I Can’t Get Over this New Calathea Orbifolia Leaf
I Think this Pothos is N'joying its Custom Pot
I made this pot and saucer specifically for this plant in 2019. I sure do miss having access to a recreational pottery studio - I was just getting into making my own pots. The few plants I have in my own ceramic seem so happy too Look how much this sweet bb has grown since May 2020!

New Year, New Leaf - Happy Monstera Monday!
An Adorable New Adansonii Leaf for Monstera Monday
Avocado from seed update!
Lots of new growth after the rain. I’m keeping the soil moist to continue the growth. So far looking good!
I’ve grown this from seed for 3 years! I use a wet towel to cover the pit, then put it all in a Ziploc bag and keep it in a dry place.
Check on it once a week, this is a crucial step, so set up reminders on your phone! You should see roots after 4-8 weeks. Pot it in soil after the roots are about 3-4 inches long and strong.
Any questions, let me know!
I’m so happy to see my new anthuriums grow so fast! This is an Anthurium Hookeri, she was overwatered and getting too much direct sunlight. As soon as I changed that, she started getting back her dark green color and it is giving me so many new leaves!
My baby!! I’ve grown this one from seed, a 3.5 year journey so far. Can’t wait for her to keep growing!
Questions? Ask them away!!!
My begonia Sinbad is coming back!
I’ve grown this begonia since 2020. She grew so tall and bushy, I was super proud! But last year she was affected by powdery mildew, which is a horrible fungus disease that spreads really fast.
I treated her with strong neem oil and cut her down several times, but the mildew kept coming back. So after several times, I decided to cut all of the branches down, like super hardcore.
After a few months of just watering enough and being in observation in my ER room, she is coming back. Fingers crossed that the mildew won’t come back
Have any of your plants been mislabeled?
Now that the fenestrated leaves are fully open, definitely can say it is a rhaphidophora decursiva. They were mislabeled.
Regardless, I’ve enjoyed growing her for a bit over a year. When I first saw the first fenestrations, I wanted to cry
I definitely love the dark green color and the texture of the leaves.
What do you like about your current favorite plant? Reblog and share it with me.
We have fenestrations!! I’m screaming help me share this!
This is such a gorgeous plant. I provided high humidity and accurate watering (based on finger test) and medium indirect light.
Question/comments? Let me know!
Ophelia Birkinstock is being weird. I’m thinking she could be reverting? Looks cool though.
Roots on my PPP cutting!
Experimenting With Plants
Idk if this is controversial or not, and I have no idea if it will work for you. I’m just saying what I did when I wanted my African violet to bloom again.
They say to keep the soil evenly moist, but I’ve also read that stress can encourage blooming. So I took a shot in the dark and started letting it dry out. I never water until it’s bone dry.
I like the results so far; I hope they last.
Most Proud Of:
Okay, I know this little fiddle has seen better days. I for one am thankful that he hangs on. Phinneas the Ficus, ya’ll. Bask in his glory(and edema).
Grown From Seed
I feel certain I shared pictures of my okra spouts when I first plotted them in spring. So cute, just a couple inches high. I wasn’t sure if they’d have time to mature before cold weather. (First timer growing food).
Now all of them are taller than me! Hence the upward angle of the photo. They started producing months ago, probably around two feet tall.
I still can’t believe one of my crops survived! I also tried to grow cantelope, corn, and brussel sprouts. They are no longer with us.
Flaunt Your Leaves
So proud of these baby leaves emerging from my butterfly cuttings! Aaaahhhhh so excited to watch them fill up a pot of their own!
