Why is no one talking about the scene were Druig and Ikaris trade the book and Twinkies??? It screams older golden child and annoying edgy younger sibling.
And the fact that Druig probably used the book as a conversation starter with Makkari
I watched the Eternals today and I think it was good, but I really Don’t like what they did with Ikaris , making him the villain was a bad decision, I mean in the comics he was main Eternal, the one who always was in front on covers. And even if they had to make him a villain they didn’t have to kill him, they could leave him alive for the sequel where he could have redemption arc, but that’s problem with MCU they have to kill off their villains. Still I hope he will reborn in the sequel considering they were able to do that in the comics. Besides it would waste of a good actor such as Richard Madden
So everyone’s saying how they came out of the movie preferring Makkari/Druig over Sersi/Ikaris, and yeah while they’re cute and I ship it, Ikarsi just have me in even more of a chokehold.
Ignoring their tragic ass ending, I just love the dynamic of awkward, innocent first love where both are utterly nervous and terrified of fucking it up because they have no idea what they’re doing but also super excited and eager and so much in love. That trying to find how you fit with another person, slow but steady, until one day you’re seamless like it’s always been easy and effortless. Both imperfect but filling the spaces of the other perfectly.
the words “my beautiful, beautiful makkari, did you miss me?” will forever live in my head rent free. im afraid i won’t ever be able to be in love because that just made my standards even higher
Circe was a goddess of sorcery who was especially skilled in the magic of transmutation and would transform her enemies, or those who offended her, into animals.
Sersi has similar powers, wieldingthe power of matter transmutation, changing the makeup of any non-sentient material she touches.
Ikaros x Ikaris
Ikaros was the son of Daedalus with whom he attempted to escape from Crete by means of wings that Daedalus constructed from feathers and wax. Icarus though flies too close to the sun, causing the wax in his wings to melt. He tumbles out of the sky, falls into the sea, and drowns.
Ikaris is the only one of the Eternals with the ability of flight and he is able to project powerful cosmic energy beams from his eyes (which is rather unrelated to Ikaros). He also died by flying into the sun which is quiet similar to the way Ikaros died.
Athena x Thena
Athena was the goddess of wisdom and war and was regarded as the patron and protectress of various cities across Greece, particularly the city of Athens.
Thenawields the power to manifest any handheld weapon she can imagine with pure cosmic energy. Like Athena her weapons of choice are most of the time a spear and a shield. She is even referred to as ‘goddess of war’ by her teammates since in this universe the greek goddess Athena is based on her.
Ajax x Ajak
Ajaxwas a great hero, who plays an important role in the Trojan war and is portrayed as a towering figure and a warrior of great courage in Homer’s Iliad .
Ajak has, besides being a leader, not much in common with the Greek Ajax (in the comics on the other hand, where she is potrayed as a male, it is stated that she/he fought in the Trojan war). She was able to use her cosmic energy to heal humans and Eternals alike from injuries and illnesses.
Hermes x Makkari
Hermes is considered the herald of the gods and able to move quickly and freely between the worlds of the mortal and the divine, aided by his winged sandals.
Makarri uses her cosmically powered super-speed to scout planets for the Eternals, and as the only Deaf Eternal, the sonic boom that accompanies her cosmic running does not affect her.In the comics she is sometimes referred to as Mercury, the Roman version of Hermes.
Hephaistos x Phastos
Hephaistos was the god of fire, smiths, craftsmen and metalworking. He made all the weapons and armour of the gods in Olympus and served as their blacksmith.
Phastos is a technopath, able to create any invention or weapon, powered by cosmic energy. He isoften seen as the blacksmith and weapons-maker of the Eternals.
Summary: They believed that you and Druig was soulmates, that you would marry him one day just like your brother and Sersi, but it all shattered one day when Druig left and you were alone in the darkness.
A/N: I love Druig and Sersi’s powers in this film. To be honest, this film wasn’t that great like the others marvel movies but the visualls was amazing. This is my first writing Druig and i hope that i wrote him correctly lmao.
You were attracted to each other and every time he was in the same room as you, you could feel yourself pulling towards him. Everyone believed that one day you and he would be together, almost being together in a relationship just like Sersi and Ikaris.
They believed that the two of you were soulmates, but when the day Druig decided to leave you and your family, it felt like a part of you was gone. Soon enough, you started to stop believing that the two of you were destined for each other.
Your brother, Ikaries didn’t get along with Druig and when he saw how he broke your heart, he wanted nothing but protect you and take the pain away. But he knew that a part of you will always be loving him.
But now, centuries later, you were walking through the Amazon along with the rest of your family. It was a family reunion since Ajak was dead and the deviants were back. You were extremely nervous and your breathing quickened as you tried to find Druig.
‘’Are you alright?’’ Your thoughts snapped away as soon you heard Sersi’s voice. You turned your eyes, just to meet hers with a concerned expression on her face. Sersi was like a sister to you. Probably why you immediately accepted her when your brother married her in the first place.
‘’Fine, just nervous, that’s all.’’ You replied and tried to send her an assuring smile. However, she noticed your hesitation and didn’t ask any questions. You stopped in your tracks and you could feel the pull. The pull when he used to be near your body and you could feel it.
The doors suddenly opened and your eyes drifted towards the familiar brown eyes that you tried to forget. ‘’Hello, Y/n.’’ He greeted you, ignoring the rest of the others. You looked at him, trying to cover the overwhelming emotions. ‘’Druig.’’ You responded dryly before he looked at the others. You could feel your brother’s gaze on you as Druig looked at them with a smirk.
‘’Come on in, make yourself at home.’’ He commented. After all those years you’ve tried to forget him but yet you felt yourself pulling back to him.
