#sideswipe
Cri
I remember reading all hail Megatron and thought Sunstreaker died lmao. It was such a sad end for him I thought but when I read more about him and sideswipe…damn
I NEED to draw him more. And sideswipe of course…IDW Lamborghini twins deserve better
Actually a lot of transformers deserve better but this is just…typical IDW angst lol.
I was listening to ‘Look Away’ by The Dear Hunter (yes inspired by warrior cats don’t @ me) and it reminded me of Sunstreaker- don’t ask how, it just sorta happened
Actually 'Jimmy, he whispers’ by Manchester Ochestra (yes inspired by warrior cats too >:v) kinda fits them too, a bit of a stretch with the lyrics but still…go listen to those songs ️️
@best–strategist I’ll add eyes one day. For now, happy Halloween!
I swear it would have been a lot better had I not learned last moment your transform or treater hadn’t contacted you yet. But hey for like four ish hours of work it wasn’t bad.
Title: Tricks and Twins
Universe: Generation One (G1)
Rating: Mature
- Rating is more of a soft M due to brief suggestive imagery and brief gore/horror imagery, don’t get too excited ^^;
Warnings: Gore/horror imagery, innuendo/suggestive imagery
Relationships: Sunstreaker/Jazz, Sideswipe/Skywarp/Thundercracker+Starscream, Skywarp/Thundercracker/Starscream
Characters: Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Jazz, Skywarp, Thundercracker, Starscream, small-part ensemble characters
Summary: Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are each nursing some new crushes and developments, but neither is exactly what the other would consider a good choice.
Notes: For Bibi (@dontcrime) as their @transform-or-treat Halloween gift exchange. This uses two of the prompt ideas, when I read them they just seemed to go really well together!
(Also notes, oh my god why doesn’t Tumblr retain formatting in a copy/paste. This would have been up so much faster, sorry!)
Because what else would I be up to currently?
I’m just gonna leave these here with no context…
Time for the third instalment of the Truth on Micron Legend! Here we take a look at the B Team. A majority of these episodes are still very good, some almost good enough to make the cut for an A Team level episode. The most prolific directors in this field is Masayuki Motsumoto, having directed Confrontation,Swoop,Vacation, Tactician, Detection, Past Part 1, Threaten, Puppet and Alliance. A rather mixed bag here. All these episodes feature some great animation as well as some that is less than stellar and the ratio is often very different. Past, Part 1 would probably be the most consistent outing.
It’s a very strong episode, but nothing that is truly amazing.
Many other episodes feature small amounts of really strong animation but overall are very average. I’ve mentioned before that it’s likely that Hidehito Ueda contributed many small sequences throughout the series, but here I don’t think that’s the case for the most part.
Masayuki’s quality animation is very stylised. It’s not like anything we’ve looked at before. Very harsh lines and shadows.
Alliance is probably the poorest episode, featuring many colouring errors (some which were not even present in the unfinished version!), scale problems, and overall poor animation. However, it does feature Unicron’s transformation, which is fantastic sequence, so I guess that’s where the budget on that episode was funnelled.
Next up is Shigeki Hatayama, who directed such episodes as Comrade, Underground, Credulous, Reinforcement, Awakening and Sacrifice. Shigeki episodes are typified by being very strong overall, but often featuring small amounts of very poor, off model animation.
Underground being the exception, which is overall a pretty poor outing.
Ken'ichi Ishikura directed the episodes Rescue, Uprising and Union. These three episodes have a huge disparity in quality. Rescue is pretty average with some very strong moments here and there. Union is almost good enough to be a A quality episode, though I do think significant amounts of this episode were directed by the mysterious director who worked on the revised animation in the series. Uprising, on the other hand is one of the poorest episodes in the whole series.
Lots of off model drawings, a huge lack of shading and detail.
It’s an unfortunate beginning to the last arc of the series, which after this, would be a very strong batch of episodes.
Next we have a group of directors who each appeared only once in the series. Ryo Motohira who directed Carnival, Shigeki Awai who directed Ruin and Mihiro Yamaguchi who directed Mars. All of these episodes are pretty strong and consistent. Carnival features a lot of nice, dynamic animation.Ruin has a beautiful underwater colour palate.Mars is pretty consistent but does feature some weird moments here and there.
Finally there’s time to mention Satoru Kusuda, who only seemed to work as a co-director on episodes such as Underground,Credulous, Conspiracy and Tactician. Because of this, it’s really hard to determine what effect Satoru had on the animation in these episodes.
So that’s the B Team. Average, gets the job done but nothing really amazing. Next time it’s the C Team, who barely make the cut for watchable episodes.

Operation: Damn, He’s Good
TFNation is proud to present another voice acting guest for the 2018 edition, and we roll over to the live-action movie universe and the media that spun out of the Paramount series. Join us in giving a warm welcome to voice actor André Sogliuzzo!
Lending his talents to the character of Sideswipe in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Sogliuzzo has also been behind the scenes for the well-received video game Transformers: Devastation, portraying the likes of Scavenger, Thundercracker, and one of the unnamed Seekers found in the game. Most recently, he has featured in the animated series Robots in Disguise, as the voice of Scavenger Clawtrap.
You may also recognise him from a number of other video game franchises, such as Skyrim, Everquest II, and Scarface: The World is Yours. For fans and followers of animated series and cartoons, you will have found Sogliuzzo in G.I. Joe: Renegades (as Major Bludd), Avatar: The Last Airbender (as Hakoda and King Bumi), Courage the Cowardly Dog, the Stuart Little TV series, and will soon be heard in the upcoming Spyro ReignitedTrilogy.
He has also been a regular actor for the Star Wars franchise, appearing as various characters in the Knights of the Old Republic games, and as Commander Cody (and others) in the version of the Star Wars: Clone Wars series directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, plus a number of voices in the recently concluded Star Wars: Rebels.
André Sogliuzzo will be present for all of the TFNation 2018 weekend, signing autographs, available for photo opportunities, and ready to meet fans of Transformers, voice acting, his work, and the franchises he’s been a part of!
