Kanej Vampire/Hunter AU. While eliminating a business rival, Kaz saves a young girl from blood slavery. Years later, a mysterious vampire hunter surfaces, the likes of which the underworld has scarcely seen. Quiet, deadly, and undefeated. No name or face is attached to the bodycount; only an anxiously whispered title: the Wraith.
“Oh, wow! You’re still here!” A voice interrupted her thinking, way too bright and cheery considering it was close to midnight. Zoya looked up to meet Alina’s gaze. Aleksander’s assistant was dressed in a smile and a yellow sundress that could almost be deemed inappropriate for the workplace environment. Alina was the only one that ever tried to wear colors like that, and Zoya was pretty sure no one else would be able to get away with that. “Do you need anything? Coffee?”
Zoya raised an eyebrow as she shoved the fidget toy back into her desk drawer. “You know you’re not my assistant, right?”

About the art
Initially I’d planned to colour the piece like 'normal’, but I’d done the sketch in white on a coloured BG and loved it so much that I wanted to try keeping it to the end! I’ve never tried this style before, but I had a lot of fun. The blanket, interestingly, developed almost…fire-like vibes? Blueish for the hottest flame?
I also had fun trying very slight drop shadowing for the writing and Procreate’s bokeh brush. Lots of new things in this painting! Hope you like it
