Similarities between the Sonic Movie and Sonic Movie 2
Ever since I saw the sequel for the first time, I noticed a lot of things that happened there that happened as well in the first movie. Now that I’ve seen the movie three times in theaters, I finally finished this list I’ve been working on since the first time I saw it.

To be a Sonic Movie it must feature:
- A bar scene.
- Tom punching someone in the face.
- Someone getting tucked in.
- Sonic eating chili dogs.
- Robotnik moving/acting like a robot.
- Sanic reference.
- Any anthropomorphic animal gets hurt and Maddie takes care of them.
- Sonic falling in water/getting wet.
- Musical montage where Sonic’s having fun.
- Afro Sonic.
- The Wachowski house being destroyed.
- Someone flossing.
- Someone spying on someone (Sonic spying on the Green Hills people and Tails spying on Sonic).
- Slow motion scene with Sonic avoiding the drones attacks and destroying them.

- Sonic falling on his face.
- Tom saying “What am I doing?”
- Robotnik shrieking.

- Someone from Sonic’s planet drives a car.

- Sonic being rendered unconscious at least three times.

- A young character is knocked unconscious and his new friend begs desperately for them to wake up.
- Sonic almost dying by Robotnik’s hand and getting a power up to defeat him.

- Sonic saying “Uhh… Meow?”
- A character with a traumatic past is in need of a friend and ends up not only earning friends, but also a family.
- Wholesome found family ending.
- A beloved and very important character from the games being featured in the post credit scene.

A small gift I made for @the-brucest-fan. From her Sonic Movie AU “A Hedgehog in Human’s Clothing”, here’s a drawing of how Sonic looks as a human in said AU! The AU’s about Sonic becoming a human on Earth as a result of the rings, which in this AU turn you into the dominant species of the planet they go up once they go through the portal. I hope you all like it!
After seeing the original post by @the-brucest-fan “Blue Speedster’s Paradise” I couldn’t resisted drawing their designs for the Sonic Movie Human Disguise AU of Sonic, Tails & Knuckles, I even added a little dialogue along with it.

Personally, I like this wave’s accesories better than the ones from the first wave, although I hope that isn’t the final look of the Super Sonic figure, since it still has the green eyes instead of red. But anyway, the rest of the wave looks beautiful to me
After weeks of waiting, I can finally share the news that I was told!
On May 13th, 2022, Klamath Community College held a small Comicon event catered to their students. Film makers, actors, and screenwriters made guest appearances via Zoom to talk about the movies that they were in. Of those special guests were Pat Casey and Josh Miller. While there was discussion of Sonic 1 & 2, there was a brief mention of Sonic 3.
The following has been shared about the third Sonic Movie so far:
AmyRoss has yet to make an appearance, nor has it been decided currently if she will appear in the third film due to the script being written (18:55 to 19:10).
There is strong potential that Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow solo arch, Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), will be referenced in the third film (23:25 to 24:05).
Pat Casey confirmed that they had a big name voice actor in mind for Shadow. All that they—the crew behind the film—we’re waiting for is for the actor to confirm that they wanted the role. There were no indications that a previous video game voice actor would reprise the role of “Shadow” in the third Sonic Movie (29:54 to 30:30).
Crush 40 has a mildly decent chance in appearing in the third film, though it’s not confirmed as of yet. Both Pat Casey and Josh Miller hope and lean towards the possibility of it being “Live and Learn.” The song choice is popular amongst the fans and the producers are very aware of this being a strong want (30:40 to 30:50).
Though not confirmed, it is heavily implied that there will be a new addition to Sonic’s growing team in each film, or at least one new character to the movies if the fans are interested in them/the film’s stories (31:55 to 32:25).
If Jim Carey were to retire from acting, the third movie’s direction will focus on other characters due to Sonic’s franchise being so vast. He would be missed, they would welcome him back if he wanted to take a break from the third and work on the fourth, but they are confident that he could return (33:40 to 35:00).
As of now, the script is in the “Blue Sky” Phase. This means that they’re still planning and every possible idea that could happen between characters and actors coming/leaving (35: 30 to 36:02).
Though no exact date, the belief here is that the third Sonic film may be released in theaters in about two years (36:10 to 36:30).
If the next movie plans to tackle SA2′s story, I want it to answer one of the game’s biggest questions, why does Shadow look so much like Sonic, despite having been created first?
Given how in the movies, multiple Owl Tribe temples exist on Earth, and we still don’t know exactly what Sonic is and where his powers came from…it’s entirely possible that Sonic’s existence was foretold by the tribe, and records of this prophecy were found by humans and used as a blueprint to create the ultimate lifeform, ProjectShadow.
Doing this would not only fix a major issue of the source material, but it would also allow us to explore Movie!Sonic’s origins, an aspect that, two movies in, still remains shrouded in mystery.
THIS RIGHT HERE!! ☝️☝️☝️
All I want to see in the next movie is that they explore Sonic’s powers, his origins! Who knows? Maybe he is linked to Shadow because they share the same power core or something like that, and since the movie creates it’s own rules for its universe, the posibilities are endless!

This one was really challenging since I’ve never done that kind of glow effects before (except for the lightning bolts) and I’ve never colored a gem, but I’m really happy with the final result
Legit had to make a little mini compilation of Sonic and his adorable interactions with best doggo Ozzie. At least the ones that stand out the most since Ozzie doesn’t appear all that much.

For a long time I’ve wanted to share with you my design for Movie!Sonic as a human boy. It is part of an AU I’ve been working on, and I call it “A Hedgehog un Human’s Clothing”.
In this AU, Sonic turns into a human thanks to the rings, which in addition to teleport beings to other worlds, they can also allow the user to turn into a being of the dominant species of the world to visit so they can go unnoticed.

While experimenting a bit, I came up with this design for Human Movie!Tails for the AU ✨
As he misses his twin tails while in his human form, he ties his jacket around his waist like that so the sleeves would resemble his missing tails. He also has more freckles than Sonic and a beauty mark on his left cheek (I didn’t know what to do with the left hand, so I never drew it )
This is just a concept and the design may change, although I already love how he looks. He’s just a smol boi looking for his older brother
Just designed Human Movie!Knuckles!
I don’t know what kid of pose is this. I was only experimenting and this was what came out
Before going to Earth with Robotnik, the doctor remembers the echidna will turn into a human and appear naked once he goes through the portal, so he takes the clothes of one of the creatures he defeated before and gives them to Knuckles (only the pants, since he keeps the boots and the gloves even in his human form). It isn’t until Robotnik offers him working together that he gets him better clothes: green cargo pants, a white sleeveless shirt, a cropped red tank top and a green bandana. Knuckles also ties part of his dreadlocks, but they get loose after the battle in the temple.
As Human Movie!Tails, this is just a first concept and might be changed later. I really loved Movie! Knuckles and I was eager to finally design his human form ❤️
A Nezha Reborn version of my Fast Shadows AU! It’s a bit old but Sonic Prime gave me the motivation to dig through my folder and post this. There are some differences here compared to my Lego Monkie Kid version. I’ll be going over on appearance and the new character than actual AU details. That’s for the other blog, @talesofsonicasura.
Considering where Nezha Reborn takes place, Donghai City, a time where the Heavens fell apart… It only makes sense that their designs would have a more punk feel. Sonic wearing violet mascara, an ear piercing and most interesting black fur tattoos that resemble ears. He wears sandals for harsher kicks as his claws down there are quite sharp. His weapon being a peculiar bronze staff with mysterious properties.
This Macaque is MUCH different than his Lego Monkie Kid counterpart. His hair much longer and he indulged in various dyes. He’s also on the chunky, first attempt at a dad bod, plus male monkeys tend to gain weight when they have babies of their own. His six ears aren’t colorful unless their magic is being used. Macaque also wields two short spears that clip together to form a dual bladed spear.
Finally our third character in the picture, Spiny. This is a Salamander who disguised himself as a Pygmy Spiny Tailed Skink, one Macaque got for Sonic. (He didn’t find out until he came back home to his little hedgehog son nestled comfortably against the large Salamander.) Spiny serves as Sonic’s familiar and adapts based on the love n care from the two.
The six eared frills alongside the violet colors from Macaque with the rigged protective shell and blue colors from Sonic. Spiny’s hind legs can be tucked inside his protective shell as a way to control his agility. These limbs are quite powerful as it doubles the Salamander’s speed and jumping power.
