yes the time change fucks with us, but maybe it reminds us of our place

[ID: The galaxy brain meme in three panels. The first text box says, “Universal standard time so don’t have to go to work in the dark.” The second text says, “Universal DST so people don’t have to leave work in the dark.” The final text reads, “Shorten the working day so everyone can have daylight before and after work.” End ID.]

Don’t worry; I didn’t stay up this late only to post this meme, but now that I’m already here…

Permanent daylight savings time is probably one of the dumbest solutions the US Government would of passed a bill on, because it tilts the timing off of everything, no longer would the sun be at its Zenith during noon, or would we be following its natural cycle long before daylight savings came about and to ask for it to be permanently put in place means it throws the timing of the sun off by an hour which can cause other issues in the long term as well that I am not fully aware of but understand exists.

What it should be instead is permanent standard time, which is the timeline the sun normally would follow, where the sun would be at its zenith at noon, and where the sun would not be thrown off by an hour.

I think changing the time is stupid.

Did you spring ahead?

Daylight Saving Time started at 2:00 a.m. this morning. In 1941, Minnesota did not observe the spring time change, but that didn’t mean that Martha Clark got out of adjusting the time on her clocks.

Clark was the clerk of travel service at the Curtis Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. Since 13 states did turn their clocks ahead on April 27, 1941, Clark had to make sure that the clocks in her office aligned with train and airplane schedules from those states implementing Daylight Saving Time. As the Minneapolis Morning Tribune noted, the time change would also affect Minnesotans through the timing of “market quotations, radio programs, and travel schedules.”
