Ok, but the real question is: do the Lans have a tan line on their foreheads because of the forehead ribbon or do they take it of for some time a day while under the sun to even out the skin tone?
I was thinking about how long Lan Wangji spent waiting for Wei Wuxian (13 years at the novel and audio drama, and 16 years at the tv drama) and my mind made me the favor of providing me with more angst material:
13 years (or 16) is more than time enough for you to start forgetting (or at least have trouble at trying to remember) someone’s face, someone’s voice, someone’s laugh.
So imagine how much it hurt Wangji when one day he noticed he could no longer remember which shade of gray Wuxian’s eyes were, then a few months or even years after that he woke up and noticed he could no longer remember his voice. Sometimes he found someone’s voice similar to Wuxian’s, but he thought “Is it really similar or is my mind just trying to fill the gaps on my memories of him?” and the idea having false memories of the love of his life, that the laugh he remembered might not be actually Wuxian’s but someone else’s that his mind apropriated to fill the gaps, somehow hurt even more than knowing that eventually he would no longer even have these memories to remember Wuxian by.
Yes, if I had to think about it, so will you.

Playing with brushes, so here is a Wei Ying.
“Great news! Wei Wuxian is dead!”
Currently buried under deadlines, but here’s a loose Yiling Laozu screenshot redraw from the donghua.

The first time LWJ made the Yiling Laozu smile after bringing him (and the Wens) back to Gusu.
