I know I’ve been a big supported of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme playing in S2, but that was before I remembered Total Eclipse of the Heartexisted.
Listen… We’re on deck, Stede and Ed have already met at least once at this point and now they’ve met again because Ed was finally convinced to listen to Stede for at least a moment without killing him. They bicker because Ed is angry. Rain is starting to fall.
Suddenly they’re attacked by another ship. The song starts playing as Ed and Stede shout their feelings in between fights. As they bump into each other the chorus starts, Stede confesses his love, Ed admits to himself he still loves him, and as the rains pours on them they have their first kiss since the beach.
I mean look at the chorus and tell me it’s not a perfect song for them to get back together…
