“Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth… This is the real message of love.” ― Thich Nhat Hanh
Doesn’t matter what the press says. Doesn’t matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn’t matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — “No, you move.”
Southern Praying Mantis places a heavy emphasis on close-range fighting. This system is known for its short power methods, and has aspects of both internal and external techniques. In application, the emphasis is on hand and arm techniques, and a limited use of low kicks. The application of close combat methods with an emphasis on hands and short kicking techniques makes the Southern Praying Mantis art somewhat akin to what many would call “street fighting.” The hands are the most readily available for attack and defense of the upper body, and protect the stylist by employing ruthless techniques designed to inflict serious injury. The legs are moved quickly into range through footwork to protect and defend the body, and kicks are kept low, short and quick so as to never leave the Southern Mantis combatant off-balance and vulnerable. I had a friend who used to study in this martial art, it made him very strong and very flexible, quick reflexes also.
Was testing slow motion #video quality using #AfterEffects shooting 24P on #Canon and #BlackMagic. Along with seeing it wasn’t ready for #primetime, discovered my kicking technique, speed and power degraded along with my age. Dear #healthtech, hurry it up with them breakthroughs will ya please? . The thing about having 100+TB of storage is, it’s 100+TB of storage. Maybe #AI enhancements will allow for easier recall soon. . . . . . #martialarts #fitness #muaythai #jiujitsu #kickboxing #mixedmartialarts #karate #fight #movie #filmmaker #motivation #me #training #liveauthentic #menwithclass #humaneffect #themanity
