SAKURA

Haunted her family dojo for a long time in isolation, now abandoned by the living and left to overgrown ruin. She normally protects it from trespassers, but when Aoi shows up one day she let’s her hang around for the company. She still does her usual training, tho it’s more for the comforting routine than anything else. Over time, she starts finding the motivation to fix the grounds up a bit, finding that she still wants to use her knowledge to teach and help others become strong. Her dream is to help someone take her old title as strongest person alive.

She’s a bit standoffish and intimidating to newly met people, more out of awkwardness than malice due to her years of self isolated training. But after so much time spent with a hypersocial fish wife, she’s mostly gotten over that and has a much warmer, comforting social presence (except for with Hiro, but she’s mostly just playing it up bc she likes how easy he is to scare)

While on the search for a young Maki, Aoi came back with a lost kid that she thought was her, but sadly was not. This kid had no other family, so Aoi and Sakura took her in as their own, naming her Tenko.

Sakura became her daughter’s mentor, and ended up being the one to keep her out of trouble and channel her chaotic energy with martial arts while Aoi worked on her new bakery business.

AOI

Friendly water elemental that wound up in Sakura’s dojo pond on her travels, and liked it so much she never really went away.

Very social, if she sees folks she’ll come right up and say hello, decide they’re friends and they have very little say in it.

Maintains the large pond on the dojo grounds, filling it with all sorts of fish and aquatic life she finds or rescues, mostly different breeds of carp and amphibians.

Never put much focus on keeping a humanoid form, relying on her loose jacket to do most of the work when that’s necessary. Sakura just carries her in a bucket most of the time anyway, so she never felt the need. However, when Tenko came to them she found herself wanting to do things for her that were difficult with fins, and so she started working on it, eventually doing a pretty passable job..

Realizes hands can also make donuts!! Woah!! So she goes and opens her own bakery, a family business in a quaint village not far from the dojo. It often serves as a hub for their various friends to come pay visits, and they host an occasional holiday there.

Kyoko:You don’t have to be a detective to know that you’re a piece of shit. 

Togami: Oh, we are WELLpast the point of discovering I’m an asshole. You don’t get to be surprised.

Aoi: I really wanted dessert, but I didn’t have anything in the house… so I just went downstairs and ate an entire jar of sprinkles. Do you think I’ll die??

Mondo: *in the background, chanted without emotion* What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuc-

Chihiro: I am very frightened and would like to go home, and also a pinata. I have been good and I deserve one. That is all. Thank you for your time.

Ishimaru:Hey, y’all! I know it’s not cool to follow rules in this wasteland God has abandoned, but I must inform you that the laws of physics do still remain in place the next time you decide to attempt to throw an entire loaf of bread onto the balcony. 

Sakura:I am not usually an angry person… but you, sir, fill me with an absolutely ungodly amount of rage.

Hifumi:Told a girl on Bumble that she looked like this one cat girl in an anime… no response so far, but I’ll keep you posted.

Celeste:I’m neither smart or hard-working enough to be getting an A in this class, but I am an incrediblygood liar. 

Sayaka:Can whoever is singing Taylor Swift’s “Haunted” in the basement this loudly at 2 A.M. learn to hit the notes? I don’t care about the noise, but girl, you ain’t doing this song justice. 

Leon:Oh, come on! Do I look like the kind of person who people are going to care about if they died during this?

Hagakure:The stars said we’re either going to get to stay for another six weeks or we’ll be going home tomorrow… so… I’m honestly more confused than when I started.

Toko:I’m just going to stay in the library with my book and hope I die there!

Junko:*while clapping* Say it with me! Pretty! Girls! Can! Commit! Arson!!

Mukuro:*holding a knife* If you don’t stop being stupid, this is going to stop being called “the kitchen” and start being called “the place they found that dude’s body one time”.

Oof! This took longer than I expected, swapping over from phtoshop to clip studio paint gave me JIP.
I’m a creature of habit, I am not known for my adaptability.

Previously I’ve done the daily prompts to keep myself drawing regularly throughout the month but I didn’t feel the need to this year.
That being said I didn’t want October to fly by without any ink art so I had a little fun with these Blackened/Victim tarot cards

DR: THH boys comforting a transmasc partner with body image issues

Makoto

We all know that Makoto has the upper body strength of a newborn baby, but that doesn’t stop him from putting some physicality behind his support for you, or attempting to throw hands with anyone who disrespects you. He’ll stand there and argue with someone for as long as it takes to get them to respect you, and shut down any ignorant comments they try to make when it comes to how people think you “should” look and whether or not you “pass.” He’ll sit with you through all of your highs and your lows, and remind you of how much progress you’ve made along the way. He also goes along with you to events and appointments as your moral support, and brainstorms with you ideas of how to combat your body image issues.

Leon

The first time you express to Leon that you don’t really like how you look, he laughs and tells you you’re crazy. He flatters you to hell and back, telling you you’re the cutest guy he’s ever gone out with, and you’ve got nothing to worry about. Anyone who can’t see how gorgeous you are is obviously blind, or just has bad taste. The second time you bring it up, he tries reassuring you again, but also tells you flat-out that looks aren’t everything, and suggests you try not to focus on it so much. Stuff like that is fleeting.

You don’t bring it up the third time, but he can still tell that it’s bothering you a lot. So this time, he asks you what it is, exactly, you don’t like about your body. Maybe it’s something he can help you with? And in the end, it sort of is: he doesn’t know a lot about what it is to hate your body, but he knows a lot about confidence, and even if that can’t fix everything, it can take you pretty far.

Mondo

You have to explain to him a couple times what you mean by dysphoria, and sometimes he gets the word wrong, but Mondo generally understands the concept of what you mean. It’s not like he’s always been happy with how he looks, either, though he knows that’s kind of different. So his method of trying to combat your dysphoria and body image issues is to aggressively include you in anything and everything masculine he can possibly think of, regardless of how much interest either of you has in it. He teaches you about bikes and fighting and lets you wear his jacket. He’s nothing if not enthusiastic and supportive of you. 

He’s clearly nervous about it, but he also takes you the gym to work out, and to teach you how to defend yourself. He’s not planning on just up and leaving you stranded when trouble starts, but he knows from personal experience what it’s like to feel weak and that sometimes you get tired of not being able to stand up for yourself. 

Taka

Taka’s not exactly fantastic at comforting others, but what he lacks in tact he more than makes up for in enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

He starts by attacking your concerns like a logic problem, pointing out that even cisgendered individuals have a variety of body types and characteristics. Even cis men have breasts - that’s what makes them mammals. But when he realizes that’s not helping, he feels terrible…and is determined to do better! He stays up all night doing research into self esteem and body image issues and dysphoria among transmasc people, making an exhaustive list of every single tip, suggestion and personal experience he could find relating to how to combat it. He vows to do whatever he can to help you feel better about yourself, whether that’s through making changes or just instilling confidence in yourself. Basically, he becomes your own personal cheerleader. 

Hifumi

He’s a little inept at comforting. He starts, at first, by telling you that variety is the spice of life; if everything looked the same, how boring would that be? No art is made great through conformity. What makes the great movies, the great anime, the great music and everything in general stand out is its diversity. 

…but once he’s done being kind of dramatic, he’s just honest with you. He doesn’t know exactly what you’re going through with dysphoria, but he has body image issues too. He’s always struggled with it, and he knows how much it sucks. He doesn’t have the right words to comfort you, maybe, but he’s always there to listen.

Hiro

Hiro’s not great with advice. But, it is pretty easy for him to tell that something’s bugging you. He listens to you talk about your concerns, and in the end, he’s pretty blunt: “I can’t help you.” You’re not sure if his honesty is refreshing or disappointing. Then he says he knows what will help, and proceeds to distract you with the most inane nonsense you’ve ever heard. Each series of nonsequiturs gets you further and further away from your doubts by the sheer strangeness of them, and by the end of the day you’re laughing, having completely forgotten that you were upset in the first place. Then he tells you that it doesn’t take a crystal ball to tell him that your future is bright, and given time you’ll be exactly the way you want to be. 

Byakuya

He’s got enough money to buy out an entire country. He’s not the most sympathetic to your plights - he still thinks of himself as being perfect in every possible way - but if it’s really bothering you so much, he’ll pay for whatever makes you feel more comfortable in your body: surgery, new clothes, a personal trainer, whatever. And he has no qualms about suing anyone who deadnames or misgenders you. He has his lawyer on speed dial if someone so much as looks at you wrong when trying to go to the bathroom.
