i still haven’t recovered from thinking about how much pain sage is in from watching the love of his life be tortured and ripped away from him. the desperation when he said “i can’t lose you!” the way he clawed through the corrupted to get to you but he still lost the fight and you. yeah that chapter fucked me up
okay so initially when i played sage ch12 i was like “huh, why isn’t he as relieved/excited to see MC…” but then i really had to sit and think about what it must have been like for sage and oh fuck. imagine thinking the love of your life was dead and feeling like it was your fault… every day for six months you wake up not only with grief, but with this voice in your head cursing you for not protecting the person you swore you would. the person who walked in and gave you a new purpose. the person who made you cherish life and look forward to every day if it meant spending it with them. the person who accepted who you were, walls down and all. they believed in you and they loved you. and shit, you loved them too. so much that all you ever wanted was for them to be safe. and you swore you would do everything you can to protect them. but when it came down to it, you couldn’t. now your person is gone.
i think after feeling this pain for so long it understandably and logically closed sage off. it changes a person. you get to a point where you accept they’re not coming back, and all you can do is deal with the fucked up situation gramme has created. maybe a part of you is even relieved MC wasn’t there to experience it.
but then one day after 6 months of feeling all of this, MC shows up. it feels unreal. this must be a hoax you think. but they’re there and they’re not hurt. a part of you wants to be excited and feel hopeful, but you’ve just seen too much. been through so much that it’s hard to be in place where you think things are going to be okay. having the MC back provides the possibility that what happened before could happen again. what if you can’t save them? what if they die for real this time? after experiencing the pain of feeling like that already happened, it would be difficult to be in place where you have to consider that it could happen again.
(also, if you’re worried sage doesn’t care anymore, think about how losing you changed him. so much. i know he’s still sage, but a lot of us feel like he’s a different person because he’s changed so much, and i think that’s a testament to how much what happened affected him. not saying we should take satisfaction in that, but you should acknowledge how much the MC means to him)
Chapter 12 was quite… a thing. It had me shaken, but inspired me out of sorta artblock too. I personnally prefer this drawing black'n white, for i enjoy lines ❤

So here is the Last Legacy version of the Pokemon Au.For this one, I see the Starsworn being somewhat like Pokemon Rangers seeing how they both protect and help people and their world.
Alolan Marowak(Fire/Ghost) - Besides both having the same green flames, (and possibly height XD), this Marowak is referred as “conjurers of the dead”, with their spirt projecting and sixth sense.
Meowstic (Psychic)-The Stella vibes are strong with this one.
Cofagrigus (Ghost)- Felix occasionally visits a lot of crypts and masoleums, so it’s only natural he catches a ghost pokemon lurking around.
Decidueye(Grass/ Ghost)- So I’m in the same camp that think that Felix got his admiration of plants from Florian, so why not have a pokemon that mashes both his and his Dads interests.
Spiritomb (Ghost/Dark)- Felix has had many……”accidents “ in his life so coming a cross and eventually this spirit makes perfect sense.
Litwick(Ghost/Fire)- Reflects on how flustered and clumsy Felix can be.
Absol(Dark)- Part of this pick goes into spoiler territory for her Route, but it’s also due to its cat like appearance. Absol is also good natured and known to help those in need.
Samurott(Water)- Since Anisa is a knight , Samurott’s valiant and selfless nature fits well with her.
Aegislash(Steel/Ghost)- This mostly connects to her relic and what knight isn’t without her sword and sheild.
Togekiss(Fairy/Flying)-A pokemon relating to Anisa’s moral and gentle nature. This pokemon soars to a variety of different places, so this can connect her to awareness of outer realms.
Wingull(Water/Flying)- Another one relating to other realms.With having this pokemon around, it kinda examples where Anisa gets alot of foreign items and collection, as well as the sheer amount of junk she has in her apartment.
Kirlia(Psyhic)- I wanted to give her a pokemon to reflect her graceful and playful side.
Incineroar(Fire/Dark)- I mean come on! A hot tempered kitty with a burning fuse, how could he NOT have this pokemon.
Darmanitan(Fire)- Another big fiery muscle. Though I think this one can show more control when it goes into zen mode
Pignite(Fire/Fighting)- This little guy is a big eater as much as Sage is a bar hopping party animal. I can definitely see them running up each others tabs.
Zoura(Dark)- A mischievous little furball who finds trouble wherever they go. It’s a perfect match. Sage probably ran into him while he was on the street as a kid.
Scrafty(Dark/Fighting)- Fits his “Lone Wolf” persona and tendencies, as well as his impatient personality.
Obstagoon(Dark/Normal)- Sage would have probably got this wild pokemon after MC’s disappearance and when Astrea was taken over. He probably worked up some mutual agreement Obstagoon to wreck havoc while until he assists at killing Gramme.
