We decided to have our coffee outside in the garden. Best idea ever. I mean it was a bit cold and there were bees buzzing around but the idea of being someone who drinks their coffee outside in a flowery garden sounds like a good one.

I went for a short walk today. The weather got warmer, even if it’s still cloudy.
I started reading “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” and it’s very catchy.

Mine was awesome! No school today for Arianna (nor tomorrow for EU and local elections) so we just hanged on the beach all day…
Ah wait, the second part Of the sentence was actually true one year ago…
This year we’re having the coldest May in 50 years and we’re still hanging around in jackets and foulards… Just like the second pic which wasn’t taken today either but on Easter Day… and it was warmer that day than now that we’re one month ahead.

So after this public complaint about things that no one can change, I already feel better and ready to face the next 3 days of heavy rain with a smile. .

The other day I bought Making Winter book for Kindle by @silverpebble2 . it is a gorgeous book. A wooden hand made crochet hook in one of the photos attracted my attention. I so wanted one. I have access to a ton of wooden twigs, plus any possible tools I may need (although turned out I only needed a Stanley knife and a dremmel tool I had at home). So I thought I might as well have a go at making one. I made six. And they work! I am so pleased with my little twiggy hooks .

Yesterday I have finished and blocked sock yarn crochet blanket which means another 650g of stash yarn have been used up, yay! And now I have cast on for a colour work sweater for my dad from the tweed yarn I have had in my stash for a couple of years now (it was given to me on the cone). I have already used 650g of it to make kids’ hoods I mentioned earlier, and I still have plenty left for a man’s size sweater. The pattern is Narvik by @dropsdesign and it is free! .
