The time has come for my little Christmas tree to go in the attic till next Christmas . A potted plant has replaced it for now . There is so many signs of spring in the garden right now, and I love it, but feel a little sad the winter has come to an end so quickly. And as for the WIPs, the main knitting project is of course still the colourwork Narvik sweater, and I can’t seem to stop crocheting right now, so I am crocheting some granny square blocks from some random wooly stash yarn. I don’t yet know what sort of blanket they are going to make, I will figure out once I have more blocks I can play with. .

My sweater knitting efforts have been interrupted by my childish water colour doodling efforts, then cleaning efforts and sorting through stuff efforts. But now I am back to knitting!

The yoke is nearly finished, just a couple of plain stripes left and I will get to knit good plain body of the sweater. As much as I love the look of colour work I am really glad to be done with two-handed knitting

Yesterday I have finished and blocked sock yarn crochet blanket which means another 650g of stash yarn have been used up, yay! And now I have cast on for a colour work sweater for my dad from the tweed yarn I have had in my stash for a couple of years now (it was given to me on the cone). I have already used 650g of it to make kids’ hoods I mentioned earlier, and I still have plenty left for a man’s size sweater. The pattern is Narvik by @dropsdesign and it is free! .
