When I mentioned Safe Haven Community in #Australia, they didn’t hesitate for 1 second to add them to their list of #resources.

This Sunday, hundreds of Mexicans protested gender-based violence in a silent march in Mexico, where an average of 10 women are murdered every day. Read more about the silent march at this link.

ranian women were allowed to attend a live stadium soccer match on Thursday for the first time in about four decades, following a recent threat from FIFA to suspend the country for its discriminatory bans. The decision to allow women into the stadium is a huge win for Global Goal 5, which aims to achieve gender equality by 2030, but it is still unclear whether the ban on women is permanently lifted. 1. In 2016, just 57 percent world’s working-age women are in the labor force, compared to 70 percent of working-age men. Microlending programs like Kiva help women start and sustain their own businesses. (Department of Labor)
