Brief Magolor + Bandanna Waddle Dee comic under the cut
Note: This isn’t a scene that happens in the book. Just something I’d love to see happen after the fact. Context is, Bandanna Waddle Dee is able to hear the Lor’s voice. Magolor, however, cannot hear it.
A burnout break allowed me to organize my procreate folders and drawings and I found some things I never posted here. Introducing the idea nobody asked for: ‘Magolor but he’s the test tube cat from 64.’
I’ve also been trying to sketch again, which I can if I turn my brain off which is good since even if I can’t focus I can still pick up a pencil and draw images.
Spell patterns on Magolor…. My gjinka of him has them (bc hes a magic/spell machination that needs quick access to spells)…but what if my interp of his canon look has it too? (Most of these patterns are lifted straight from my gjinka!)
It would make sense. Ig. He has some spells he etched on himself so that he’ll always have access to them/make the casting quicker. Some spells help him absorb/restore/sense energy. The large one on his back is a shield spell thats constantly running (and will grow stronger if he feeds it more energy)
I think he has a high level healing spell on him somewhere… its new. He hopes to never have to use it.
Ayyy glad you noticed the ’tattoos’ on him. I wanted to give him physical features left behind by the Master Crown and the runes worked perfect as a permanent reminder of what he attempted to do. Your idea of him just completely covering himself in spells is a nice idea as well.
So in my mind, Marx is part noddy part scarfy and he does indeed have the ears. Birth of a Wish was actually started because of convos between me and somebody else about Marx and what he is, so I’ll be going into detail about that in the comics a whole lot.
Idea and possible hot take? Magolor appears in the Forgotten Land disguised as an animal and joins the beast pack to spy on them, forwarding info to Kirby and also figuring out the mystery of why a dimensional portal appeared over Popstar in the first place.
Saw that one chapter of Manpuku Pupupu Fantasy about Marx being Kirby’s childhood best friend and I haven’t been thinking about anything else since

We both did the lines together on Aggie, I insisted on putting base color, then I got possessed and started doing cell shading jdjcjc
