Happy Tuesday, Bookworms! How’s your week going so far? Good, I hope.
Do you have an all-time favorite book genre? Or a current favorite genre? If you’ve been around a while, you’ll know that romance and fantasy are my two most favorite genres and they have been for a while now! I really love them both and can’t get enough of either. I’m also really loving mysteries and thrillers right now as well, and I’m hoping to read some more cozy mysteries soon. Above are a few of my favorites, both old and new, from my favorite genres! So, I just finished Normal People, and all I can say is that we didn’t connect. This book has won so many awards, well liked by so many people and yet here I am, sitting on my bed and wondering what am I missing? I’m so confused. This book is very dull and lifeless. I couldn’t care less about any of the characters. Every time I was waiting and hoping for something to happen, but each time nothing happens. I don’t get it. Am I the only one who feels this way?

I’ve just discovered the Anne Frank Video Diary on YouTube. It’s a series of how Anne would have documented her story if she had a camera instead of a diary. It’s amazing. Go see it if you haven’t already.

Reading Little Women has inspired me to learn more about Louisa May Alcott. I’ve been reading articles about her, watching videos about her. I would love to visit the Orchard House one day. I love researching authors, especially those in the 19th century. It’s fascinating to learn things about them, like how Louisa May Alcott had famous friends like Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Is there a book that you’re terrified to get into? For me, it’s this book by Hanya Yanagihara. I’m scared, but also very curious to find out why this book is depressing, sadistic and cruel, as many have used these words to describe this book. Have you read this one before? Did you like it?
