Happy Monday, Bookworms! How was your weekend? Did you read anything awesome? I spent most of mine packing for our vacation this week… I’m both excited and anxious about it. Hopefully I will get in some reading time, at least.

Q: What’s a sequel that you can’t wait to get your hands on??
Happy Sunday, Bookworms! Are there any upcoming sequels that you can’t wait to get your hands on? One that I am SO excited for is *Chain of Iron* by Cassandra Clare! (Does a third book in a series count as a sequel? ) The book was originally supposed to release earlier this year, but then it got pushed to later this year, which made me super bummed. It’s definitely my most anticipated read for 2022. ☺️ What about you guys? What’s a sequel that you’re excited for?

What are your plans for the weekend??
It’s finally Friday, Bookworms! Do you have anything planned for this weekend? Do you have any reading plans? My weekend plans include cleaning and laundry, and hopefully a bit of reading and catching up on Bookstagram as well! What are you guys up to this weekend?
And today is Earth Day! Do you know one thing that we all have in common? We all live on Earth! Do you do anything to help make Earth a better place? I try to do as much as I can every day to keep my carbon footprint as low as possible, including doing the 3 R’s - Reduce, Reuse and Recyle. I also use as many eco-friendly products as I can, and I love finding new products and ideas to use. There are so many great ideas! What do you guys do to help the environment? I would love to find some new ways to help today!

Q: Have you DNFed any books this year? And at what point do you decide to not finish a book?
We’ve made it to Wednesday! I hope you are all having a good week. Today is my day off and I am hoping to spend it reading *The Atlas Six* and catching up on all the things. What are you up to today?
And have you DNFed any books this year? How do you decide to not finish a book? I don’t think I’ve DNFed any books this year … I’ve set more than a few aside, but I definitely intend to get back to them. I’ve actually only DNFed a handful of books in all the years I’ve been reading. I always say that I’m going to DNF if I am not enjoying a book, but I always end up reading it anyways, because I’m always wondering if it will get better. Sometimes I end up regretting that decision, but sometimes it does get better. I think it helps that I’ve been a lot picker about what I read lately as well. Instead of reading ALL the books, I’m just choosing books that sound interesting to me, and I think that helps. What about you guys?

Happy Monday, Bookworms! How was your weekend? Did you get lots of reading done?? My weekend was pretty good! I actually finished a book AND I got to see all of my family yesterday. It was a good weekend. How was yours??
And today let’s talk about our last, current, and next reads! I haven’t read much lately, but I recently finished *Gallant* and two Lisa Kleypas books. Today I’m hoping to read a bit more of *Loveless* by Alice Offman, and next I’m determined to read *The Atlas Six* by Olivie Blake. I keep picking it up, but haven’t been able to focus on it, so I may try the audiobook instead. What about you guys? What are your last, current, and next reads??

I absolutely LOVE talking about new books with you guys, and I’m always curious to see what everyone is into at the moment. I shared a stack of books on Friday that I recently purchased, but I haven’t really purchased much more this month, which is interesting. Maybe it’s just a slow month for me? What’s the longest series you own? And/or, what’s the longest series you’ve read?
Happy Thursday! Do you guys see the weekend? It’s almost here! And I’m so ready for it. I’m taking advanatage of today being Thursday because I didn’t have time to take a photo yesterday and am using a throwback photo from last fall today. Just ignore the fall theme.
What’s the longest series that you own? I think the *Shadowhunter Chronicles* is the longest series that I own. If you include all the spin-off series, as I do, then it’s just one long series. I love these books so much! *City of Bones* is one of the books that made me love reading again way back when. What about you guys? What’s the longest series that you own?

Q: What’s a book series that you still need to read??
We’ve made it to Wednesday, Bookworms … At least I think it’s Wednesday. Are there any book series that you still need to read? Or, as in my case, finish reading? I definitely need to read (finish) the *Graceling* series by Kristin Cashore. I read the first book waaaaaay back when, and don’t remember much about it, so I’d for sure have to start the series over from the beginning. I’ve been meaning to get to it for a while now. It’s just one of the few series that I need to read. What about you guys? What series do you still need to read??

And it’s National Pet Day! Do you have any pets? We have quite a few! We have a dog, Molly, who just turned 15 yesterday. We also have two cats, Lizzie Bennet and Mr. Darcy, and four guinea pigs, Oscar & Oliver, and Hermione & Brownie. It’s always lots of fun at our house. Unfortunately I couldn’t get ANY our fur babies to cooperate long enough to take a photo this weekend, so instead I’m featuring a series that has one of my favorite felines, Grimalkin! What was your last 5 star read?? And, how do you decide if a book gets 5 stars??
Good Thursday Morning, Bookworms! Today is one of those days where I have no idea what day it is. I’m so tired, y’all.
Have you read any 5 star reads this year? If so, which books have you loved? (Because I’m totally going to buy some of them. ) Confession: I hate rating books. I hate having to choose between 1-5 stars. Basically, I either didn’t like a book, liked it, or REALLY like it. A 5 star read for me would probably be a book that WOWs me … which hasn’t happened in a while. (NOT because of the books I’m reading, but totally because I’m in a funk.) How do you guys decide how to rate a book? And, what were your last 5 star reads?
And did you guys see that the *Heartstopper* is coming to Netflix this month? I am so excited to watch! (Though, I always say this and never end up watching anything. ) The series is so good, I’m curious to see how the adaptation will do. And I’m hoping to start *Loveless* today!

Do you have any favorite kinds of rainy day reads? I love curling up with a cute romance when it’s raining outside. Add in a warm drink and it’s the best kind of reading day. Yesterday would have been a great rainy reading day … instead I had to go to work. I couldn’t even take a photo before I left because it was so dark and stormy out, so the photo above is a repeat from earlier this year. But it’s some of my favorite romances, so I’m not stressing. Happy Monday, Bookworms! We’ve officially passed the halfway mark for May, (how?!), and it’s reading update time! Are you having a good reading month so far? Mine has been pretty meh so far, BUT … I did have a really great reading weekend this past weekend, which was nice, and much needed. Hopefully I can keep that vibe going for the rest of the month and find some more time to read as well. One book I’m definitely planning to start this week is *I Kissed Shara Wheeler*, and I’m super excited to finally read it. I hear great things about the book. How many books do you own?? Or, how do you like to organize your bookshelves??
Happy Sunday, Bookworms! Do you know how many books you own? Last time I counted, (and that was sometime last year), I own well over 1,000 books. I’ve added a lot more since then as well. As you can see above, the stacks and stacks of books are getting a little out of control. But, I am planning to do an unhaul soon and I will hopefully have a few boxes worth to send to donations. And I try to organize my shelves by genre and author, but it doesn’t always work out the way I want it to. What about you guys? Do you know how many books you own? And how do you organize your shelves?

Happy Wednesday, book lovers! Do you have a least favorite genre? Mine is probably horror. I am not a fan of being scared, so I don’t read the genre very often. I do enjoy the not-too-scary types of books, mostly around Halloween time, but if it’s super scary, count me out. Above are a few that I actually enjoy though!
