we-are-inevitable:

modern au where davey and jack meet by playing in a mutual friend’s minecraft server but it’s a long distance relationship bc jack lives in Manhattan and davey lives in Chicago so they only communicate via discord, snap, insta, FaceTime and their own minecraft server

more thoughts (also thank you @roidenyand@to-be-a-dreamer for indulging me)

• so im thinking jack and davey meet because of kath and sarah
• kath is invited to a server that Sarah, her long distance girlfriend, runs, and after a few weeks kath gets the go-ahead to invite jack, her bestie
• and eventually after talking and playing together nonstop, jack and davey start their own personal server for the both of them
• which THEN turns into davey and sarah being invited into the Manhattan Besties server (kath, charlie (jack’s brother), race, jack, al, finch, and sometimes spot (race’s boyfriend/jack’s brother))
• but in their personal server:
• davey being the hardcore miner who jack rarely ever sees on screen bc he’s always in a cave but sometimes davey will just yell “OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK” and spawn back in the house that jack is meticulously building
• like they talk to each other constantly on call but they never See each other in the world bc davey is always off looking for diamonds or mineshafts
• and jack is like. builder extraordonaire. he doesn’t mine at ALL but he runs their little farm and builds an entire village around their house and decorates it constantly
• “do you need lapis” “haha what no are you– of fucking course i need lapis this wool isn’t going to dye itself”
• jack is the total minecraft housewife and he loves it sm

and some thoughts on the group:

• jack likes jungles and thinks they’re pretty, plus he’s like. one of those bitches who builds huge elaborate treehouses
• davey just makes a big underground base off of a mine he started, he’s chill with any biome- but he has a soft spot for jungles bc that’s where jack is
• sarah likes the desert, kath likes the ice spikes, they argue about it a lot and nothing ever gets done
• race doesn’t care where he is as long as he can have a house on the tallest mountain in view
• al is a plains kind of guy bc it’s easy and nostalgic, and bc he has everything he could ever need
• spot likes the taiga and will fight anyone who doesn’t like spruce wood
• charlie likes beaches and deserts like sarah, and is also the one who is most likely to build underwater in the coral reefs
• finch likes the snowy tundra but he spends So Much Time in the jungle with jack bc jack has a jukebox and finch likes seeing the parrots dance
• finch, al, race, and spot are the kind of guys who want to Beat Minecraft and kill the ender dragon but davey, jack, sarah, charlie, and kath are more content with mining, building, and creating functional societies
• the gang is INSUFFERABLE when time comes for the mob vote. they’re constantly bitching at each other and are 100% always fighting over which mobs should be added
