I’m in the mood to just… summarize a Julikado fic I might not even get to writing.
So, Soma, Mina, Yoko and Hammer, in all their youthful scheming, attempt to… set Julius and Arikado up. They all get it in their minds that the two would be cute together. And duh! They clearly like each other!! Why hadn’t anyone thought of this sooner? It’s perfect!
Soma and Mina’s method is to try to reenact Parent Trap to get the two alone together.
Not too harmful, it does result in some backfiring when Arikado nonchalantly comments on Soma and Mina’s relationship and Julius starts ruthlessly teasing the young adults on how cute they are together. Failure.
Yoko makes them reservations at fancy restaurants and speaks to them in only suggestive eyebrow wriggling.
Actually quite pleasant. Arikado laughs?? It’s as subdued as one would expect, but what isn’t expected is his apparently existent sense of humour?? As the crew is spying on the two, they really feel “GOD! HOW ARE THESE TWO NOT ALREADY TOGETHER!?!”
To seal the deal, Hammer… puts mistletoe around. Bumps into Arikado so he’ll fall into Julius’ arms… Hands the two notes “from each other” asking “Do you like me? Yes or No”.
At this point Arikado is not entertained, and Julius knows exactly what’s going on. And the crew is still banking on getting the two to kiss. But their plans are dashed by Arikado’s sudden unavailability whenever they want to trick him into another dinner date. Julius’ response to any questioning is: “Oh, Arikado? We’re partners.” and the kids just want to strangle him. How doesn’t he SEE?
They call for an intervention and demand Arikado and Julius acknowledge the sparks there.
Thoroughly pissed, Arikado refuses on principle. However, Julius finally busts out laughing and tells the group: “Arikado is my partner.” He holds up his left hand, wearing a silver ring.
After Julius loses his memory following the events of 1999, Alucard changes his identity to Genya Arikado and lives a normal domestic life with Julius. Finally, Alucard has a normal life, all only at the cost of Julius’ memories.
Julius doesn’t have to remember Alucard to love him.
I’m thinking of Alucard and his different looks. So, I decided to compile a bunch of pictures of him and we’re pulling a Belt-monts again.
I’m not… including the Netflix show.
Castlevania Legends
Did y’all know he had purple hair in Legends? No one informed me of this. Does this mean that’s his natural hair colour? Or perhaps a disguise is more likely? (I joke that he was going through a crisis and dyed his hair). Either way, I love him. And I feel this could tie into Castlevania 64 where Dracula was purple as well! I’d like to see this and the Dracula’s Curse design in a style more akin to Kojima’s, that’d be neat.

And I understand that they wanted a recognizable design for the show (they didn’t succeed doing that with the MAIN CHARACTER TREVOR BUT WHATEVER), but Alucard looked like this in Dracula’s Curse. Another new look for him, guess he had to keep it on the DL that he dated Trevor’s mom in high school, and this was his solution. I have a soft spot for him looking more movie-Dracula-esqe. This is his BAD BOY PHASE!!

Here’s the boy we all know and love. I love when they make his hair almost like,,, white gold in colour. Just so silvery you can hardly call it blond. Hhhh, just look at my perfect boy.
Aria/Dawn of Sorrow/Grimoire of Souls
Genya Arikado <333 What can I even say? I love him? I want to run my fingers through his hair. It’s different than with normal Alucard tho. I think it’s because Arikado is his human form, so he looks more human, so my brain is like “this is a real person we could pet”.

My baby boy. Have I ever talked about how much I love Trevor in the Lords of Shadow timeline? He’s my baby. I love that we got that deep lore that his less human pallor and white hair are a product of him refusing to drink blood. Also, I love the Belmont family tradition in LoS to bare the chest.
Castlevania Judgement
Judgement Alucard… doesn’t even look like an Alucard… he just looks like an edgy anime boy. But can’t the same be said of all the designs in Judgement? Honestly looks more like Joachim Armster. Why the fuck is his cape a quilt…? Whatever. If this were a design for Joachim, I wouldn’t dislike it this much.
Pachislot Akumajō Dracula
They did my boy dirty (blond) in Pachislot. No, but really, it’s interesting to see Alucard with dirty blond hair instead of platinum. He kinda lacks that… Alucard essence… I think it’s the modelling on the face, maybe?
Concept Design??
I found this on the wiki. I believe this was perhaps a rough draft? He looks cute, ngl. I love his wavy hair and his boots!! It kinda looks… like he’s wearing short shorts… and I love that…
I’m so mad, why couldn’t he have just fucking shown up the first time. Y’all really telling me that Soma equipping Mina’s talisman DIDN’T make Soma’s spirit stronger, it just made Alucard WALK FASTER?? You could argue that it helped stall for time but… it didn’t, is the thing… Alucard legit just showed up earlier in the scene.
