It’s been ages since I’ve posted on Tumblr! But I figured it was time for some more fanart, and this time it’s for Guild Wars 2. Braham Eirsson is a rather polarizing character within the fandom community…some people love him and some people really seem to hate him. I’m one of the former, obviously, haha. I think he’s a great character, particularly because he has his own goals and personal growth and doesn’t follow along blindly, and the Icebrood Saga kept me on the edge of my seat and biting my nails as to Braham’s fate. I’m also not ashamed to admit that I might just ship my main character, a Norn Ranger by the name of Frida, with him. Yes, I’m pathetic…I have to have me my ships with each game I play! KA-BRAHAM!

Guild Wars 2 player character fanart of my main character, Frida Dragonsword, or Frida the Dragonsword.
Born as Frideburg Thyrisdottir, she began growing her legend at the age of eighteen upon slaying the giant ice wurm, Issormir. Frida Wurmslayer she was called, who’s overall ferocity in battle was only outweighed by her kindness and almost noble bearing. She surprised many by joining the Durmand Priory, for surely her combat abilities would be put to better use on the open field with the Vigil, but Frida saw an opportunity to grow her legend even further through study…battle tactics and history and how to thwart a foe with knowledge. Some said she was overly cautious, others knew better. In the end, Frida Wurmslayer would become Frida the Dragonsword…slayer of the Elder Dragons Zhaitan, Mordremoth, and Kralkatorrik…Champion of the Elder Dragon Aurene. Both the sword and the sword arm. And through it all, fighting by her side was Kjartan. A gift from Wolf and raised from a small pup, he would never leave her side as long as he drew breath.

It is only a painting about my OC named Paint Rose. I was inspired by :iconrottengotika: adding my character with freckles, it was satisfying. It was also suppose to be only blank white background but eh, I kinda wanted to add more depth to make the drawing complete ( at least in my own point of view ). Hope you like it! I had fun painting this.

This piece is meant to show how my V, in their role at Arasaka, is constantly being watched; as well as how they believed they had freedom, but they were just a puppet all along.
Quote from this Vs upcoming fic:
“When Arasaka scraped me off the floor of that laboratory, I thought what they were offering me was freedom. Now I know it was never truly freedom at all. It was just another kind of cage.”
Here’s the process of this piece:
As you can see, the design did change a bit throughout the process. I wanted to have a more elegant feel, as well as more of a Japanese inspiration, given Arasaka and their origins.
Really pleased with how this turned out. It’s not as detailed as some of my other stuff, but I’m still really happy with it.

Yeah, I had alot of fun with this piece. And to think it was born from a wedding dress I saw when going through random fashion tags.
I decided to make my Vs scars gold this time, as if they were cybernetics, to echo the Japanese art of Kintsugi; which is the practice of repairing broken pottery with golden lacquer.
