Altered my Sabaton so it sits nicely and fixed onto my greaves! Biggest issue I had before was that when these were in its 15th century state, which sabatons and greaves were not attached, is that these store bought products doesn’t fit well and the sabaton were seriously hurting my super flat feet.
Took most of the lames apart, made a new transition part to attach the two parts, and the result is quite comfortable! Time to work on the other one before adding a back plate for the sabaton!
Weekly exercise! Thanks to @hoshino.armory for filming me during my 1km run. Well, I had to split the 1km to run and walk because I wore the wrong shoe. But overall, tons of fun, the kids around the park loved it!!! (So happen that there was a junior soccer tournament going on, so there was no shortage of audience!)
Best cardio workout!
Tried to run with the @calimacil_official zweihanded, but ended up holding it like a poleaxe anyway haha.
Beginning to future-liza my legs! In the 16th century, many sabatons were attached to the greaves, where it behaves as one system. There are a lot of work needed to be done to these before it can look anything like the real thing but for now, just testing out the front part of how the sabaton and the greaves works with one another.
Just a hang out with @chababolog ,trying on new armor to our kit. So glad that my 15th century kit has a good new owner! Hahaha can you tell which one is Kingulus? It was weird fighting an armor that I used to fight in!
Been working on adding lames to my gorget so I can make it into a Turner style armet and helmet. Well, it worked really well until one of the temporary rivet popped out. Thus the gap on my neck. But.. SO FAR SO GOOOD. will start polishing it tomorrow so i can proper peen the pieces together.
A few things I did was adding more lames to the gorget, hammering the top rim flat, and fixing the armet so it locks the gorget in plate. MAN that was a lot of satisfying fun hammering.
Maxmilliom the First Armet from off the shelve product, but works for a temporary helmet.
Original Gorget and piscod breast plate by @aegisarmour
Picked up a simple maxmillion helmet so I can learn how to properly fix my gorget and concert it into a turning style gorget. Mann this armet is so comfy!!!! Can’t wait to hit some metal yo
MY DOUBLEPAYER CAME IN!!! Who says Bohurt weapon aren’t safe and beautiful?!?!?! This new zweihander by @medieval_extreme is all I can ever ask for. It’s light, quite pleasing to look at and seems to be quite safe for sparring! I can see how some think it’s a bit tooooo wobbly, but hey, I rather my friends not get hurt from a stab of this.
This is a 16th century greatsword known as the Zweihander (for all you dark souls fans) or Montante, it is surprisingly light for its MASSIVE side, to the point where I feel quite comfy just holding and swinging it one handedly. The flamberge blade is my personal request as I am a suckered for wavy and curvy steel.
Visor are typically latched down, either over the pin, or into a cored out hole in the pin. I find these to be absolutely fascinating as It takes so much precision to even get the latch to close everytime.
That and I wonder..would the latch lock my head In if it was struck hard enough
Many armors in the museum has minor imperfections, dents, ridges not perfectly straight, edges not evenly smooth, and its all proof that each and every piece were crafted by the skilled hands of a master of their craft. I often embrace these marks of human touch rather than the perfect industrial clean cut machine work.

Went for a walk to test out my new helmet! Took photos with neighbour’s, helped a biker cross the road, put back up a lawn sign with my dagger, ahh a nice walk indeed.
Very me. Bonk my friend.. instantly check to see if they are okay. I have a tendency to hit lightly because I’m afraid of hurting my training partner, but at times, I’m sure this habit of mine will bite me in the butt in real life. Video by one of our clubmate. Think the font was when he was trying to post for something else?
It’s good to spar in armor again! Died already about 20 bouts.
