Happy Packsgiving from our club to you and yours! Packsgiving is a WRFS original holiday that we created to celebrate fencing family. It’s like Thanksgiving, but with clubmates instead of those awkward relatives you only see once a year. (Also it’s much more acceptable to start a duel over the last piece of dessert.)
This year, we celebrated our 2nd annual Packsgiving with food, awards, and our usual general shenanigans.

simping for jean beraud’s swordswomen so I made my own
Some friend character tokens. I’ve only ever had online DND since most of my nerd buddies are scattered all over, but I require tokens from all my players. If they can’t draw, then I offer to make one for them and they describe the designs.
The first is a high elf bard named Jenz who wants to duel everyone he comes across. The second is for Lucy, an awkward half-orc warlock who’s patron is his imaginary friend Gertrude.

Last week was the kids, today some adult npcs. A fancy halfling fencer, a flying play director, a spry athlete, a charming professional arm wrestler, and a big green swordboy.

Ready to fiiiiight. Honestly, I can’t thank ArmStreet enough - I didn’t bring any of the fencing stuff with me (completely forgot about the whole Pennsic thing when I was packing my bags for Ukraine… oops…), and they put together some basic kit in less than a week!! I am so lucky to have such a kind, thoughtful employer.
Also, these are the first gloves EVER that actually properly fit my tiny hands! So, so happy. Here’s what I’m wearing because someone will inevitably ask!
Gloves:Padded Fencing Gloves
Gorget:Errant Squire Gorget - super basic stainless steel gorget.
Gambeson:Kingmaker Gambeson -a two-part gambeson that separates the arms from the vest, meaning that when I have a leg harness attached to it, the suspension of it won’t be affected when I raise my arms.
