MAROCCO 2017 - I colori della vita
Giorni frenetici dove odore, rumori, vista, tatto, gusti hanno fatto da assoluti padroni. Un paese si vive percependone la sua essenza, il suo karma, la sua energia, le sue differenze, le sue familiarità con il tuo.
La mente deve essere aperta e le sinapsi devono viaggiare veloci.
Devi assorbire come una spugna, ed andare oltre l'apparenza.
Gente, occhi, sguardi, parole, suoni, sapori, odori … dinamiche sociali, relazioni dell'uno con i molti, i molti con l'uno.
Lascio che sia il tutto, che tutto mi investa, mi travolga, mi porti via come un fiume in piena, senza contrastarlo, ma lasciando che il tutto sia ed entri dentro di me.
Non è facile sapere dove guardare. Il segreto è non guardare, ma saper percepire.
La meraviglia dell’ignoto, di questa vita che pulsa nelle nostre vene e in quelle di migliaia di persone che ho incrociato, che ho guardato negli occhi per percepirne la presenza e la loro energia.
Gente, gente che ti guarda come un marziano così come tu li guardi meravigliato.
Dall’immenso al singolo, dal singolo al multiplo, in un concatenarsi di sinapsi tra te e il tutto che ti circonda.
E camminare credendo di essere solo ed invece ti accorgi che il tutto è con te e dentro di te.
Anime fragili più della tua o anime forti che potrebbero sovrastarti con un solo sorriso o un semplice sguardo.
E chissà come mai tutto ti appare cosi semplice e cosi normale, cosi tuo e così familiare.
Siamo uomini, non dei, siamo tutti figli di un solo Dio, di una sola energia primordiale e se i nostri popoli vivono migliaia di chilometri di distanza, chissà perché, tutto sembra cosi vicino a te, senza alcuna differenza, senza alcuna lontananza, perché ciò che ci unisce è la vita, tra sofferenza e gioia, tra miracolo della vita e compassione della morte, in un ciclo perenne e assoluto, dove la fine è un’inizio e l’inizio indica la strada verso la fine.
È l'amore, l'amore per questa vita che ci è stata donata, indipendentemente se siamo cristiani, mussulmani, ebrei, ortodossi, bianchi, neri, gialli o rossi.
Siamo solo ed unicamente uomini e la cosa meravigliosa è che siamo composti di infiniti colori, i colori della vita.

Invisible City.

For Colored Girls, Deluxe Edition
…126 pages of pictures from the similarly-titled project, printed on premium paper. Introduction written by one of my favorite poets Yrsa Daley-Ward.
Only 100 copies will be printed from this edition. Each book will be numbered and signed by me, and accompanied by two signed 8x10" prints mounted on styrene board. This edition will be available for pre-ordering on my website on December 29th.
