Its come to my final ‘FMP’ of the last year at college, my final major project.
we have control over this whole project as long as we stick to the two different units that are very simple to give us background and some guide.
For this project we have full control on what we do base our work on and if we create any garments. i am in love with the 50s era so i thought i would take advantage and i thought it would bring the best out my work if i link it to something i love.
i have started my sketch book work and a few final designs, i have a little idea of what i want to do, i am creating a big pretty diner girl dress that is built up with layers of petticoat. i am also making an outfit that a pin up girl would wear, so a nice high waisted pencil skirt with a pretty crop top.
images and descriptions will be uploaded along the way like a critical path.

Today was well spent learning how to paint for the first time, and honestly I don’t think it could have gone better! I painted a winter sky and forest with a pretty christmas tree and snow, I am so pleased with the outcome. A little festive painting that is now going to be sold in the shop I work for! Happy days

This is my first jacket being faced, this was such a difficult job especially doing the collar around the neck. Going over and over making sure that there is no holes where I am sewing and everything fits And is the same length.

These are a few of my jewellery pieces I make during my time at my work! My shop is a gathering of many different and creative pieces of work, and all handmade whether it be what we create in our back room or from local people! My boss designs and creates many things from jewellery to fusing glass to stain glass and more! Im more then lucky to have her as a teacher aswell, she started me off with the basics and now she’s getting me clients! I love my work and what I do and it ties greatly into my course and fashion route! Also gives in great experience in the different areas! And lots to put on a personal statement or CV!
I advice you do and try everything even if you think you’ll be crap, at least you gave it a go and tick it off your list!

This is the construction of my final garment! The floral print is the lining thats going inside the navy jacket, the plan is working out so far and im liking the result.

This halloween turned out not so bad this year considering I hadn’t made plans!
Went to a show called sultan show were they create a fair for all sorts of events that go on around the year! Music, crazy rides, bomb fire and to top the night off fireworks! Went with one of my oldest friends and we had a great time, definitely different to a party or that kind of scene but was a really good turn out! Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

keeping in the Halloween spirit I decided to carve myself one! And i must say so myself I’m pretty pleased with the outcome. i carved a pretty little Tinker bell and it couldn’t be more magical, i just drew free hand a ruff sketch of a picture i had seen over the internet and just went from there. And i know it doesn’t have much of the scary factor but its more magical, and i like it like that. I personally dont celebrate Halloween that much but do love getting into the practical hands on creative side of it all! So have a happy Halloween!

This is my toil (practice run) of my final design of making a blazer! This is too see if my patter worked, we use some scrap fabric to put together out toils! My idea for my final design is a fitted navu blue blazer, lined inside with deep floral print!

Testudo sacrifices as of May 7. I’ll try to get another photo as I’m sure they’re piling up, but I had to share the dedication someone put into dragging a toilet all the way to the library.

I just have to say that. it would be amazing to me if every translation I read was extensively footnoted by the translator. I know this is not how everyone wants to experience a translation but I would like it and isn’t that what’s important
never got to finish this. but people smoked here before smoking was banned lol.
