Some ideas for dates that don’t go as planned! (You can decide if they end up being total disasters or if your characters can make the most out of the situation!)

Person A and Person B get all dressed up to go to a fancy restaurant together but when they get there, the restaurant is completely packed with a 3 hour waiting list to get a table, so they end up eating at the fast food place across the street in their fancy clothes.
Person A and Person B decide to take a dance class together but when they get there, it’s not the style of dancing they were expecting. (Example: they thought it would be ballroom dancing but it turns out to be square dancing / break dancing / tap dancing / etc. You can decide the specifics!)
Person A and Person B go to see a movie together but they both end up really not enjoying the film.
Person A surprises Person B by taking them out on a date that they’ve planned but what Person A doesn’t realize is that they’ve taken Person B to the same place that Person B and their ex used to go to together.
Person A and Person B are having a lovely picnic in the park when suddenly they’re chased away by a swarm of bees.
Person A and Person B go roller skating together but one of them falls and gets hurt and they end up spending their romantic night out in the ER.
Person A and Person B go to a sporting event together, but the team they’re both rooting for loses brutally.
Person A and Person B go to an amusement park together and decide to ride a roller coaster but the ride gets stuck while they’re on it.
Person A and Person B go out to a bar not realizing that it’s karaoke night and all the other patrons are drunk, singing terribly, and keep pressuring Person A and Person B to sing a song together.
Person A takes Person B out on a perfect date. They’re having the best time together and Person B is under the assumption that Person A is going to propose to them, but Person A has no intention of doing that today.

Person A and Person B are playing lovers in a show. During rehearsals Person A ends up catching feelings for Person B in real life but the day before opening night, Person B gets injured and their understudy/cover has to go on as Person A’s love interest instead.
Person A works as a stagehand and Person B is a performer in a musical. Every night during the show, Person A dances with Person B in the wings during the musical numbers where Person B isn’t needed onstage.
Person A and Person B share a dressing room and during intermission, they try on each other’s costumes and take selfies.
In real life, Person A and Person B are dating and Person C is Person A’s ex. However, they’re all currently in a show together where Person A is playing Person B’s friend and Person C is playing Person A’s lover.
Person A is a swing and one day when one of the performers suddenly can’t do the show, Person A has to step in. However, Person A hasn’t had to play this role yet and they haven’t had many chances to rehearse it so they’re feeling very nervous. Person B, who is a stagehand and has watched the show every single night, knows all the lines and blocking for this character and helps Person A practice backstage before the show.
Person A works front of house at the theater and Person B is a performer. Every night after the show ends, Person A rushes to stage door so they can be the first person there to greet Person B when they come out of the theater.
Person A and Person B played lovers in a show together years ago. Now they’ve both been cast in a different show where they’re playing rivals.
Person A always arrives to the theater early to leave a little anonymous note on Person B’s dressing room door wishing them good luck.
Person A’s makeup for the show is really complex and takes a while to get off at the end of the day so they’re always the last one to leave the theater. After each show, Person B sticks around in Person A’s dressing room to keep them company until they’re finally ready to go.
Person A works in wardrobe and always hides silly little surprises in the pockets of Person B’s costumes as a running joke. Then Person B has to try not to laugh when they reach into their pocket and discover the surprises while onstage.

Person A is dressing up as Santa Claus for a local event and convinces Person B to come with them dressed as Mrs. Claus / an elf / a reindeer.
Person A is participating in a “Secret Santa” and draws Person B’s name and it turns out that Person B has drawn Person A’s name.
Person A and Person B working together to try and test every Christmas cookie recipe they can find to determine which one is the best.
Person A lives far away from their family and isn’t able to make it home to see them this Christmas so Person B invites Person A to spend Christmas with them and their family.
Person A and Person B going to a lights display / tree lighting ceremony together on the coldest day of the year.
Person A and Person B both grew up and still live in a place with warm climate and no snow so they decide to plan a trip together to someplace cold and snowy for Christmas.
Person A and Person B competing against each other every year to see who can find the ugliest / funniest Christmas sweater.
Person A and Person B decide that kissing under the mistletoe is overrated so they agree to pinch each other instead. (Or some other playful gesture, you can decide.) Throughout the season, Person A is constantly pinching Person B and every time, Person B asks “hey, what was that for?” and Person A says “Look up!” pointing to a mistletoe above them.
