Ah, yes, it’s Valentine’s Day again, and once more I rant and rave about the stupidity and insensitivity of a day designed to celebrate only one form of love.
That is, I used to.
I used to roll my eyes at Saint Valentine’s Day. Nowadays I astonish myself by actually looking forward to it. The older I get, the more romantic I become, and the more I treasure love – real, universal, self-sacrificing love, not schmaltz – in all its power and glory.
Romance is overrated, but love is not; and perhaps all love is, or can be, romantic. On Valentine’s Day, tell yourself, your friends, your pets, and the planet, how much you love them. Love is far greater than romance.
me when i like what some characters have going on: what if they tried to kill each other. what if they died in each other’s arms. what if they killed someone together. what if they got divorced. what if one of them was the only thing holding the other back from committing untold atrocities. what if the universe didn’t want them to be together but they tried anyway no matter how many times it ended in tragedy. what if they were abandoned by god and everyone but not each other. what if their love corrupted them as much as it healed them. and most importantly of all, what if they were total losers about it.
So I’m dating this guy for a while now and I asked him to be my boyfriend. I bought one of those snacks with a ring form and proposed him with it. I thought he would, AT LEAST, laugh (I mean, it’s funny, right?)
He didn’t laugh. He was all serious. He denied.
An old spell but quite effective

Blurb:
A new dating app. Rules: both parties sit at a table with blindfolds on. Each can ask three questions to the other. If they don’t like the answers, they can leave. If both parties enjoy the conversation, they take the blindfold off. What can go wrong? Nothing. Unless after taking off the blindfold, you realise the other person is the last guy you expected to see.
This is exactly how Ernesto—an autistic video game programmer with a secret dominant streak, meets Brian—an easy-going ex-football player with a burgeoning desire to submit. And giving in to the demands of this lean, geeky dom may be just what Brian needs.
A standalone MM book from the Pursuit of Love series of contemporary stories.
The book will be available in KU, ebook and paperback on July 9th
Hey all. I know I haven’t posted much fanfic in a while. I’ve been working on a few other projects. One of them being a novel which will be out next month It has lots of smut (I mean, you know me) and oodles of fluff.
In 2 days, I’ll have a novella that will be free. I’ll post about it then
little ways to romanticize your life
- make it pretty. buy colorful pens to write, download cute templates for a journal, make a vision board.
- surrounded yourself with favorite scents. whether that be a candle, perfume, essential oil, body wash, etc.
- wear something pretty every day. no matter if it’s a necklace, headband or whole outfit.
- redecorate for your mood. put plants and cute décor around work, your car, your home. use lights that remind you of the sunset or the twinkling night sky.
- appreciate the little things. the smell of coffee in the morning, the sound of the rain hitting the ground, the warmth of the sun on your face.
- take pictures of every beauty you can find no matter how small.
- turn up the music when you have to get chores done and dance your way through them
- making ice cubes out of cute lil molds like hearts or butterflies
- adding edible glitter to ✨EVERYTHING✨
- make/find a playlist of music that empowers you or nature sounds to soothe you
- buy yourself a bouquet of beautiful flowers
- cute stickers to add a little bit of life to the duller things
- scented markers to smile when writing
- a small desk fountain to hear the water falling slowly
- do everything you do with love
coming out of dormancy to notify everyone that kissing your boyfriend is the greatest feeling in the world and that the realisation that if the sun explodes, you could only hope to spend your final moments in his arms is even greater
My favorite Trope is a god/goddess falling In Love with a mortal, but it has a happy or bittersweet ending to it.
Mr. Darcy type romance where the male lead wins the female leads affection through changing because of her advice and analysis of his character flaws, but with the twist that the advice and analysis was terrible, and has made him a piece of shit. A reverse bad boy romance. You fix him by making him worse.
Platonic stuff is fine, but lord, with the way some of you people talk about romantic relationships you sound like the people who trash on romance novels! It’s the gen fic brain disease. Romance is cool and fun guys! gen novels and platonic relationships are great, but for the love of god get off your ivory tower
