Me checking my Twitter account during a shipping war…
I wish I could go back to shipping Harry and Hermione like I used to. Unfortunately the shippers have all but ruined it for me. I know not all Harmony shippers are toxic but I’ve had nothing but bad experiences. Every time I try to defend Ron I would get shut down. I’m so tired of seeing the merciless bashing of Ron and severely downplaying his importance in the books. I feel so uncomfortable whenever they try to claim he is emotionally abusive to Hermione and that he’s based off her ex husband. I never saw Harry and Hermione as having anything romantic going on in the books but I love their friendship and thought it was a good foundation to turn into something more. I just feel so out of place around the Harmony fandom even though we all love the same ship. I tried to make it work on here and discord but it’s gotten to the point where I simply can’t enjoy the ship anymore. It’s too closely associated with the toxicity I experienced and it makes me really sad. The trio’s friendship is one of the best parts about HP and I don’t like seeing Ron get so much hate even though I think Harry was ultimately a better fit for Hermione. Romione shippers aren’t much better with their extreme bashing of Hermione as a kind of revenge for all the hate Ron gets. I wish the ship wars would end because both sides have unintentionally ruined their ship through their behavior and endless bashing.

One of the most off-the-wall moments in the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film was when Donatello and Casey Jones have an argument over who Mary Ann from Gilligan’s Island would end up with, the Professor or Gilligan.
And their positions are pretty interesting, when you think about it.
Casey: …And the Professor and Mary Ann, happily ever after.
Donatello: No way, atomic mouth! Gilligan was he main man. They’d be married and have six kids by now.
Casey takes the side of the Professor, who is more traditionally good-looking, while Donatello sides with the more awkward Gilligan. You’d think Don would go with a fellow intellectual…or was he projecting on physical appearances?
