Beautiful beautiful morning. Well you woke up at 5 so the sun wasn’t shining yet. The reason why? Well, today is your partners birthday and you wanted to prepare something special, though there are some twists that you made. One of them is you wanted to ignore him and forgot his birthday. Secondly, you wanted to get a little help and invite Zhongli to his birthday, I mean he’s Childe’s close friend and you knew him so why not invite him. You took a shower and made some breakfast. When you were cooking, Childe came out from the room and just woke up, perfect. He came up to you and hugging you from behind, putting his head on your neck.
“Morning..”, “good morning love.” you said, he’s so cute when he just woke up, you’re a bit unsure if you wanted to continue the plan, but you stay determined. You knew Childe is a bit clingy especially on this specific day. “Do you know what day is today?” he asked you, you knew this was gonna happen, “Tuesday? yeah, I believe it’s Tuesday.” you lied. He frowned and looked at you, finding some clues if you’re lying, to his surprise you kept your normal face. “Oh yeah.. it is Tuesday..” he said with a little bit of hurt in his voice. “Here’s your breakfast babe.” you said, “Oh and I have to leave since the guild needed me.” you added, Childe looked at you sadly, “Can’t you stay for awhile? I miss you..” he plead, but you said you cant and give him a kiss and leave in an urgent, Childe just nodded. Your planned worked and now on to the next step.
You were at the funeral parlor as planned to meet Zhongli, “Good morning Zhongli,” “Good morning y/n, how’s he?” Zhongli asked. “He’s.. well.. let’s just say he’s disappointed when I have to leave early,” you shrugged, Zhongli nodded and take you on shopping for some things, but also keep an eye if Childe is around. It’s almost lunch and you head back to the parlor to put the stuff you’ve bought while Zhongli reserved a place for both of you to eat, you quickly went to the parlor and leave immediately, acted like nothing happened. As you were walking you saw Childe, you wanted to greet him but your next plan was to ignore him. Childe walked up to you but you swerve thinking he was a random person. His heart hurt, like literally… its me special day why you do dis to me :(. “y/n.” he called but you didn’t notice, he watched where you were going and he was shocked that you were spending time with Zhongli. He wanted to pull you and hug you but you were far away. And so he left.
Time skipped
Childe never felt so lonely on his birthday, you weren’t there to give him a proper attention and you went out and talked with his closest friend. Even Zhongli didn’t have time to talk to him, yeah sure busy.. busy talking to my partner :). His day never felt really dull, he’s just wish that today ended quicker. You on the other hand was preparing some decorations with Zhongli at your house, nothing much just a cake, balloons, flowers, and gifts. Everything went well and everything is set, Zhongli is looking out at the window to see if Childe was coming. After a few hours, Zhongli finally saw Childe and the two of you took place, turning of the lights. Childe unlocked the key and came in, ‘sigh, they’re aren’t home yet…’ he thought. Then when he turned on the light, “SURPRISE!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY.” both of you shout, Childe jumped.. he couldn’t believe what he sees, “so two of you actually remembered,” Childe said, “Of course we are. What kind of person are we if we forget about your birthday.” you said and Zhongli nodded. “Go on make a wish,” Zhongli said, Childe blows the candle and both of you cheered. Then both of you give him the presents, Zhongli gave him a really good quality scarf since Childe lives in Snezhnaya, the fabric is really soft, he can’t wait to use it. You gave him a bracelet and a sweater, the sweater is warm and soft and the bracelet has charms on it, a narwhal the shape of his constellation and a rose.. the flower that he first gave to you. He thanked both of you for the present.. but you said there’s one more, a voice recorder device..? You told him to play it.
“Ajax, happy birthday, this is me Tonia, I hope you’re happy at Liyue now, I hope you’re doing great on your work.. y/n wanted us to make this, so here it is hehe. Oh Anthon wants to talk to you, here Anthon..
Ajax, happy birthday, I hope you’re healthy and happy, we’re sorry we aren’t able to visit you to celebrate you’re birthday. this is the least we could do. One gift from one family! BIG BROTHER HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! it’s me Teucerrr, I can’t wait for you to come back home and play again. Tears formed in his eyes.. this is really beautiful, he never thought of having this as a gift, he hugged both of you tightly. He never felt so far from his family after hearing that. You wiped his tears away and looked at him softly. Childe thanks you and Zhongli for this lovely gifts, he wanted to keep it. After that, you and Zhongli treat him for a dinner. Three of you talked and laugh together, basically spending some time together. It’s almost late, Zhongli parted ways from you and Childe and wave a goodbye.
When you got back home, both of you got ready for bed. Once you finished, Childe pulled you into a cuddle, you softly brushed his hair and kissed him softly on his lips. Both of you just talked before both of you started to drift of into a deep sleep, you swear you could feel him smiling while he’s sleeping, he’s really happy.
“Thank you for today, I couldn’t imagine this day without you, and I also never thought hearing my family’s voice at a time like this.. you really are an angel.”

Meanwhile, I would REALLY appreciate it if you could go back to your projects or whatever you were doing before and please stay as far away from me as possible. Beidou: yeah, he’s just angry at the gatcha, he got through this three times already, it will pass eventually. He’s too nice to really hate anyone.
Barbara: *C5* Yeah, he got a bit annoyed because i showed up four times but said it was okay and already have plans for me to help everyone.
Beidou: see? Just give him some time, he’ll get over it.

Zhongli: Traveler, i know this is a unexpected turn of events but a constellation is still a great upgrade for-

Beidou: Zhongli is his favorite, The traveler kisses his boots on a daily basis and now he screamed with him because of you…i take it all back, he REALLY hates you.
Mona: I… *tired sigh* I knew I should’ve stayed in bed today.
*Aether later came back to apologise to Zhongli and hug him for a few hours until he calmed down a bit. He’s still bitter about mona though, and refuses to get a mile near her*

Aether: *Notices Diluc and Tartaglia behind her* I fucking hate you
Childe walked down the streets of mondstadt, happily humming and looking around the dark streets until he spotted a familiar blonde girl standing outside of angel’s share. He would probably get a punch for that, but he decided to sneak behind the girl and cover her eyes.
Childe: guess who? Ojou-chan.
He was already prepared to get a hook straight to the face, but what happened instead was much more shocking to him.
Lumine: Childee! *turns around, jumping on him and making them both fall*
Childe: *shocked* O-ojou-chan? What are you-
Lumine: *with red cheeks and a smile on her face* i just wanted to hug *hic* you.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and managed to get even closer to him. Childe felt his own cheeks heating up at the sudden closeness, he would ask what’s wrong with her, but the strong scent coming from her breath was just the answer he needed.
Childe:Ojou-chan, did you drink alcohol?
Lumine: no, just a few glasses of wine. *hic* Why do you ask?
Childe: *sigh* who on their right mind would give alcohol to an unaccompanied young lady like you? I’ll probably need to have a talk to the bartender. *gets up*
Lumine:*still clinging on him*
Childe: Ojou-chan, can you please let go for a second?
Lumine: hehehe, childe is so tall.
Childe: Ojou-chan please-
Lumine:noooo~ i want you to *hic* carry me.
Childe: *sighs, holding her in his arms* i should probably take you home first anyways.
Lumine: *snuggling on his chest* childe’s arms are so strong, and your chest is *hic* so warm too~
Childe:*blushing*good gods, i don’t know if this is a gift or a punishment.
*a few minutes later, at Lumine’s house*
Childe: *putting lumine on her bed* there, have a good night Ojou-
Lumine: *pulls him on top of her*

Lumine:*with a pout* Can you stop calling me like that already?
Childe: Alright. Lumine?
Lumine: *smiling* Yes?
Childe: can you let me go please?
Lumine: I don’t want to.

Childe: stay? Hah, I thought you hated me Ojou-chan.

Childe: I-i’m sorry Ojou-chan, but i really need to leave. *breaks free and tries to leave*
Lumine:wait!
Childe: *looks back to her, still with pink cheeks*
Lumine:It’s lonely when you’re not around, and when you are I feel happy and safe… *tearing up* please don’t leave me alone Ajax.
Childe:That’s a low blow Ojou-chan… …fine, I’ll stay until you fall asleep, just please don’t cry.
Lumine: *nods, with a small smile*
Childe: *sighs, sitting on the bed next to her*
Lumine:Ajax?
Childe:yeah?
Lumine:Can I get a goodnight kiss?
Childe: a what!?
While Childe tried to shake off the shock from her request, Lumine closed her eyes and reached out for him, waiting for a kiss. Childe’s eyes were locked on her soft pink lips, and there wasn’t anything he wanted more in the world than fulfilling her request, but after taking in a deep breath and gathering his self control, he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
Lumine: *pouts* coward.
Childe: sorry Ojou-chan, maybe when you’re feeling better we can have a real kiss.
Lumine: you’re such a dummy…can you hold my hand at least?
Childe:sure. *holds her hand* Good night Ojou-chan, sweet dreams.
Lumine: Good night…Ajax…zzz.
Childe:*sighs in relief, staying there for some time, just admiring her face* Honestly, I wonder what the other harbingers would say if they saw how much of a mess you make me.
He was about to stroke her hair when the sound of a door opening reached his ears, instantly his peaceful expression was replaced by a cold scowl. He summoned his water daggers and left the room, ready to slice anyone who was dumb enough to invade the house of his dear Ojou-chan.
Childe: *jumps behind the invader, holding his daggers agaimst his throat*
Venti: w-woah! Err…hello there.
Childe: Oh, it’s just you. *sighs, undoing his daggers* What are you doing here bard?
Venti: me? Oh, i just came to check on the traveler.
Childe: She’s fine, she’s sleeping on her bed.
Venti: Really? *sighs in relief* Thank you, for taking care of her that is.
Childe: It was nothing.I’m just doing what I can for her.
Venti: That’s very kind of you. *sighs* I’m relieved that she found you, I nearly had a heart attack when I couldn’t find her. I knew that the wine I gave her was too strong for someone who almost never drinks.
Childe: wait…you gave her the wine?
Venti:yeah, she was stressed so i thought some wine could help.
Childe: *with a shadow cast over his eyes* so it’s your fault she was in that state?
Venti: Well, honestly it was hers for not having limits to drink, but I did give her the wine so i guess i might have a drop of fault in this case.

The textbook - fucking Chemistry 101, Basics for Beginners - fell to the floor with a heavy thunk and right onto her foot. She swore and slammed her hand onto the table, slapping it repeatedly like she wished she could to Zhongli’s stupid face, and it took a few moments of her abusing the poor table before she finally glanced up and gaped at him.
To her irritation, he was merely staring at her, almost bored, like he was used to her cursing at the top of her lungs after dropping a ten pound book on her foot, and she idly wondered if she could maybe throw the text at his overly large head instead.
To her credit, her voice was calm and level, maybe even sweet as she said, “what the fuck, Zhongli?”
