this thought has been with me for years and i’d like to know if anyone else thinks that john denver is the human version of kermit the frog,,,

Went on a hike this weekend, and I found a tunnel and some beautiful little spring flowers by the river.

I thought it was very fitting that I had a John Denver song stuck in my head

@dagoth-menthol tagged me to this game and it’s bomb bro!!

1. A song that makes you feel cool: Pretty Boy by Joji. The whole bass and vocal got me feeling like someone riding an open top car with my hair flowing, smoking something and let the ember coast along the road I’m driving on. I don’t smoke, I don’t have a car like that but still. It makes me feel like a cold, seemingly carefree but somewhat lost wanderer who lives on the whole aesthetic of being lonesome and longing for something they have lost.

2. A song you can relate to: This one is hard to think of. I guess it’s I Want to Break Free by Queen.

3. A song your mum loves:Dancing Queen by ABBA.

4. Your favourite song from a musical: I did watch Phantom of the Opera and it was hella good on stage. This man does the summary of all the songs perfectly. Phantom of the Opera, covered by Nick Pitera.

5. A song you never want to hear again:Next Level sung again by Aespa. Look. I know how much work these Korean Kpop idols put in their performance, singing, choreography and production. But this song has an original version, which is done by A$ton Wyld. I don’t see Aespa or their entertainment company crediting A$ton on YouTube. Although I could find who the original singer was quite easily, I don’t know why the original singer wasn’t credited on platforms like YouTube, where a lot of people may assume that this song is originally sung by Aespa. And the lyric also irks me. It’s quite limited to the context of Aespa’s supposed concept as an idol group. I don’t like it. This is my very personal bits of two cents. 

6. Your least favourite song from a band you like: Mmmm I don’t know. I don’t know a lot of bands WAIT I KNOW GORILLAZ IS A BAND okay so I never really conneced with El Manana because I don’t know. It didn’t vibe with me.

7. Your favourite song from the 70s:My Sweet Lady by John Denver. Still makes me cry with this voice and melody.

8. A song or band you think is underrated:Circles by Mac Miller. This is pretty deep and to-the-essence of someone hitting the rock bottom. And I kept playing it on repeat for the beauty in its simplicity.

9. A song in a language you don’t speak:Mexico Lindo by Carlo Rustichelli. I found this song through the game called ‘Do Not Feed the Monkeys’ and it got stuck in my brain ever since. But then all I hear is their chorus, so this isn’t really a language that I can’t speak.

10. Your (current) favourite song:집에 Go Back by SE SO NEON. I had this on repeat while I write and play other games. The intro got me hooked, the vocal, instruments and the lyrics. Love it.
