It’s been a long time since I’ve done a Big Bang, and I’m not sure if I really have the spoons for one atm but….. just in case.

I also started posting edited chapters on AO3

I know what comes next but I don’t know how to get there! Whooooo writing is hard

It was an unusual summons, to say the least. No ongoing attack, no urgency in Ladybug’s voice or movement. Just a sudden appearance, in the rare quiet moments between fencing practice and her mother arriving to fetch her.

Ladybug handed Kagami Longg’s choker in a small, unassuming wood box, like the kind one might buy at a craft store.

“A meeting, tomorrow night,” Ladybug said. “I’m sorry for the short notice, but it’s hard to find you alone with your schedule.”

“That’s alright, Ladybug,” Kagami said. She slipped the box into her bag, tucking it under her fencing clothes. “May I ask why you are giving me the Miraculous now?”

“It would be chaos if I tried to find everyone in one day. I’m… planning ahead, for once.”

Everyone. A large meeting of the Miraculous users, then. Extremely unusual.

“What is this meeting for?”

Ladybug shook her head, her pigtails bouncing as she did. “Longg will give you directions. Will you be able to get out of your house by 23:00 tomorrow night?”

“I can manage it,” Kagami said.

“Good. I’m trusting you not to activate your powers before then unless you are under attack. Longg will stay hidden in your stuff if you choose to wear the choker early.”

“And I will return the Miraculous to you when we are finished.”

Ladybug smiled, giving her a quick salute and “Bug out!” as she disappeared.

Longg didn’t know much.

“It’s not Ladybug’s meeting,” she said, as she pushed the button for Kagami’s electric toothbrush over and over again, marveling at it. “From what I understand, Chat Noir asked her to gather the heroes of her choosing. I think it’s the first time so many of us have been out at once in centuries.”

“It’s very strange,” said Kagami. She had worked with Chat Noir many times by now, but the nature of the heroes’ interactions meant most of them didn’t know each other all that well. It seemed to her out of character for Chat Noir to be so serious, and it was definitely unheard of for Ladybug to give out the Miraculous long term, even if it was just overnight. “Could he have been given some kind of warning? There are time manipulation powers within the Miraculous, correct?”

“That’s certainly possible,” said Longg. “But if Sass and Fluff have felt anything, they haven’t shared.”

It was strange, having company overnight. Longg was delighted to read manga over Kagami’s shoulder late into the night, and discussed it with her in the morning. She spent the day in Kagami’s pocket, and the weight was comforting, reassuring that if something went wrong, they could do something about it.

Nonetheless, the day was agonizingly slow. Many of the recent days had been, with one of her only friends in Paris missing, but the anticipation of the meeting had Kagami on edge. Could it be some sort of trap? Could there be a false Ladybug out, getting all the Miraculous in one place for Shadowmoth to steal at once? Or, maybe worse, a false Chat Noir, manipulating the real Ladybug to do the same?

At 23:00, Ryuko disappeared out Kagami’s window, following the directions Longg had told her.

It was fairly far, near the border of the city, an area she’d never been to before. She dropped down to the street, and was startled when someone touched her shoulder.

“Sorry!” the woman said, raising her hands.

Ryuko squinted. She seemed familiar, though perhaps the darkness made the colors look off.

“Rena Rouge?”

“Rena Furtive, at the moment,” Rena said with a wink. She spun around, showing off the changes to her costume, which was indeed a gradient of blues instead of the usual fox orange-red. “I let Ladybug know you’re here already. Come on, this way.”

Rena led her another couple of blocks, away from the buildings, then nudged a manhole cover up with her foot.

Ryuko wrinkled her nose.

“I know,” Rena said, apologetically. “But it’s private. It doesn’t smell too bad, I promise.”

They jumped down, boots splashing in the water, and Rena pointed down a tunnel. “Keep going that way. It gets a little claustrophobic for a sec, but then there’s a big intersection with a lot of room. That’s where we’re meeting. We’re still waiting on a couple of people.”

Rena climbed back up the ladder, sliding the cover back into place. Ryuko waited for her eyes to adjust to the darkness. Even aided by the magic Longg granted to her eyes, she had to resist the urge to light her way. The yellow emergency lights on the walls barely illuminated anything.

One hand on the wall, she followed the directions. ‘A little claustrophobic’ apparently referred to a curved section with no light whatsoever, the ceiling low enough that she considered crawling.

But it opened onto familiar territory.

There were quite a few of Ladybug’s team present. The area had scattered wooden and plastic boxes on the ground, serving as chairs in the unusual space. Pigella waved at her from where she was sitting with Vesperia and Pegasus. Viperion was in the corner, drumming absently on his seat, and Chat Noir lounged across two crates behind him, staring at the ceiling.

Ladybug herself was leaning against a wall, eyes on her communicator. She looked up as Ryuko entered.

“Have a seat,” she said. “We’re just waiting on a few more.”

Carapace arrived about ten minutes later, with King Monkey behind him. They came through a different passage than Ryuko had. Carapace immediately looked at Chat and Ladybug, nodding. “That’s it on my end.”

Another five minutes, and Purple Tigress came through Ryuko’s route with Rena Furtive, wiping the water from their knees while grimacing at each other. They must have staggered the timing of the invitations and had two separate entrances, to prevent any of them encountering each other as civilians.

With Rena and Tigress present, Ladybug put her communicator away. What little conversation there had been stopped, and all eyes were on her.

“Alright,” Ladybug said, closing her eyes and shaking her hands as if they were cramped. “Everyone, let’s gather around the middle here. There’s no akuma attack right now, so none of you should be in danger of changing back soon. We have all night, if we need it.”

“What is all this about, Ladybug?” Vesperia asked, dragging her box behind her to sit closer.

The others were largely doing the same, arranging in a messy semi-circle. Viperion lingered towards the back, but still in front of Chat Noir, who sat with his shoulders tense, silently watching them all. Ryuko did the same, on the other side. She would prefer to stand, really, but she settled on a crate, her back to one of the exits. Carapace sat next to Rena Furtive, both of them glancing occasionally at Chat Noir. To their right was Pegasus, then Pigella, who was leaning somewhat far into Purple Tigress’ space, who in turn looked conflicted whether to call her out on it. King Monkey finished off the other end, just to the side and front of Ryuko.

“It’s not really my place to say,” Ladybug said. She paced slightly across the ‘stage’, coming to a stop towards the center and looking at the gathered heroes. “I asked you all to come because you all have proven yourself time and time again as holders of the Miraculous. While there are a couple of us not here- all people who I would trust with my life- most of us here tonight have more experience, and a known history of responsibility with the Miraculous. If you think you’re an exception to this, that you don’t have the experience that some of us do, please know that you were specifically requested to be here, because of our belief in your abilities and trustworthiness.”

She took a breath, looking around at each one of them. Nobody spoke up, simply waiting for her to continue.

“It goes without saying, but after tonight especially, please do not discuss anything talked about here tonight with anyone outside of this room. Sewer. This room in a sewer.”

Ryuko felt her face quirk into a slight smile. Speeches were never Ladybug’s favorite thing to do.

“That said, I don’t really know why we’re meeting her tonight,” said Ladybug. She looked across at Chat Noir, still tense on his crate, ears flat against his head. “Chat Noir asked me to bring us all together. He left most of it to me, the day, time, and location; telling me to choose people I trust, though he did ask for some of you specifically. So, um, if you’re ready, Chat. I’ll turn it over to you.”

Ladybug walked to the end of the semi-circle, pulling up a box to sit on next to King Monkey and Ryuko. Chat stood from his own box, taking a deep breath and walking past Viperion to take Ladybug’s place.

Ladybug was intensely fidgeting with her fingers. Carapace looked suddenly upset, and Rena confused, and Ryuko wondered if Ladybug had told them about this beforehand. But oddly, Viperion had made a sharp inhale through his nose, his hand poised over his bracelet, as if ready to activate his power at any moment.

Chat Noir seemed to have also noticed.

“First of all,” he said, rocking back on his heels with his hands behind his back, “I’m not going to do something stupid like renounce my Miraculous or reveal my identity. So you can hold off on the Second Chance, snake-boy.”

There was a slight giggle among the group, but Chat’s directness was effective. Ladybug almost instantly relaxed, the tension draining from her body all at once, and Ryuko wondered what he might have done to scare her in the past to garner such a reaction. Viperion still had a furrowed brow, but he moved his hand from his wrist and sat back. Carapace looked relieved as Rena gently rubbed his hand.

“This meeting is really a kind of… update, on things that have been going on,” Chat continued. “There’s some stuff that everyone here should know, and I didn’t want to have to repeat it over and over. My lady was very kind in obliging me, gathering you all here together.”

He shuffled a little, straightening his back and looking at each of them. He seemed to linger slightly on Viperion, as if passing a silent message between them.

He shut his eyes, took a breath, and opened them again. “First bit of news: I know where Adrien Agreste is.”

There was an immediate reaction. Someone, maybe many people, shouted, Ryuko unsure if she was among them. She was on her feet without remembering that she’d stood. Ladybug was also up, her legs shaking slightly, eyes wide, as shocked as the rest of them.

The exclamations and muttering slowly died down, Chat Noir calmly waiting in the middle of it. He’d unhooked his staff at some point, and was idly twirling it behind his back.

“Chaton,” Ladybug said, and the others quieted, returning to their seats and watching her. “Chaton, since when? How?”

Chat smiled. “I’m getting to that.” He looked at the group again. “I’m going to start by saying that he’s safe and unharmed. He’s staying with people I trust. I am not telling you where or who with, by his request. All of this is to stay between us.”

Some of them fidgeted. Vesperia’s hands were over her mouth, her elbows on her knees, staring forward with a conflicted look. Purple Tigress was fiddling with her hair, pensive. Carapace looked about ready to punch someone, probably Chat.

“Adrien asked me to help him disappear,” Chat continued. “He felt that he was in danger, staying at home, and that telling anyone could put them in danger as well. I, of course, obliged, and over the course of the week, got him to safety. He’s moved around a bit, to avoid recognition and stuff, but he’s fine, and in a safe location, thanks to yours truly.”

“You knew this whole time?” Carapace said. “And you didn’t tell anyone? Not even Ladybug?”

Chat Noir’s ears drooped slightly. He looked apologetically between both Ladybug and Carapace. “I didn’t tell anybody until Adrien was ready,” he said. “I’m sorry for not saying anything, but…”

“No, you did the right thing, Chat.” Ladybug sat down on her box, her hands clasped together. “You said that he thought he was in danger.”

“Yeah,” Chat Noir said. He scratched the back of his head before twirling his staff, steeling himself, and bringing everyone’s attention back to him. “That brings us to the second, and honestly a bit more relevant bit of news.”

He planted the end of his staff on the ground, looking far more serious than Ryuko had ever seen him outside of battle.

“Adrien needed to leave his home for his own safety, because he discovered that his father is Shadowmoth.”

This time, his announcement was met with utter silence.

Ryuko’s mind was racing. She knew Adrien had been having difficulty with his father since his mother died, and Chat’s first announcement had thrown images of terrible neglect and bursts of anger at Adrien’s expense, like a twisted, intense version of her own issues with her mother, but the second announcement drew a blank.

“That’s impossible,” Ladybug said. “We suspected him before and ruled him out. He- he’s been akumatized before!”

“How did Adrien find out?” Viperion’s voice was soft but overflowing with anger.

Chat glanced at him, then turned his attention back to the group as a whole.

“Recently, there was a large runway event that Adrien attended with his father, a big public spectacle. An akuma, made of one of the designers whose pieces had been rejected, appeared and terrorized the show. It was defeated, of course, with the help of myself, Ladybug, and the lovely Miss Ryuko.”

He nodded at her, and she nodded back. The attack had been unexpected, and Kagami had been astonished to see Chat Noir arrive so quickly, Ladybug not far behind. Kagami was with Adrien in the audience, the two of them seated in commiseration between her mother and his father’s assistant, Chloe pouting a few seats over and leaning over to try and steal Adrien’s attention with snide comments about the models. She’d lost track of all of them in the attack, though she remembered Adrien helping Nathalie limp to shelter as they scattered. Kagami had been preoccupied looking for Ladybug, excited for the potential to use her powers again.

They had reconvened briefly after the akuma was defeated, but Kagami was dragged off by her mother, Adrien forced to stay as his father and the other fashion moguls tried to bring order to and continue the show.

“It was after the attack was over,” Chat Noir continued, his voice oddly subdued. “Ladybug had fixed everything, and the three of us were long gone. Adrien went to the dressing room after his father, only to see him disappear into nothing as Shadowmoth snapped his fingers. The Gabriel Agreste on stage, announcing the designs, was a sentimonster copy. Shadowmoth detransformed.”

The silence was heavy.

Chat was staring at the ground by the time he finished, looking exhausted and angry. Ryuko felt much the same. He had been right there, under their noses as they struggled with his akuma. If they had stuck around, or come back after recharging, maybe they could have been with Adrien, maybe they would have seen Shadowmoth themselves, been able to bring him down for good.

“Why did you sit on this, Chat Noir?”

It was Rena Furtive who spoke up, tapping her chin thoughtfully. “Adrien’s been missing for two weeks now, and you said you started helping him a week before that. Keeping a victim safe at his request is one thing, but if you had information about Shadowmoth, you should have told Ladybug right away.”

Chat looked away. “I don’t think Adrien was ready to tell anyone until today,” he said. “I think… he knew he had to get away, but he needed time to process.”

The room fell quiet again.

“I don’t blame him,” Purple Tigress muttered. “If I found out a family member was a supervillain…” She shook her head. “We’re lucky he wasn’t akumatized himself.”

Chat Noir looked horrified, as if the idea hadn’t occurred to him. “He- to his own son?”

“I wouldn’t put it past him,” Carapace said with a scowl. “We should’ve got Adrien out of there way sooner, even without knowing about Shadowmoth.”

“But we’re gonna bring him down now!” King Monkey spoke up for the first time that night, punching his fist into his palm. “We got him cornered! And he doesn’t even know it!”

“We need a plan first,” Pegasus said, leaning forward to smile over at him. “But I’m ready to take him down once we have one.”

Ladybug stood, her box scratching against the cement floor. The group looked up at her, chatter dying down.

“Pegasus is right. We need a plan. We know how cunning Shadowmoth can be, so we should move with caution. But we’ll strike while the iron’s hot. Ambush him while he’s still distracted with his son’s disappearance.” She looked around at the gathered heroes. They looked back, filled with adrenaline, eyes gleaming with excitement.

Chat Noir looked at her, leaning on his staff, wary.

Ladybug smiled. “However, it’s also nearly one thirty, and most if not all of us have things to do in the morning. And we’re in a sewer, in the middle of nowhere.”

She was right, and they all knew it. Ryuko was, admittedly, looking forward to a hot shower. And who knows how long it would take her to get home.

“Hold on to your Miraculous,” Ladybug continued, reading her thoughts. “I’m not going to make everyone figure out how to get home without superpowers in the middle of the night. The same rules apply tonight as before. I’ll contact each of you later with more information and to collect your Miraculous.”

They climbed out of the sewer in a group, after Rena Furtive took a quick recon trip ahead to make sure the coast was clear. They left in staggered pairs, organized in some unknown pattern by Ladybug, to ensure secrecy.

“And make sure to feed your kwami!” Ladybug shouted after the first pair started off. “Or they’ll take whatever they want without asking!”

Pegasus and King Monkey waved back in confirmation.

Viperion hugged Chat Noir hard, startling him, before leaving with Pigella.

Carapace and Rena Furtive left together, unhurried, after a quick talk with Ladybug.

Vesperia went with Purple Tigress, Ryuko supposed to follow just behind, since there was an odd number total.

She lingered briefly, pretending to look at her communicator for directions.

“Thank you for doing this, Chat Noir,” Ladybug said quietly. The two of them had retired to a rooftop, their legs dangling over the side. “I’m sorry you were doing it by yourself for so long.”

“I had a bit of help, Bugaboo.”

“I mean it, Chat. Thank you for helping Adrien. I can’t begin to imagine what this has been like for him.”

Chat didn’t answer.

“I still can’t believe it,” Ladybug went on. “Can you believe… I just spoke to the bastard the other day. He seemed… so sad and lonely, so worried. He complimented me on saving the city!” She kicked the side of the building in anger. “I can’t believe I believed him.”

“Even awful people aren’t all bad,” Chat said quietly. “Maybe he really is worried about his son.”

“Maybe,” said Ladybug, the scowl audible in her voice. “We can only hope, I suppose.”

Ryuko left them, hopping from rooftop to rooftop until the surroundings became familiar, riding the rest of the way as a gust of wind, and slipped in through her bedroom window.

I just want to read some innocent Marichat

Wtf is wrong with you guys?! I just came out to have a good time to read something beautiful and pure but is smut all you guys think about lmao?

I’m not judging you if you do, but I don’t like fannon Marichat if I’m being honest & it makes me sad that I can’t find anything clean these days for my marichat needs :( I am just not a big fan of graphics and super detailed intimacy.

I am just wondering if I am the only one? Ik marichat is the ship known for the most sin in the love square, but if any of you know some clean fanfics that are really good on Wattpad (that’s where the screenshot was taken) please let me know :)

How To Survive The Hiatus

Here’s what to do to make these empty months pass in a healthyway:

-pick 3 animated (or not) series

-watch one episode of the one you chose first

-when you’ve finished, start the other one

For example let’s say the series you have picked have 10 episodes each season and 4 seasons in total (i’m just pretending that you chose an animated serie)

You will pass the first 4 months watching other series and maybe even joining their fandom, trying new things is always good!

Other months, you will watch and episode of Miraculous Ladybug every day and read a fanfic every week.

When you finish watching them, there will be only two and a half months till season 4

That’s approximately when summer holiday starts

Trust me, time flies very fast in summer :)

Good luck! I will do this myself too! Also here are a few suggestions for animated series:

•She-ra

•The Dragon Prince

•Avatar

You can find them all in Netflix.

Have a good day :))

NEW DAMINETTE (Robinette) FIC

Gotham Love Square

Summary:
Too bad her dreams had no chance to become real, because she managed to ruin her relationship with a guy before she even got to really know him.

Of course, her inflamed libido was not the main problem in this situation. More importantly, it would be harder to get Robin to train her now…

If only she could start all over again, she thought with a sigh.

And while using Fluff to do this might not have been considered a personal goal, the occasion seemed too small to her for the potential consequences that timeline games could bring.

Little did Marinette know that the opportunity to start all over would soon be presented to her without using the Miraculous of Time.
~
He wasn’t one of those who think in the subjunctive mood or want to turn back time, but if today it was proposed to Damian, so that he could start their acquaintance from the beginning, perhaps he would make an exception for her.

Marinette, who was sitting across the aisle from him, seemed to feel his eyes on her and turned her head towards Damian, and he immediately turned away, feigning stern detachment.

He didn’t know that the opportunity to start all over again would be given to him without any need to turn back time.

In The Right Bed!
AdriCass

Summary:

Cass woke up to find a young blond man in her bed, sleeping soundly.

She sat up in bed and looked at him with surprise, not feeling any fear or even anxiety though.

There was no way this man could be a danger to her. He was clearly not armed, and besides, she had already seen at least fifteen options for how she could kill him in the event of his surprise attack, depending on What type of martial art he mastered…

Why the authors of Miraculous Ladybug hate Felix so much

It’s obvious that Felix is important — and they can’t deny it, and couldn’t even resist making him to be the reason of a big Ladybug’s failure in season 4 finals. And they left him in that scene looking at the burning Paris side by side with her anyway (the scene from PV-trailer, where Ladybug looks at the burning city together with Felix-Chat Noir).

Funny dynamics, isn’t it?

But why? Couldn’t they use Lila as a villain-type role? Or even Chloe?

And why did they even brought Felix back after saying that he won’t appear in the show?

On my opinion, the answer is purely psychological.

Felix is like a first born son to show, that they had to give away and someone else raised him…) — and that is why we often see Felix as an older sibling in fanfictions — because the fans intuitively feel his status.

Felix is more mature in comparison to a playful and sheltered Adrien, who of course took some hardness from his father (that we saw for example when he made Lila get Mari back to school and some other moments), but still much softer then Felix.

Adrien has his feminine side a little too developed sometimes. That’s how he gives the ruling role to Ladybug, for instance, although they start out as equal partners. And even when she becomes a Guardian, Chat Noir whines and suffers from her secrets instead of making a firm stand.

But also being so soft as Adrien! They even made him a princess to be saved! Come on! Is this what you expect from the leading male character?

So while Adrien is nice and all, he can never reach Felix’s potential of freedom and inner strength (not to be confused with the bravery, ‘cause that he has).

I think the authors of the show hate Felix for this, for being strong, self-sufficient, extremely smart, playful in his own way, but strict at the same time, taking from life what he wants and making decisions that he considers necessary. And with all that inner depth and outer freedom they had to refuse him. Give him up for sweet Adrien.

So now that they were aloud to bring him back to the show, they can’t stand but show his strength and importance, even making him an antihero (not the villain, btw, ‘cause he didn’t actually hurt anyone directly, but left to the hero’s fight their own fights, and played on their weaknesses in order to get what he wants.

After all — nobody asked Ladybug to give him that miraculous.

Felix also has a great relationship with his mother, which makes him potentially much more adequate in building relationships with a girl, while Adrien’s position would be distorted by rigidity (taken from his father) on the one hand and infantilism on the other.

To naive children for whom this show is made, Adrinette couple seems perfect, but in practice the two would not last long together. At the same time Felix would found the way to conquer Mari if he wanted to and found how to build a deep relationship. And with passion everything would be good as well.

That’s why I love to write Canon Felinette much more then even PV. I mean, PV are sweet and classic, but Canon Felix, who returned to the show as an antihero has just SO MUCH MORE potential.

I can see him as a strong man next to Marinette, with this girl changing the direction of his actions with her warm heart, and he can be that internally strong support that she really needs. Because while Adrien-Chat says the encouraging words based by his belief he n good, Felix would make sure that the good would happen, no matters the ways of reaching it.

He also wouldn’t stop by her rejections like Adrien did if he fell for any of Mari’s guises — I’d rather expect him to trick her into falling in love with him — until it wouldn’t be important why and how their romance started.

Because we saw that he is ready to play till the end to reach his goal, and not only with honest and direct methods that both Marinette and Adrien mostly use.

And Mari herself — who can still phones and dress funny to sneak to Adrien’s house — much closer to Felix’s way of acting, so honestly — they would understand each other much better then the “go the higher road” boy — once they would have a common goal.

So I see I went a little further then just the “why the MLB-authors hate Felix” topic, but it’s all about the same. Felix has a strong position to be at the leading male role in this show, and they feel it, and they’ll use him as such, even if they will have to turn him to the other side of the barricades.

Just because they cant let him go from their mind.

Drama of life)

I prefer Felinette over Adrinette, because I feel like Marinette and Felix are more like equals than Marinette and Adrien. Adrien is attracted to strong, determined people (like LB and Kagami), because he’s not able to stand up against his dad. I don’t blame him, it’s not easy to stand up to your abuser, especially since it’s his dad and he wants to believe, that he loves him. But yes, even though he likes to think of him as Chat as some knight, he’s more like a damsel in distress.

That’s ok, I actually think the “Boys can be princesses in need of saving, too” thing good. Let him be in need of a saviour, that’s ok. But that also means that any romantic relationship he gets into (while beeing in need of saving) is doomed or will have at least major problems down the line (and I don’t trust Miraculous to deal with them appropriately). There would be a power imbalance and that can’t be a good foundation for any kind of happy long term relationship.

Felix on the other hand doesn’t sit around to wait for a hero to save him. He’s ready to make a deal with the devil if that’s what it takes. He and Marinette compliment each other, their strengths and weaknesses balance each other out. She has a strong moral compass and can set the goal and device a plan and he can make sure the plan goes through, maybe by using his own methods in some sort of grey area (well, as long as the goal is reached … You know )

I haven’t seen the finale, I just sort of know what happens, so I’m not sure if it’s just LB again or if Marinette also has some interactions with Felix, but there is a reason why Marinette and Felix are always bickering like an old married couple in fanfictions (I think I even once read one which wasn’t Felinette and they were still bickering): They have that energy and that’s so much more compelling than the way Marinette is constantly forced to stammer and stumble when interacting with Adrien.

And this is why the writers hate Felix: He’s a threat to Adrien’s status as male lead and as “perfect”. I somewhere read that Adrien is meant to be “perfect” and that “the world has to change, not Adrien”. Huh. Well, keep your perfect little pretty boy, I’ll prefer the mischievous gremlin any day. Felix is not “perfect” and he doesn’t need to be to be a much more interesting character than Adrien and that’s why he’s a threat. Well, I’m not even sure all the writers hate him, could just be one person ().

Adrinette is a teenage romance that probably wouldn’t last and might even end in a nasty breakup, but Felinette is a power couple. They challenge each other but they could also work together - and I still think they might work together with Nino and then share custody over Adrien.

Felix, sighing: You’re spoiling him, Mari.

Marinette, defensive: I’m not!

Adrien, beaming with a pastry in hand: Yeah, she is!

Always so good to have a conversation with you

I think the MLB main fandom also have reasons to hate Felix)

It’s like that…

MLB 10-14 fandom: Felix? Faugh! He is bad boy!

MLB 15-17 fandom: Felix? Well, he is kind of smart and even cool, but he is a villain, so…

MLB 18-21 fandom: Felix? He is hot! He could definitely shake it all more, if they returned him to the show

MLB 20-30 fandom: Felix? Obviously he is the only clearly thinking there. I’m not even sure Marinette deserves him, but if she gets her head out if her butt, it could work.

MLB 30+ fandom: Adrien? Who is Adrien? Ohh, right, it’t Felix’s baby-brother who is still punished in his room while the big boy making kids with Marinette!..

Sorry-not-sorry?)))

Awww, thanks! I’m always happy to answer with my weird brain ramblings ☺️

He’s moraly ambiguous in the best case, there can be an argument made that he’s a villain or at least an antagonist. But Felix is without question the best at doing so. He had a lot more impact and a lot less opportunity to do so than any other character. Even Marinette, who is forced to endure some kind of groundhog day hell. Felix brings change. Just imagine what he and Mari could do if they worked together!

And yes, many fans don’t like him, that’s kinda the job of a villain/antagonist. But if it’s a good villain, you love to hate them. Chloe, Lila? They are teenager who do what Gabriel makes them do, if anything they need a set of responsible parents. Nathalie is a grown woman and still helps her boss to fight kids in colourful animal costumes, because of “love”. I want to shake her and ask her what went wrong in her childhood. And Gabriel? The guy who is so incapable of functioning as a human being that he can’t mourn his wife like a person? Instead he has this whole creepy basement/lair thingy? He literally has a body in his basement.

I mean, all the adults in this show are an embarrassment, but as the main villain he is extra embarrassing.

So, what I actually wanted to say: Not only as an alternative lead, but also as a villain Felix is a better character than the ones occupying those roles now.

Ohh, this part about embarrassing adults was amazing

Felix would make a perfect villain indeed, if he wanted. But the thing is that his goals personal and clear to him. And with all the capacity for emotions that we saw in the show, he appears very and very clear-minded. So, to really become a villain he must be at least a little bit mad)) which he is not.

And self-confidant, because he has a living mother again.

So I guess he wouldn’t spend years trying to gain power over people, enslave them, conquer the world, or whatever the villains are doing. It would just be boring for him, since he personally is much more interesting to himself.

So if Marinette would actually grow up — and she has a big potential to her character as well — I agree that this would be a great power couple, because she could bring his attention to right things (as a smart woman does) and he would reach any goal for her (as a strong man does).

Chapter 1 (Ao3)-18+ content in the full chapter

Summary:

Too bad her dreams had no chance to become real, because she managed to ruin her relationship with a guy before she even got to really know him.

BonusAdriCasschapter to In The Wrong Bed?

Cass woke up to find a young blond man in her bed, sleeping soundly.

She sat up in bed and looked at him with surprise, not feeling any fear or even anxiety though.

There was no way this man could be a danger to her. He was clearly not armed, and besides, she had already seen at least fifteen options for how she could kill him in the event of his surprise attack, depending on What type of martial art he mastered.

Therefore, Cassandra calmly and carefully studied his face.

No, this man could not be a sent assassin.

Of course, in a dream, everyone may seem serene, but she could strongly suggest that this guy did not harm anyone in his life.

Meanwhile, the blond stretched sweetly, opened his eyes, and sat up. He slowly looked around the room, frowning in bewilderment, then his gaze settled on Cass’s face.

She could read his mixed feelings from his face and tense body.

Alertness. By which she could understand that he had to regularly face danger and he expected that the new situation might contain a threat.

Perplexity. He clearly didn’t know where and why he was, so he did not come here with the intent to somehow harm her.

Fear. He thought that he was kidnapped and even assumed that she was his kidnapper. She could say that this guy clearly got into situations where his freedom was limited before.

Readiness. He was bold and determined, and could charge into battle, but Cass saw that he would not defend himself without her direct attack and was rather trying to figure out if she was a danger to others, not to him.

Interest. She could say with confidence that the guy was open to new things and met changes with curiosity, he peered into her features, seeing in her… beauty?

Excitement. He was pleasantly impressed by her appearance and found her attractive, and the girl could tell that the longer he looked at her, the more this emotion crowded out the rest.

Their silent dialogue continued for several minutes, then Cass saw the guy relax a little, probably not finding enough threat in her. She couldn’t blame him for this mistake, it was common to many…

The boy’s gaze slid down her face and settled on her lips.

Cassandra saw his body tense up again, but this tension was of a completely different nature.

The blond swallowed and licked his lips.

She knew for sure that at that moment he didn’t remember any possible danger and that he might have been kidnapped. He imagined what it would feel like to be kissed by her, and it… turned him on.

The boy looked up at her, and with an embarrassed smile, rubbed his neck with his palm from behind, trying to hide his excitement and desire to kiss her from Cass.

The boy started to say something in an unknown language, but Cass could see he was still thinking about kissing her, as he swallowed and took another quick look at her lips again.

The girl shook her head to indicate that she didn’t understand him.

“English?” He asked.

She nodded.

“I… uhh… I’m not sure what is going on here, and where the ‘here’ is, but…” He swallowed again and stopped talking, following her gaze.

Cass was staring at his lips.

She felt his anticipation of the kiss so vividly that now this anticipation haunted her.

In addition, this boy seemed so unusual and… interesting…

He seemed to her a brave and determined man and a small defenseless boy at the same time. She could read deep reflections of the sage and childish playfulness.

Studying him, Cass immediately felt the desire to feel his protection and protect him herself from any injustice that — she could definitely see it — he clearly met in life.

He seemed so… so… perfect.

Cassandra looked up at him.

“Kiss me.” She said quietly.

The boy parted his lips, slightly drawing in air and looked at her with the disbelieving eyes of a homeless kitten. Then he timidly leaned over to her lips and froze for another moment just next to Cass’s face, as if expecting for her to change her mind.

This gesture clearly read previous rejections and lack of love and warmth in his life — as if this boy was not sure that he had the right to be accepted by someone just like that, only for existing in the world. She could tell that he was used to fulfilling many other people’s demands in an attempt to earn acceptance and love.

Finally he closed his eyes and touched her lips with his, closing the last distance between them.

Cass readily accepted his timid kiss, anticipating his movements and encouraging him. Their lips moved slowly and carefully, studying each other.

The girl felt that he was afraid to scare her, and afraid that she would drive him away at the same time.

Yes, he definitely has been rejected before and didn’t receive enough love from others.

Although Cass couldn’t understand how it was possible, because by this point she could definitely tell that he was kind and gentle.

Plus, he was incredibly handsome. Such a face could easily be found on the pages of glossy magazines…

Their kiss deepened and Cass felt him excited and worried, not wanting to show her how excited he was but also not wanting to pull away from her lest she think he was rejecting her.

The girl pulled back slightly and placed her hand on his chest in red pajamas with black spots.

The guy looked at her with stunned eyes, and she understood that he was confused and overcome by a lot of doubt and embarrassment.

“I like you.” She said to show him support and calm him down. “No rush.”

The boy was looking at her with amazed eyes.

“I…” He swallowed again. “I like you too.” Then he looked around the room. “Where am I? Is this your room? Why do you speak English? Am I not in France? Did Akuma hit you too?”

“My room.” Cass said. “China.”

The boy’s eyes widened.

“Really? Did you bring me here?” Cass shook her head. “Then it WAS that Akuma. For some reason it brought me here while I was asleep. I need to contact La… my friend.”

Cass could say that he was hiding something. In addition to using a word she didn’t know, he was hiding a secret. But it wasn’t a malicious act, more like he was protecting someone or something.

Cass nodded.

“I’m Adrien.” He said, blushing slightly. “I’m sorry, I uhh… never kissed a girl without even introducing myself before.” He admitted.

“Cassandra.” She replied, giving him a soft smile. “Cass.”

“Can I…” He looked down at her mouth and licked his lips once more. “Can I kiss you again?”

Cass nodded.

His next kiss was more confident, but she was aware of his doubts, hidden in the timid movements of the hands that fell lightly on her cheeks. She could feel how passionately he reacted to her kiss in his intensified breathing and increased excitement of his body.

“Wow…” The boy whispered when he pulled away a little. “You are perfect.”

Cassandra looked at him, understanding what he was talking about.

Despite the fact that she saw him for the first time, it also seemed to her that everything about this young man was right, even the contradictory nature of his doubts.

She was keenly aware of how sincerely he believed in what he said, and felt her own sympathy, which arose almost from the first moment and only intensified with each new discovery that she made about him.

However he got here, she didn’t want him to leave.

“Can I come back?..” He asked. “If I won’t get home soon, I might be in trouble, but I…” his eyes again looked at her with outcast fear. “I’d really like to get to know you better if you don’t mind.”

“Come back.” She said, giving him another supportive smile.

“I will.” He promised.

*

Adrien got out through the window to the fire escape, went up to the roof.

Luckily, Plug ended up in China with him and was only hiding at the bottom of his pajama leg, so at least he could contact Ladybug and even hope to get home in time without anyone suspecting him.

Of course, even as Adrien, it wouldn’t be his fault that Akuma hit him, but he would have to explain why he didn’t say it sooner, and his father might forbid him to leave the house at all…

Adrien transformed and tried to call Ladybug, but she didn’t pick up the phone.

‘Hey Bugaboo! I’m in China. Come to get me at my location? Thanks, buy!’ He texted his partner, and decided to make a small circle on the rooftops so that he would remember the area well and easily find the right house when he returned.

There was no doubt in his mind that he wanted to come back.

That strange Akuma that hit him yesterday…

They said something about the Garden of Eden, right?

Definitely, his awakening with a beautiful, kind, sensual girl in the same bed, who also wanted to kiss him, felt like heaven…

Does it really happen in life? — Adrien thought, jumping from roof to roof. — That you like a girl at first sight, and she doesn’t reject you, as Ladybug always did. That you have no doubts about whether you want to kiss her or you like her more as a friend, as it was with Kagami…

He was sure that he wanted to kiss this beautiful girl again and again. There was acceptance and readiness in her kisses. It seemed to Adrien that she knew every movement of his lips in advance and already responded to them even before he began to move.

She was perfect.

His staff signaled and Chat Noir accepted the call.

“Hey Chat!” His partner exclaimed excitedly.

“Hey LB! What’s up!” Chat cheered, still enjoying the delight of today’s awakening.

“Chat, are you still in China?” Ladybug asked.

“Funny story, milady,” Chat replied, a little embarrassed. He forgot that there was still one person to whom he would have to explain himself. “I woke up in the bed with… uh…”

“With someone you have never seen before!” She finished.

“How did you…” Chat said, then suddenly remembered that Ladybug had been hit by Akuma right in front of him. “Wait a minute! You were hit by that akuma too!”

So she also woke up not in her bed, and if his suspicions about the character of the akuma are correct, she woke up in bed with a guy!

Somehow, the thought didn’t disturb Adrien as much as he would have expected it. As if the kiss of a beautiful stranger, who seemed to understand him without words, cured him of the suffering of unrequited love.

He felt an unprecedented ease and confidence, as if the very existence of this girl — without any guarantees for him — was in itself a guarantee.

A guarantee that things could be different. That ideal relationship, where you are understood without words and accepted without questions, exists.

“So tell me, Bugaboo, is he better looking than I am?” Chat asked playfully.

“I’m not gonna answer that!” Ladybug exclaimed, blushing slightly. “So what do you think this akuma did to us? Just sent us around the planet to explore our Garden of Eden?”

“My guess — they are matchmaking us,” Chat said, remembering his morning that started with a kiss from a beautiful girl. “This girl, she is…”

“There is no way I can match that psycho!” Ladybug protested, interrupting him.

“‘Psycho’ you’re saying… I see…” Chat smirked at her. “So it’s definitely matchmaking akuma then…”

“Chat!” Ladybug exclaimed.

“Sorry Bugaboo!” Chat Noir laughed, and he knew well what he was talking about, given how Ladybug could rage, especially in the heat of the moment. “But let’s face it: the guy must be really something to handle you!” He said through laughing.

“Traitor!” Ladybug said, but Adrien could see that she was at war not so much with him as with her own emotions. “I’ll unite Tikki with Kaalki and come to get you. Don’t change your location.”She commanded.

“I uhh…” Chat sighed. He actually hoped to run over to Cass’s room for a goodbye kiss…

But then he would have to detransform and look for cheese somewhere, and what if Ladybug will look for him while he is in his civilian form, or even worse, she will find him!

Adrien Agreste was not the most inconspicuous Parisian resident, so if meeting him in the same area it wouldn’t be hard to guess with absolute obviousness who is hiding behind the cat’s mask…

Chat sighed.

“Sure. Waiting for you.”

Adrien knew for sure that he would return. Because today, as if for the first time in his life, he woke up in the right bed.

Nothing But The Truth

Felinette akuma shenanigans one-shot

Ao3

He jumped as fast as he could, but even his excellent martial training wasn’t enough to save her from the hit.

Felix only had time to grab Marinette in his arms, but as they fell together through the open door of the classroom, he felt a shock of energy on his body, and the next moment the door slammed shut behind them.

“Get off me! Get off me!” Marinette yelled indignantly, trying to push him away.

“You are welcome.” Felix growled, rising and offering his hand to her.

Marinette stopped yelling and looked at him slightly surprised, but took the offered hand and stood up from the floor.

She immediately went to the door and pulled the handle.

“Damn it!” The girl exclaimed and her eyes widened from the fact that she cursed out loud.

Usually she did it to herself, and outwardly behaved like a decent girl.

“Is it locked?” Felix asked, coming closer.

“It definitely is!” Marinette confirmed. “And I need to get out of here fast!”

“It might be safer to stay here until the attack is over.” Felix suggested.

“I can’t stay here!” Marinette protested. “I need to get out!”

“Do you hate me so much that you can’t even stay in one room alone with me?!” Felix asked with resentment in his voice.

It was strange. Usually he was very cold, and during their many arguments Felix looked impenetrable, as if nothing could hurt him.

“I don’t hate you.” Marinette replied, she didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, even Felix’s. But then her mouth continued speaking as if by itself. “Actually I find your company interesting and like spending time with you.”

Marinette’s eyes widened on her own words.

What did that akuma hit do to her? Made her speak nonsense?! Since when did she find his company interesting?! And what was it about spending time together? Are constant disputes considered a joint pastime?!

In fact, now that she thought about it, Marinette realized that she really enjoyed arguing with Felix. Not the fact of quarreling itself, of course, but the fact that he always found interesting arguments and very competently expressed his point of view.

This constantly challenged her, made her grow internally.

To be honest, disputes with Felix so much occupied Marinette’s head that she hardly had time even to daydream about Adrien…

During the time Felix lived in Paris and studied in her class, it seemed that they spent all their free time between lessons together, sorting things out.

Marinette shook her head, trying to get the unexpected revelations out of her head.

“I…” She wanted to lie that she didn’t mean it at all and that she didn’t like spending time with Felix, but instead her mouth spoke completely different words. “I find you extremely smart and very attractive…”

While Marinette was experiencing quiet horror from the confessions that her mouth dropped, and which were discoveries even for her, — because where has it been seen for a girl to honestly admit her feelings to herself?! — Felix, who had previously been watching her in surprise, dropped his jaw and spoke slowly.

“Did you just say that you like me?” He asked, but there was no sarcasm and mockery characteristic of him in his voice.

In fact, his voice sounded in such a way as if her words genuinely touched him.

“I… I…” Marinette wanted to deny everything, but she was beginning to understand that whatever this akuma did to her, it was very reminiscent of the case when Luka was akumatized and forced her to tell the truth.

And Marinette was afraid that if she started talking or resisting the effects of magic, she would spill even more secrets.

So instead she covered her mouth with her hand and looked at Felix with the wide eyes of a guerrilla who had been captured but was ready to fight for military secrets.

“Was it…” Felix swallowed. “Was this akuma…” He narrowed his eyes. “There is a way to find out, I was hit too.”

Felix looked around and his eyes fell on the door.

“The door is locked.” He said.

Marinette giggled and even removed her hand, so ridiculous was his obvious statement.

“I know it’s locked.” She said, “I just tried to open it myself.”

Felix turned to her with a serious look.

“Yes.” He agreed. “But I tried to pronounce the sentence. ‘The door is open.’”

Her face immediately became serious and she looked at him, realizing that everything she had said aloud in the last minutes had to be the truth, even if this truth was hidden from herself.

Marinette began to seethe with anger inside — she felt so vulnerable in front of Felix, — she practically confessed to him feelings she didn’t even realize till now she had, and that now he would laugh at her.

“Why did you even come to rescue me?!” She yelled, trying to protect herself with aggression.

“Because your safety is important to me!” He yelled back indignantly.

They both stared at each other with wide eyes.

“I… I didn’t mean to say that.” Felix said, calming his tone down.

Her safety was important for him, Marinette repeated mentally, and this thought warmed her from the inside.

“I didn’t mean to yell at you.” Marinette admitted apologetically. “I… Thank you for… trying to…”

“I wasn’t fast enough…” Felix turned away.

“You’re not a superhero to save people, Felix. she tried to console him. “You didn’t have to save me at all.”

“Of course I had to!” He objected, turning back.

“And why is that?!” Marinette raised her voice again, following his example.

“Because I’m in love with you!” Felix snapped at her. He looked like he was shocked by his own words. “That is not… that isn’t… uhh…”

“Truth?” Marinette asked with annoyance in her voice.

Did Felix really have feelings for her, and he resisted them so much that he didn’t want to accept them even when the truth poured out of him by itself?

“I thought we stated that akuma’s magic prevents us from lying.” Marinette reminded him.

“But that is not the entire truth!” Felix argued.

Marinette’s eyebrows jumped in surprise. If Felix was able to say it out loud, then he was telling the truth, he had feelings for her, but… what other part of the truth he had in mind?

“So what is it?” She smirked.

Felix crossed his arms over his chest.

“I don’t want to say it.” He admitted.

“Come on, Felix!” Curiosity was eating her alive. “What can be worse than what you already just said?”

“I’m in love with someone else too, ok?!” He snapped.

Marinette was taken aback with his words. It turned out there could actually be something worse.

“I… I couldn’t imagine you have so much… Emotions inside you.”

“Well I do!” Felix replied angrily.

It was obvious that he didn’t want to be so vulnerable in front of her and it unsettled him.

And how much did she understand him at that moment?! Not only was she now talking to a guy she liked… Okay, a guy she REALLY liked. Okay, maybe she liked him so much that she had no idea what to do with herself when said guy wasn’t around to argue with her about something so elegantly and masterfully, as no one else could!

But this guy also just said… that he loved someone else.

And he could only speak the truth.

“And who is she?” Marinette didn’t expect not her own question, nor the bitterness in her voice in which the question was asked.

“I… you’ll think I’m an idiot…” Felix said, turning away from her again.

Marinette sat down at the nearest desk and dropped her head on her hands.

“You can’t be a bigger idiot than I feel right now, so… shoot.”

“I…” Felix swallowed. “I’m in love with Ladybug.” He confessed, and started chasing back and forth through the class. “I know this sounds crazy… but when she hit me, I felt… how strong she was… I mean, on the inside, you know, not the magical power enhancement…” He trailed off and turned to her. “And you… even when I saw you on that pathetic video, I could see so much heart inside you, and… I thought I’ll understand myself better when I’m here, closer to both of you… but… it only got worse, because I realized that your inner strength is just as great, even though you usually hide it. And Ladybug… Watching her, I can see that her heart is as big as yours… It drives me crazy!.. Why can’t one rational person just decide who he likes better?! This must be easy, right? But I… I just…”

“I’m Ladybug.” Marinette was staring into Felix’s wide eyes, shocked how easily her biggest secret slipped out from her lips… “I… I… Felix, you can’t… you can’t betray my secret!… this is not fair! I was keeping it so hard!” Marinette panicked.

“You. Are. Ladybug.” Felix pronounced every word separately, as if it could help him digest the received information piece by piece. “That means… that means that I only love one woman…”

“You…” Marinette started, but was interrupted.

“I stole his miraculous for you, but they turned out to be fake…” Felix declared.

“You… what?” Marinette’s eyes went wide. “From whom? From Shadow Moth?!”

“Funny story… haha!” Felix was laughing nervously, he obviously wasn’t prepared for this conversation as much as she wasn’t. “Ever since I learned Shadow Moth’s identity, I’ve been trying to steal the amulets to return them to you and show that I am worthy of you.”

“You know who Shadow Moth is…” Marinette almost whispered in disbelief.

“I… yes… He slipped me fakes when I opened the safe in his house…” Felix confessed reluctantly.

“You did what?!!” Marinette jumped from the chair.

“I know that you don’t approve of my methods, but sometimes the ends justify the means…” Felix said, making a step towards her. “Plus…”

His words were interrupted, when Chat Noir stumbled into the classroom, breaking through the door and fell to the floor.

The hero immediately jumped up on his feet and looked at those present.

“Hey, guys!” He smiled apologetically. “Sorry for the door. Gotta go. Bye!” And Chat rushed back into the fight with the akuma through the hole in the door.

Marinette looked at Felix, then at the door, then back at Felix.

“I need to help him.” She said, and ran after her partner.

The girl ran to the toilet to transform out of habit, forgetting that she could do it right in the class. She thought that despite the akuma’s influence, much remained unsaid between her and Felix.

Will they be able to be as open with each other once the akuma is neutralized?

*

Magic cure ended its action and Ladybug hit her partner’s fist with hers.

“I have an unfinished thing to do, Chat.” She said, “I need to go!”

Marinette transformed in an alleyway and approached the school, where the students were standing in small groups, waiting to be told if classes would continue. Her classmates stood together, so she went towards them.

“Mari!” Her girlfriends pounced on her. “Where have you been?!”

“I… was… I…” Marinette didn’t have time to come up with an alibi for herself, so much her head was occupied with new realizations of her… feelings?

“She was with me.” She heard Felix’s voice behind her and turned to meet his eyes.

Marinette felt as if everyone around disappeared and they were standing alone, looking into each other’s eyes with a silent conversation about what happened between them earlier.

Did they confess to each other? Do they really have mutual feelings?

Now it all seemed so confusing and incomprehensible, but then it seemed so obvious. Marinette felt that with every passing minute, her certainty that what had happened was real had vanished.

Felix’s eyes looked at her seriously and reservedly, and it was difficult to see through them now that his sensitivity and vulnerability were so well disguised by coldness and severity.

“Riiiiiight!” Chloe exclaimed. “Who would believe that you could spend so much time together, you can’t stand each other! In which I, Felikins, support you very much!”

Marinette opened her mouth to say something, her alibi fading before her eyes, but Felix beat her to it.

“The thing is,” He said, “We were both hit with that truth akuma, and were locked together in an empty classroom.” Felix continued without taking his eyes off Marinette.

“Poor Felikins, you had to spend so much time alone with her!” Chloe whined.

Marinette suppressed the urge to roll her eyes at Chloe’s comment. She didn’t want to tear herself away from those deep green eyes, looking at her so seriously and confidently.

“I was just fine.” Felix rеtorted, face still serious, while looking at Marinette as if they were still alone. “That akuma helped me to say what I should have said to Marinette a long time ago.”

“And what was it?” Chloe teased. “How much she annoys you?”

“No. I told her the truth.” Felix replied, and Marinette’s eyes widened.

She wanted to stop him. She saw how his face tightened and how his eyes burned, and she had a feeling that he was about to say…

“I told her that I love her.” Felix finished.

Most of the girls in the class, who had been following the scene enthusiastically before, gasped and whispered.

Approaching the crowd, Adrian looked confusedly at the couple in the center of it, then at other classmates, not understanding what was happening here and why everyone was silent.

“And what did our girl answer you?” Alya asked carefully, smirking knowingly between them.

Marinette was looking at this boy, who just confessed to her in front of the whole class, choosing to do so of his own free will and not under the influence of an akuma.

It seemed to her as if Felix had regained control of his own life this way. It was as if he had made a decision on top of what life had decided for him, hitting him with truth magic.

Like a rider rides a naughty horse, subordinating it to his will. So Felix decided to bend his life to his will, accepting responsibility for his words, even those spoken against his authority at first.

Marinette made a step to him and took his hand, still not taking her eyes off Felix.

The boy parted his lips a little and looked down at his hand in hers. Then he looked up at her and Marinette was engulfed in a wave of heat that flared in his eyes.

“She said,” Marinette replied finally to Alya’s question, and it seemed to her that the whole class was waiting with bated breath for her answer along with herself. “She said that she loves him back.”

Felix looked at her tenderly and lovingly – the open Felix that she met earlier today visible in him – and pulled Marinette in for a kiss.

She readily accepted the kiss, ignoring gasps and squeals around them, succumbing to the warmth of Felix’s lips on hers.

Chloe snorted, turned around and walked towards the entrance to the school, grumbling as she went.

“Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!” She exclaimed.

Marinette felt Felix smiling into her kiss and smiled back.

There was much more to say between them. But now she was sure that every word they say would be nothing but the truth.

Cure

Cure, verb: 1. To heal, to make well. 2. To solve a problem. 3. To preserve.

Marinette wakes up in the hospital with a head injury and a hazy memory. Adrien is there and he’s the only one who can help her put the pieces back together.

She is having a nightmare. The man in purple is bearing down on her. There is pain and fear and everything is blurred and red. His laughter rings in her head and scares her. She wants to wake up, needs to get away from this man, but she continues to sleep. The blue woman is there now and her twisted smile haunts her.

Wake up! Wake up!

Her eyelids flicker a few times before her eyes open, blinking and squinting in the harsh strip lighting. As she takes in her surroundings, she feels confusion and fear and she opens her mouth to cry out. Something is blocking her throat, muting her voice and she reaches up to tug at it when strong hands grasp hers.

Faces hover over hers. One shines a light in her eyes, another tells her to cough as The Thing is removed from her throat. “You had an accident.” “Lucky to be alive.” “In a coma.” Unfamiliar voices speak and ask her questions: What year is it? What is her name? She croaks her answers, unsure if the voices are listening.

“Mrs Cheng! Mr Dupain! She’s awake!” A familiar voice calls out from behind a curtain.

Footsteps squeak on linoleum.

————-
Aunt Alya and Uncle Nino were right next door and the security system was on. The children had been asleep when Paris’ heroic duo had snuck off into the night. The duo thought that the kids would remain that way until after their return from once again saving Paris.

They thought wrong.

A stunned silence filled the room as they landed through the open window.

Three pairs of wide eyes stared at the heroes.

The heroes stared back.

Each child held a glass of milk in their hands, but at the moment all were too stunned to drink it.

“CHAT NOIR AND LADYBUG ARE IN OUR HOUSE!!!” Louis, the youngest, broke the silence nearly spilled his milk in excitement.

“This is crazy!” Hugo chimed in, recovering from the initial surprise. His arms flailed in wild gestures as he spoke. “Do you need us to help you with a super important mission? Should we go get Mom and Dad? What do you need me to do?!”

“No! No, it’s fine! We just had to make a quick stop.” Ladybug began, her voice an octave higher than usual. She looked to her partner for support only to notice an obnoxiously amused expression on his face as he tilted his head towards Emma. Ladybug’s eyes followed the gesture.

Emma had set her milk on the counter and walked closer to the duo. Her arms were crossed. Although she was only eight, her energy was that of a businesswoman at least 3 times her age.

“Why exactly did you have to make a quick stop here specifically?” She questioned.

Chat struggled to hold back a chuckle. Emma’s stubbornness and analyzing skills both came from her mother. It amused him to see how this would play out between them.

“Hmmm. Yeah Ladybug, why did we chose here specifically?”

Chat Noir’s partner pouted a bit at his response, but her eyes didn’t leave Emma.

The feline hero slowly walked around and subtly took out his baton. He propped it up where it could capture the whole scene, opened the camera, and hit record.

“Well, you see…” Ladybug began as she took a deep breath. “We had this big battle and we just needed a place to rest after it was all over. And I mean, I know normally that we stop to rest on rooftops, but this time we saw the window and decided to just jump in. It’s kind of cold out there tonight right? Hahaha!” She laughed nervously.

“But the windows were locked. Weren’t they?” Emma began to walk a slow circle around the spotted hero. A quiet laugh escaped her partner as he leaned up agains the wall and crossed his arms wishing he had popcorn.

“Yes, yes. Of course they were! But we uh…” Ladybug hesitated. “We know your parents! Yep. That’s right. We know your parents. And they would be totally fine with us being here. We’re old friends. They’ve even told us ‘hey, if you need a place to stay just come on by Marinette and Adrien’s and rest up and recharge! Here’s the security codes!’ They are such good citizens. All citizens should be like them! And that’s why they keep Camembert all the time! Chat’s kwami loves the stuff! And they are just such lovely people they keep it stocked up just in case!”

Her words spilled out much too quickly and frantic. Emma and Hugo looked at her curiously. They had never seen Ladybug so frazzled, but everything about her reaction was all too familiar to them.

“I should really let Mom and Dad know you’re here.” Hugo started walking towards their bedroom.

“Ah yes, please let them know!” Chat Noir chimed in. “I’d hate to wake them but we’re just such good friends and it’s been a long time since we’ve been able to visit.”

Ladybug’s head whipped in his direction, shooting daggers at him with her eyes. He simply shrugged.

Hugo called out from the other end of the hall, “They aren’t here! I checked the other rooms too!”

Louis gasped and ran to the heroes. “You have to help us find them! Did they get lost in the attack? What if they are hurt!”

“I’m sure they are fine.” Ladybug started talking again. The nervousness only becoming more apparent. “Maybe they went out to get something?”

“At 3 AM?” Emma raised an eyebrow.

“Sure thing! Maybe they went next door to get it from the neighbors or something like that.”

“What couldn’t wait until morning?” Emma continued.

“Well, maybe your dad got really sick and needed some medicine so they decided to go next door to get it and he needed it really badly.”

“Why did he go then? Mom could have just gone to get it.” Emma tilted her head.

“Well, maybe he couldn’t remember the name of the specific thing he needed or I don’t know maybe it was an allergic reaction to some new detergent or perfume and it was in the whole house so he had to get out of here. Of course your mom didn’t want to leave him on his own if he was feeling bad so she went with him.”

“But they didn’t tell us? Or leave us a message for when we woke up?”

“Maybe it was an emergency! Or when they left they thought they would be back before you woke up.” Ladybug gritted her teeth a bit.

“But why would dad come back in here if something in here was making him sick?” Hugo joined in on the questioning.

“Oh no! Daddy is sick?!” Louis looked like he was about to cry.

“No! I’m sure your father is fine! It was just a possible scenario. There are a lot of other things that could have happened! Like maybe he fell down the stairs and had to go to the hospital!”

“The hospital!” Tears formed instantly in Louis’ eyes. “Poor Daddy!”

“No, wait!” Ladybug held her hands in front of her self as if trying to block the child’s worries. “There’s other reasons they could have left that involve your dad not getting hurt! Maybe your mom was the one who was sick.”

“Not Mommy!”

“Maybe neither one of them are sick!” The nervous laugh that escaped Ladybug was verging on manic. “There are tons of reasons parents leave in the middle of the night. I’m sure they’ll be back soon and I’m sure they are fine and not hurt and they aren’t sick and they didn’t get attacked by an akuma and they didn’t fall down the stairs I’m sure there is a completelylogicalexplinationforallofthis.”

Her words ran together as her arms waved around in a panic.

While the situation had been amusing to Chat Noir at first, he’d seen his partner spiral enough times to know when to step in. Enough was enough. He approached her and settled both hands on her shoulders gently.

“M’lady.” She looked up at him. “If not today, this could happen tomorrow. If not tomorrow, maybe next week. You know I’ve wanted to be open with them about this for a long time. I know that you wanted to have the perfect way to do it. I know that you wanted to have the perfect words to say. I know you were trying to figure out the best plan. But I think it’s just as well for it to happen just like it’s happening right now. We will keep them safe.”

Her breathing evened out and she smiled at him softly. Her eyes glistened as she nodded.

“You’re right. It’s going to be okay.” They hugged each other.

“Wow! Chat Noir calms Ladybug down when she’s upset just like Daddy does with Mommy!” Louis exclaimed. His siblings’ eyes were wide behind them as they took in the scene. What their little brother said only confirmed it.

Ladybug laughed into Chat’s shoulder and turned to the kids.

“There’s something we need to tell you three.” Chat Noir started to bend down.

Emma and Hugo exchanged a knowing look.

Emma put her hands on her hips and looked up into feline eyes. “I think the cat is already out of the bag, Dad.”

Ladybug groaned as she facepalmed.

“And here I thought you just took after your mother!” Chat laughed as he sat on his knees. “Claws in.”

His transformation fell.

“I knew it!” Hugo exclaimed as he and Emma ran to hug their father.

Louis was in awe, but his expression quickly soured. “But Daddy! Chat Noir loves Ladybug! You’ve kissed Ladybug! I saw it online! You kissed her lots of times! What about Mommy?!”

His older siblings laughed and Ladybug picked up the 5 year old.

“It would be really strange if your dad was running around kissing someone else wouldn’t it, little guy?”

He nodded.

“Well, it’s a good thing he isn’t.” She booped his nose. “Spots off.“

Louis’ eyes grew wide as the pink magic faded. “Mommy!”

He hugged her tightly.

“Finally!” Plagg flew over to the kitchen to grab some Camembert. “Now, we don’t have to hide anymore. I can eat all the cheese I want!”

“Like you don’t already do that.” Adrien rolled his eyes.

“It will be much easier now that they know.” Tikki agreed munching on a macaroon.

“You are both so cute!” Emma squealed.

“Why didn’t you tell us before?” Hugo asked.

Adrien ruffled his son’s hair. “We thought it would be safer for you to not know yet.”

“But you would have known sooner if it was up to your dad.” Marinette admitted.

“We can keep your secret Mommy!” Louis beamed.

“I know you can.” She sighed in relief. The kids knew now and she saw no sign of Bunnix. Maybe it was the right time.

“Mom?” Emma approached her. “Are you sure you’re okay with this?”

“Yes sweetie.” Ladybug was sure to be worried on and off about this. Her mind would definitely bring up all the ways that this could go wrong, but she knew her husband would be there to help her work through those emotions. As if he could read her mind their eyes met and Adrien gave her a reassuring smile. “But now you have to be extra careful. You three can’t tell anyone.”

Hugo tiled his head.  “Not even Uncle Nino and Aunt Alya?”

“What about Uncle Luka and Aunt Juleka?” Emma added.

Adrien looked at his wife with a smile. “I think we need to properly introduce them to their ‘aunts and uncles’ now that they know our secret.”

“I think we could arrange that.” Marinette laughed.

Five Times Chat Noir Met Marinette’s Parents (And One Time She Met His)

Hi, I’m back!! I survived my exams despite a few hurdles (my exam platform’s logo change to a purple butterfly was definitely fitting), and I am now officially on holiday! Very belated @marichatmay contribution, based on day 7, “meet the parents” (I couldn’t sit it out when this is where it all started <3)

The power of procrastination was of no help to get me to post it on time, but at least it’s still May so all is good… Hope you’ll enjoy!

Five Times Chat Noir Met Marinette’s Parents (And One Time She Met His)

The first time Chat Noir met Marinette’s parents through the proper channels (excluding any encounter without his mask), things hadn’t gone well. At all.

Retrospectively, he supposed it couldn’t have gone any other way, given how the whole occasion had been based on a misunderstanding, that Marinette was in love with him, and that he was interested in dating her. Tom’s akumatised form had been a sight to behold, and one he hoped never to confront again.

He’d gone home later on, relieved that the ordeal was over, that everything had been resolved, and that Marinette was still his friend. Just his friend.

(Retrospectively, he’d laugh about the irony of the situation.)

The second time Chat Noir met Marinette’s parents had been planned. Tom and Sabine had insisted that she invite him again, to make amends for their previous encounter. Marinette regularly had her friends come over for various occasions, why should Chat Noir be excluded? If anything, him wearing a mask and saving Paris on a daily basis more than justified him being offered a break and some home-made pastries, fresh from the oven.

Not to mention that his presence meant that they could turn their family game time into a competition with fair teams…

“Kitten Heels style, boo-ya!” Marinette and Chat Noir exclaimed, fist bumping as their team name glistened on the screen, their characters doing a victory dance while Tom’s and Sabine’s cried in the background.

“We need a rematch, my controller was jammed!” Tom complained while Sabine gently patted his back.

“You’re such a sore loser, Papa!” Marinette giggled. “It was obvious that we’d win, we had the best team name.”

As she babbled about how it was the perfect balance between her (fashion), and him (kitten), Chat Noir had thought that the excited blush Marinette sported looked very good on her.

A strictly platonic observation, of course. Marinette was objectively a very pretty friend of his. Just like Ladybug, he’d thought briefly, before reminding himself that it wasn’t exactly like Ladybug, since she was a friend he was in love with, unlike Marinette.

He did enjoy spending time with her just as much, though. So much so, in fact, that he stayed for another round of UMS IV, but purely to help his friend show her dad who was the superior team, of course.

(The power of friendship always so strong.)

Marinette regularly had her friends come over for various occasions, why should Chat Noir be excluded? If anything, him wearing a mask and saving Paris on a daily basis more than justified him being offered a break and some home-made pastries, fresh from the oven.

The third time Chat Noir met Marinette’s parents, well… He still wasn’t entirely sure how he’d gotten roped into actually spending time with them. And not just them, but Marinette’s whole family.

He’d completely forgotten about the Epiphany, since his family never celebrated it on the day, or at all since his mother had died. He’d therefore turned up, uninvited, on Marinette’s terrasse on the day in question (a Saturday, or the day of the week he frequently made his way to Marinette’s anyway, being bored in his room and knowing they’d find fun activities to do together– even just lying on her floor in silence), and stumbled onto a full Dupain-Cheng reunion, complete with grandparents and great-uncle. Sabine and Marinette had insisted that he stayed, reiterating that he was always welcome.

He’d hesitated a bit for appearances’ sake, but deep down his mind had already been made up.

Thus he’d found himself laughing with Marinette’s whole family, enjoying the warmth of the company and that of the galette. He didn’t mind the sweetness, either.

Marinette had gotten the fève, and he’d observed her glee as her father placed a crown on her head. Sitting next to her, he had the best view of her flushed cheeks, and couldn’t help the adoring smile pulling at his lips.

Between two pictures to commemorate the occasion, Roland had reminded everyone that the queen of the day should choose a king, and surrender her crown to him if she wanted to keep her prize. Marinette hadn’t hesitated a second before transferring her crown to Chat’s head.

He’d felt very giddy at the thought that she’d chosen him. His smile had grown larger as the feeling washed over him before freezing. Marinette had probably done it because he was sitting the closest to her. Not for any other reason.

He knew he shouldn’t feel disappointed by the thought; it wasn’t her fault that he’d fallen in love with her. He’d ignored the tight feeling in his chest, put on a brave smile, and joined the others to laugh at one of Tom’s jokes, even cracking one himself.

“Ah Chat Noir, your humour fits right in!” Gina had commented, wiping a tear. “Will he be joining us next year as well, my little fairy?” She’d turned towards her grand-daughter.

Marinette’s cheeks had pinked and her eyes had darted towards him.

“I, um, I don’t know, Nonna, it’s really up to him…” she’d stammered. “But, um… I guess I’d be happy to have him as my king every year,” she’d added more quietly.

Chat Noir still blushed when he thought about it. His heart had skipped a beat, and all he’d thought was: oh. Oh.

“That implies that you’ll be the queen every year, and I wouldn’t be so sure about that!” Tom’s contagious laughter boomed in the apartment, soon joined by his family’s.

While they bickered on who would be the king or queen the next year, Marinette remained quiet, smiling shyly and avoiding Chat Noir’s gaze. He discreetly took her hand under the table, giving her a bit of a start, and ran his gloved thumb over her knuckles with a smitten smile.

I’d be happy to be your king every year, too.

The fourth time Chat Noir met Marinette’s parents, Chat Noir would’ve liked to melt into Marinette’s divan. After a week of tiptoeing around the unsaid of the Epiphany (both literal and figurative) weekend, he and Marinette had finally sat down and talked about their feelings for one another.

When the conversation had started, they’d been sitting on opposite ends of Marinette’s sofa. Before they knew it, their smiling lips were brushing against each other’s, and their eyes fluttering shut…

…only for them to open wide again with the creak of Marinette’s trap door bursting open.

“Aha, I knew I’d heard Chat Noir’s voi–” Tom’s own voice had faded as the two teenagers jumped apart, cheeks ablaze. “Oh.”

“Hi, Mr Dupain.” Chat Noir had scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

“Tom, honey, you know you need to knock before going into Marinette’s room,” Sabine chided, her head appearing next to Tom’s. “Sorry, children, we’ll give the two of you some privacy. Although I guess we should maybe find a system to keep the door ajar when Chat Noir is over?” She’d given Marinette a knowing look, and Marinette’s cheeks turned even redder than Chat Noir had thought possible.

He’d been glad to see he wasn’t the only one who wanted to disappear.

They’d made sure to find more private places to make out after that.

Everything indicated that the fifth time Chat Noir would meet Marinette’s parents would go smoothly, and yet Chat Noir couldn’t help the anxious feeling gripping his chest in the moments preceding the encounter.

“Do I look okay?” he asked Marinette, fiddling with his magical suit’s cuffs as he observed his reflection in his girlfriend’s mirror. He fidgeted a little more, checking every seam with a doubtful pout, before taking a second look at his hair. It was too messy, he decided, creating a middle part and tucking some strands behind his human ears.

Marinette grimaced at the sight; she crept up behind him and ruffled his hair back to its usual state, before coming to stand next to him.

“Hey!” Chat Noir protested.

“Relax, kitty, you’ve already met my parents!” She laughed, standing on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek.

“But it wasn’t the same, we weren’t dating,” he complained, resting his head on top of hers.

“Weren’t we, though?” she replied, eyes full of mirth.

“Ugh, you know what I mean…” He sighed.

“Chat Noir, my parents love you already.” She turned towards him and cupped his cheeks with her hands. Chat Noir’s arms immediately wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer. She adjusted her hold on him, her arms finding their way around his neck.

“Easy for you to say,” he mumbled.

“You’ll get your revenge when I meet your parents, I promise.” She stood on her tiptoes to kiss him, pulling away after a small peck, which brought a smile to her boyfriend’s lips. “Now come on, you don’t want to be late. My parents wouldn’t be impressed.”

“But I thought they didn’t need to be impressed?!” Chat Noir’s panic flared up, replacing his comment on her mentioning his parents, as she gently nudged him towards her bed and her skylight.

“Only way to know is to show up. See you in a bit, Kitty.”

Tom and Sabine’s open arms and large smiles after he’d rang the bell, one minute after the time he was supposed to arrive, definitely reassured him.

The stray had truly found a home.

A week and a half later, Marinette cursed herself for her prediction when it came to meeting Chat Noir’s parents. She couldn’t have been more right; even Chat Noir’s tight grip on her as they almost literally flew across the Parisian rooftops didn’t soothe her nerves in the slightest.

She hadn’t thought Chat Noir would actually pick up on her joke about meeting her parents. At any rate, she’d thought that he would have consulted Ladybug before acting on it, and that she would have gotten a heads up that way.

But nooooo; Chat Noir had just swung by her place to pick her up, and casually thrown in that he was taking her to meet his parents. As if the event wasn’t stressful enough, she had to deal with the stress of identities. What if she recognised them? What if she didn’t but found out who he was anyway? What then?…

She bit her lips nervously, eyes unfocused as she tried to find a way out, completely missing Chat Noir’s repressed smile as he slowed down, craning his neck as he looked out for something.

“Ah, here we are!”

Marinette closed her eyes tightly as he set her down on the rooftop. This was her only option. The only one she could think of, anyway.

“Marinette, please open your eyes,” Chat Noir laughed.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she gulped. “I’m sorry, Mr and Mrs… erm… Noir? But I can’t know who you are, it’s too dangerous.”

Chat Noir burst out laughing.

“What?” Marinette couldn’t help but feel vexed. “I can’t know who you are, what would– AH WHAT WAS THAT?!”

She jumped out of her skin as something soft brushed against her ankle, her eyes opening in the process. Chat doubled over, struggling to catch his breath as he watched her take in their surroundings.

“Those are cats,” she stated, her heart still racing.

“They are.” He wiped a tear.

“They’re not your parents.”

“They could be.” He let out a long breath. “Wow, you should’ve seen your face. As if I’d do something like this with Hawkmoth still around.”

Marinette wanted to kiss his grin off of his face.

“I hate you, you know that?” She crossed her arms over her chest.

“I love you too, chouquette.” He took her in his arms and kissed her forehead, and she melted into his embrace.

“For the record, I really would like you to meet my real parents one day,” he told her later, when he took her back to her place. “Well. At least my mother. I hope I’ll be able to take you to see her one day.”

“I hope so too.” Marinette smiled.

“One day.” Chat Noir sighed wistfully.

“One day,” she promised.

Hey everyone. I’m sorry I have been away for so long. Truth be told, I haven’t been doing well mentally for a long while and it was just getting worse. While writing on here was an escape for me for a while, some people had started being very mean in my DMs when I didn’t immediately write their stories, so I decided to step away until I was better. Finally feeling more like myself again, so I’m back and going to try and get back to writing consistently. Working on and writing several ML salt prompts and fic ideas right now and hope to have a few posted as early as tonight. Thanks to everyone that has been so patient waiting for their prompts, that means the world to me! If you sent me a request and it hasn’t been written yet, rest assured I will get to it as soon as I can. Got quite the backlog to work through, but I will get them done! Glad to be back and hope y’all like what I post!

Listen Instead of Lie

This is based off a prompt by @miraculousfanworks that I was tagged in by @vixen-uchiha a while back. Sorry it took so long for me to get to it! Hope this was worth the wait!

What happens if Lila tries to lie about MDC, when the class already knows who MDC is? The end of the liar’s reign happens.

Marinette had been making quite the name for herself in the fashion world. Ever since she made the sunglasses for Jagged, he kept asking her for more pieces every few months. He also made sure to brag on Marinette every chance he got, using her pseudonym, MDC. Soon other major celebrities had commissioned her work and were also raving about the talented young designer. She was quickly becoming a household name, or at least her pseudonym was. Marinette wanted to stay relatively anonymous for now, for a few reasons, Lila being chief among them. She worried that if the liar knew about her success, she would try to destroy it. She also didn’t want to be hounded for her work for now. So she resolved to use the name MDC until she graduated at least.

As the whole world was talking about her designs, no one knew who MDC actually was. That is, except for her class. Marinette had been using MDC for all of her designs for years, ever since they had known her. So naturally, they all knew who this ‘mysterious new designer’ was. They were very happy for their friend and her success. While they didn’t get why Marinette didn’t tell the world who she was (after all, who wouldn’t want to have this kind of spotlight), they did respect her wishes, and made sure not to slip up and mention her actual name in public. However, when it was just the class, they would gush about Marinette and her latest designs, always impressed with their friend’s work. Maybe if Lila had listened to her friends talk, instead of always make the conversation about her lies, then maybe she wouldn’t have made such a stupid mistake.

MDC was now a major player in the fashion industry and was even going to be featured at the next Paris Fashion Week and the class couldn’t be happier for their friend. The class decided that they wanted to throw Marinette a small party, nothing too crazy, but they wanted to congratulate her. The next morning, they arrived at school and when they went in the classroom, they saw Lila walking from the back of the classroom where Marinette was sitting towards the front to her desk. Lila went to greet the class with a sweet smile plastered on her face, but the class just continued towards Marinette. Lila hated the class even looking at Marinette. And she would put a stop to it. As Lila approached the group, she heard Alya say, “Marinette! We saw the latest news about MDC and we wanted to tell you-” But before Alya could finish her thought, Lila jumped in. If she had listened to what Alya was saying, she may have thought again about what she was going to say. But she was so focused on getting the attention off Marinette and back on to her, that she went to her usual plan. Lie. But this time that was the worst thing she could have done.

“Oh Alya! You all are talking about MDC?” Alya turned back to Lila with a smile, slightly irritated though that she had been interrupted. “Oh yeah, we were just going to tell Marinette-” Lila cut her off again. “Oh MDC is such a sweetheart. We actually met at the Milan Fashion Week, before she used MDC as her name. MDC are the initials of her mother who got her into fashion. Its her way of honoring her mother. I was so happy to hear she will be at the Paris Fashion Week, maybe I could introduce you all and get us tickets to her show? And Marinette, maybe she could give you some pointers on how to break into the fashion world?” Lila put on her best shy smile and waited for the class to gush about how awesome that would be, and how sweet Lila is. But that never came. Instead the class was staring at her in shock and anger.

“Lila? What are you talking about? Why are you lying?” Alya asked, hoping maybe she had misunderstood Lila, though she didn’t see how she could have. “What are you talking about? I’m not lying! I’ve known MDC for years, we are very good friends.” Lila immediately got defensive. Nino spoke up, saying “That isn’t possible.” Lila, forgetting to appear sweet and nice, snapped at Nino. “And why is that Nino?” Marinette stood up from her desk. “Because I am MDC.” Lila scoffed. “Do you guys actually believe her? She is obviously lying for attention since her fashion business isn’t doing as well. You should be ashamed Marinette, taking credit from a hard working designer! I thought you were better than that!” Lila expected the class to drop the conversation. They always did when this happened, if only to keep the peace. But they just doubled down. Alya walked towards Lila, furious that this girl had been lying to them, likely since she joined the class. “Marinette isn’t lying. She is MDC. And if you hadn’t interrupted me earlier, and listened, you would have heard us congratulate her for her success. She has used those initials for years for her fashion. MDC stands for Marinette Dupain-Cheng. You haven’t been friends with her for years, and you certainly haven’t been friends since you got here!” Lila was backed into a corner. She had no way out of this.

The class started yelling as they realized that not only did Lila try to lie about Marinette as MDC, but had likely been lying to them the whole time. Lila couldn’t lie her way out of this one. So she ran. She ran out of the school and all the way home. The class continued with the celebration, congratulating Marinette and then treating her to a picnic in the park after school to celebrate. They had a great time, and went their separate ways that night, glad to not only have congratulated their friend, but defended her from a liar.

Later that night, Lila would convince her mother to send her back to Italy, saying that she was scared of the akumas and didn’t want to stay in Paris. Lila wished she didn’t have to leave Paris, but her mother wouldn’t just let her transfer to another school in Paris. And she couldn’t risk transferring to a new school in the city and then Mrs. Bustier’s class spreading the word that she is a liar. Lila knew that if she just asked her mom to transfer because she didn’t like her school, her mom would say to tough it out and not let her transfer. But if she was too scared to stay in Paris entirely? Her mother would listen. So, Lila reluctantly left Paris behind and returned to Italy. She would be living with her grandparents until a new school, likely a boarding school since her grandparents couldn’t care for her long term, could be found. Lila sat on the plane to Italy, lamenting her mistakes in Mrs. Bustier’s class. If only she had listened more than she lied.

“I’m here to see my Prince, of course.”

“Your Prince? Since when is he your Prince?”

“Since the spring. Isn’t that right, Adrien?”

The way his name slipped off her tongue made Adrien want to die. They made eye contact and something inside of him flipped, feeling the urge to trust her completely though they had only spoken sparse words minutes before.

Summary: Emma Dupain-Cheng always wanted to know more about her father - but her mother lied to her and told her he was dead.
And it would be like that, if Adrien Agreste hadn’t came back to Paris and they hadn’t bumped into each other during a fashion event.
Now, knowing her father is Adrien Agreste - Chat Noir! - Emma does what her mother - Ladybug! - forbade her to do - she grabs the rabbit miraculous and travels back in time to fix everything.
She deserved a happy family - and she would do everything possible to have it.

‘cause you’re the one thing I believe in

when I lose faith in all I do

this paradise comes when I close my eyes

tt’s true, in the darkness I see you

seafret - breathe

Emma Dupain-Cheng fell in love with a camera when she was barely three years old - or at least, it was the story her mom loved to tell people.

Marinette always said that if Emma saw a camera, she would laugh, giggle, scream or do something to be the center of the camera’s attention. She would pose and beg for photos, making Nino the most happy man ever since he was a photographer, he always had his camera ready for Emma’s photoshoots.

Marinette lost track of nights she spent with Emma on her lap as she looked photos and photos of Emma in different outfits and places, aging like the model she was, like her father-

No. No. Adrien was her past and he decided to move on without them. He didn’t know about Emma and he didn’t have to, so Marinette hated to admit it, but she was selfish and cowardly and lied to Emma, telling her that her father was dead and his ashes were free in the ocean he loved when he was alive.

Besides, it has been sixteen years since he left. Emma would turn sixteen in some weeks and Marinette couldn’t believe how far her little princess was going as an international model.
