  • im so pleased that i read this text when i did… its been in my library for years… or rather at the commencement of my journey for sure either gifted or a charm picked up in a bin somewhere. i really needed to read this book at this time in my life, it was a lovely reminder to keep a positive outlook & meditation as often as possible & the most high is so ever abundant despite suffering experienced. bhakti tirtha swami is the definition of dope… it was interesting to read the perspective of a devout spiritualist who also had consciousness of himself as a black king. his dedication & determination to his path was truly inspiring. highly suggest that anyone with even a mild interest in spirituality read this text. for sure one of my new favorite pisces.
  • i would suggest purchasing this text. it’s a book I would want my children to read.

  • 4.5/5.0
  • going through the started, but never finished text. so happy that i picked this up & believe its testimony to everything at the right time. really didn’t know much if anything at all about the chairman. not only does this text include a brief biography, but also the works of mao & his wife. really an eye opener into the driving force behind his mission. also got a change to brush up on world history as well as marxism, communism, socialism, etc. while reading this text i was so captivated that i watched documentaries, scholarly interviews, & did a bit more research. this book is so short and easy to read that i highly suggest it. although it does its best to set the stage, i could see if someone did not posses the basics of world politics or marxism it could be a bit much, but you wouldn’t be completely lost.
  • another don’t know how it got in the library, but am happy to give it a home. i would suggest borrowing this book, if so moved, yes purchase. however, there may be & probably are better text out there on mao Tse-tung, which i would suggest reading. he is an interesting man.

Media Control: The Spectacular Achievements of Propaganda

Noam Chomsky

grabbed this book from the library shelf while walking out the door. another pocketbook story, but this time it wasn’t fiction. very much pleased with the random pulling

  • after reading this text, i think from now on i would rather read noam chomsky than listen to him speak. truly enjoyed this read because it was fitting for the times although published in the 90′s & simultaneously helped me brush up on world [gov.]  history, as well as introduce me to some information i was not familiar with.
  •  if this book comes your way i would read it. literally took me the equivalent of a single commute. if not i would suggest reading at least one of noam chomsky speech or at least part of one just for the heck of it. easier on the brain than i thought. doesn’t take up too much space on the shelf so i’ll keep it for now, don’t know if its necessary.
