It can temper us and make us stronger, more capable of handling what’s ahead. But conflict for the sake of conflict is just drama, and it’ll sap you of your energy faster than you realize. Only you can decide which fights are worth having, but if you realize you’re facing a lost cause the only thing you can do is get yourself out of there as quickly as possible, even if it means conceding ground or bruising your ego. GROWTH * POWER * WISDOM!
This is a virtual workshop open to beginners and practiced mystics alike! The moon is a powerful ally – not only is it a window into our subconscious, but it’s a symbol of the cycles of life, the hidden realms beyond our visible world, and a symbol of the divine feminine. This workshop explores the meaning and power of the moon and our ability to connect with its presence and power in our own lives.

We will be exploring setting intentions with Tarot cards, learning a simple, but effective spell / one-card manifestation exercise, and getting together to explore the most progressive and positive cards in the Tarot deck together and their relationship to the moon. You do not need to prepare anything - in fact, this is also an opportunity to get to know the topic and others that share your interests!

This is one of a series of upcoming Young Mystics workshops where we will be investigating personal power through the use of Tarot and Mysticism. This class is taught by Light Grey Founder, Lindsay Nohl @paperbicycle and co-hosted by gallery manager, Jenny Wells @jennywellsstudio and will be a combination of lecture and interactive personal study! You’ll need a notebook, deck (if you have one) and something to write with :) 

This workshop is virtual and open to all (Beginners and practiced folks ALL WELCOME!) We are hosting on discord, so if you are interested in signing up, head to the link in our b*o to RSVP! ½ of the pieces I did for Rafael Mayani’s show at Light Grey Art Lab! The show is called Synesthesia, with themes about memories an feelings tied to certain senses. One of my fondest memories is walking to the flower markets with my mum in Hong Kong and the osmanthus blooms that line a small alley perpendicular to Bird Street. The show opens April 27th and has a bunch of really cool folks!!

I recently went on a trip to Japan with @lightgreyartgallery and it was incredible! I had so much fun exploring a new country with my sketchbook and lots of brilliant artists. Here are a bunch of sketches from my Instagram! I’ll probably post a few more as I finish up the sketchbook :)

I‘m going to Japan in November! I’ll be traveling with @lightgreyartlab and sketching my way through the country! I’m so excited to be visiting Japan during the beautiful fall season Most of the itinerary is already figured out, but if anyone has any recommendations for things to see, eat, draw in Tokyo, lemme know!
