I picked up this edutainment comic about cannabis called How Do You Smoke A Weed? a little while back, and I keep rereading it lately - partly because it’s full of interesting info, but also because of these two characters!!

I’ve been wanting to draw Raihan in an outfit inspired by this 1890s Ottoman Empire vest and cape for AGES… so I finally did it :B

that said, please have this old art! I have a goofy shippy idea in my head where Leon comes across a mysterious Pokemon Egg and tries to figure out what kind of Pokemon it is and where it came from… Raihan helps identify it as a Dragon-type egg, but beyond that it’s a mystery~
(spoiler alert: it’s an Applin egg that was secretly gifted by the other Galar Gym leaders because they’ve all been waiting for Leon and Raihan to get together for YEARSSSSSS)

guess who I love? it’s RAIHAN! and he has no backstory so it’s my city now… >:3

I saw someone on Twitter suggest that, in contrast to Leon’s childhood in the countryside, Raihan had a pretty posh upbringing! Since Hammerlocke has such a strong emphasis on history I had the idea that Raihan’s family consists of a long, long line of Dragon trainers that can be traced back hundreds of years… Raihan’s father, Amir, was the Hammerlocke Gym Leader before Raihan himself took over.
Amir is EXTREMELY focused on historical preservation and honoring the past, and he and Raihan butted heads a bit in Raihan’s youth because of their very different outlooks on what role the past should play in the present… however in the present day they get along quite well!

also Raihan calls his dad ‘Baba’ because it’s the cutest thing in the world ;w;

been thinking a lot about the potential of a post-PKMN X timeline for SWSH where Lysandre, having unintentionally made himself immortal with the Ultimate Weapon, faked his death and ran away to Galar to regroup and try to reverse it. Smash cut to about six years later and his cover is blown when he and Professor Sycamore unexpectedly cross paths once more… I don’t really have much more than that thought right now, but. I LIKE IT.
also since drawing this I definitely decided that Lysandre, working as his new identity of Mr. Elys, is Leon’s personal stylist :’B

more Pokemon doodles! this illustrates some of my Leon headcanons - he’s trans, so jot that down, and he used his Gym Challenge as a starting point for his social transition. Before that he would dress in a sporty-cute kinda style. Also, he and Sonia have known each other since they were babies!

I drew these Galolios and then sat on them for a month, whoops! anyways: I still care deeply for them

I got Pokemon Shield for Crimmus and GOSH, I’m having a ton of fun… I love all the characters, especially Leon, and I can’t wait to meet all the Gym Leaders - looking forward to Opal in particular~

Earlier this week I was listening to that old Peter & Gordon song “Lady Godiva” and then I was hit with this idea, which made me burst out cackling alone in my car in traffic at 9 am… so of course I HAD to draw it :D

in any case, I think Aziraphale looks quite sweet as Lady Godiva <3

Just a WIP for Fanart Sunday today,,, I cut one of my fingers pretty bad at work this weekend so I’m not quite up to snuff for drawing :’D I’d love to finish this snuggle soon, though!

I can’t quite decide what Aziraphale’s animal aspect would be if he had one, but chickens are a strong contender:

-fluffy and cute
-but will also fuck you up
-social, intelligent, downright cuddly
-but also quite anxious in certain ways
-will go absolutely feral for a tasty snack

I rest my case.
