Hey everyone! I just posted a new chapter of Song of the Starcrossed - a pre-war TFP MegOP fic that explores what Orion Pax and Megatronus were like before the whole planet went to heck. This update was a lot of fun to write - I hope you enjoy reading it!

(Kaon - Part 1)

All optics in the pavilion gawked at the sight of the champion gladiator who had materialized from the sky and was now drawing himself up to his full height in front of a smaller, red and blue plated bot.

He’s shorter than I expected, thought Megatronus. Amusement played across his faceplate as he watched the stunned archivist regain his composure. “Orion Pax, I presume.”

“Megatronus,” Orion broke into a delighted grin. “It’s so good to see you!”

“The pleasure is all mine.” Megatronus gave a little bow and made a gracious gesture with his arms. “Welcome to Kaon, my friend. Come - allow me to show you around.”

I *might* have taken a few creative liberties with this story compared to Irving’s ‘Exodus’ novel. (For example, OP visits Kaon three times in the fic rather than only once in 'Exodus’ - next update is the first visit)

Writing the character interactions is a lot of fun, and I hope I did them justice.

Tarn, from DELTA 84, my original continuity. While D84 is far from presentable in its current state, I do have enough built up for a character synopsis.

TARN

Tarn is a disciple of Megatronus, dedicated, devout, and deadly. While his true age is unknown, he is speculated to have been forged several millennia before the Great Cybertronian Revolution broke out. Sworn to serve Megatronus for eternity, Tarn joined the Decepticons as a means to an end, seeking to restore Megatronus into a new body, hosting the spirit of the fallen prime in the meantime. Due to sharing a mind with Megatronus, Tarn is incredibly unstable, gaining infamy for horrific violence and effectively brutal tactics, which earned him a high ranking among the Decepticons. Feared by all three factions, Tarn is a force to be reckoned with.
