a simple comic from miles edgeworth’s point of view as he talks about franziska. the text reads “my memories of you are filled with competition. competing for the best marks, the perfect investigation, von karma’s approval.” the images show franziska alone, franziska and miles facing each other with a silhouette of franziska’s younger self behind her. images of their tests, noting that franziska’s score is lower than miles’, as well as an image of the body outlines in the crime scene from ace attorney investigations 1-4, and finally an image of young miles and franziska looking down solemnly with an outline of manfred von karma looming behind them.

the final image is a large black background with a small, current day miles and franziska standing in the distance, talking to each other pleasantly. their shadows that extend toward the viewer are outlines of their younger selves, facing away from each other, showing contrast to how distant they were at a young age and how far they’ve come. the text reads “i’m grateful for the memories i have of you, no matter how strained they are, because every memory of you is a memory of my family.”
