Turns out he was grumpy in my last doodle because he was thinking about the night he got drunk and tried to roast Cortez in the oven.
He thought he was dead all these years, but Cortez suddenly showed up, croaked angrily at him for five minutes, pecked him sharply on the head, and now they are BFF’s again!
(According to the Gorillaz Almanac, Murdoc did get drunk on absinthe, and tried to roast the raven after his takeaway was not delivered. Cortez escaped, leaving behind some frazzled feathers, and now works at the Tower of London.)

Alright, guys. I’m packing you all back into my Station Wagon for another trip back to the 80’s because @radioactive-goo made me think of another Gorillaz x synthwave mashup ( I read y'all’s tags *evil laughter*). Everyone make sure you use the bathroom before we leave because I am notstopping!
Because I’m a big nerd, and an 80’s kid, I’m going to pack all of you into my red Station Wagon, with no seatbelts, no air conditioning (sorry, it broke), and only a casette tape player, and make you travel down Memory Lane with me. And possibly scar you all for life with our atrocious idea of peak neon graphic design.

@radioactive-goo I ’m gonna make you cry a little more by creating a little backstory/scenario for this picture:
The band and some collaborators are standing around in the studio, discussing details for their next video, when Noodle leans on Murdoc with a tired yawn. Without even a break in his conversation, Murdad grabs a throw blanket off the couch, and scoops up Noodle, bundling the blanket around her. He keeps right on talking while everyone else desperately tries not to loose their collective doo doo as they watch Murdoc F-ing Niccals begin gently swaying from side to side, his FedEx Kid resting comfortably in his arms. Noodle is out like a light 10 seconds later and a picture ends up on the internet.
