t like enough to post! One last fancy lady before MerMay starts! I cannot wait!

An Ariel pic for her anniversary yesterday! Finished it really late last night, and couldn’t keep myself awake long enough to post her up. Not super happy with her hands, but that’s nothing new.

Happy 28th anniversary, Ariel! So happy you’re part of our world!
