ok ok ok i am really bloody tired lately, mostly because we’re short a position and it’s summer so we have the summer reading program to run at work andit’s summer so a lot of people are taking vacation leave (i just did five hours of direct patron assistance when i usually do 1 or 2) and the summer reading program doesn’t end till the 12th… but the week after that i’m in training literally every single day for five days straight SO THAT ALL BEING SAID….. semi-hiatus till my energy comes back.
Imagine the pure, overwhelming parental pride you would feel as a career actor, winning an Emmy on a show that you created with your child. Watching that show sweep the Emmys. Watching that child win for directing, writing, and acting.
In contrast: imagine creating a whole human being from scratch, and that human–a human to whom you GAVE LIFE–had FOUR OPPORTUNITIES to thank you in an Emmy speech, and still did not manage it.
