#existential anxiety

LIVE

Nothing gives me more existential anxiety than having to have an opinion about everything, having to pick sides in politics, having to support one side or another. Why does any of it matter? Why must I be red or blue, be pro-religion or against it? Why must I have an opinion about everything. None of these things matter, you can argue for and against anything. Political correctness limits our freedom (of speech) yet it is also what makes us develop and think about our actions/words. Religion causes wars and tears humans apart, yet it can heal people, make them feel like they matter and make people come together in times of need. There’s pros and cons to everything, everything can be discussed and set into categories of what is “morally right” and the most “reasonable” in relation to the topic and the situation. The thing is, if everyone were like that, refusing to have an opinion, we would go nowhere, we would be stuck and never develop, but on the other hand, it’s also tiring to have an opinion, because someone will debate against you and present points that go against your ideas and believes. It’s all so stupid, and really hard to deal with. There’s really nothing that gives me more existential anxiety than this.
