Today I am living my dream. 10yrs ago I visited as agency Creature London with my uni. I emailed to say thank you for the talk. Fast forward to today, my first day as a senior creative at Creature. Dreams do come true, this is a proper full circle moment and I am eternally grateful. Let’s do this!

Been having fun in #Shoreditch and #Dalston with Jenny. Rummaging in charity shops and walking along Regent’s Canal. Loved trying on the skirts and dresses. I like different styles it complements my character. Enjoying the scenery especially the bladerunneresque night scene.

I love plants, especially herbs. As I’m studying clinical herbalism @lincolncollegeuk part time. It really helps to actually see the plants and I love my herb garden at home. So bought some extras herbs today.. It’s a bit late in the season for herbs, but I bought some tarragon, Lemon verbena, oregano and lavender. I’ll be busy looking all these up and learning their botanical names and medicinal properties. My home and garden will look great and smell good. Looking forward to making tinctures and other using the herbs in a multitude of ways

Libreria, EI. A new take on the concept of the bookshop by Second Home seeks to re-immerse us in the analogue experience and reconnect us with reading. Banished are mobile phones and coffees, instead we have contemporary lighting and architecture solutions which open up and warm the space. the sectioning too is unconventional with titles distributed by theme or concept rather than genre. I can appreciate what they are doing here; the overall effect is the shop feels like a lavish home library, welcoming and personal. The idiosyncratic sectioning encourages browsing and increases the likelihood of you coming across new titles beyond your normal tastes. The jury is out for me as to whether I prefer it to traditional bookshops but I enjoyed having my attitude to books challenged and it will be fascinating to see whether it catches on and does indeed precipitate a new style of bookshop. Finally got to the UK T2 store. Incredibly helpful staff, and I stocked up on the lovely London Breakfast (80% Assam, 10% Lapsang and I forget what the rest is - but the staff stay it blends well with Melbourne Breakfast too), as well as filling our empty tins of the light, sweet Darjeeling and my favourite evening cuppa, low-caffeine Daintree. I look forward to trying the Milky Oolong.
We also sampled Strawberries & Cream ice tea in store - the colour and flavour of boiled sweets, but no less refreshing for that.

Exciting news “brewing”! Aussie tea masters T2 are bringing their show to Shoreditch with their first European store. They sent me this gorgeous surprise package to celebrate, which was awesome and for which I am most grateful.
The London Breakfast is a rich, smoky brew with hints of Puerh or Lapsang; a simply spicy way to wake up the tastebuds in the morning. Lovely.
Disc: I also JUST discovered yesterday that T2 was acquired by Unilever Australia last year, and in my professional life I work with some other, unrelated, Unilever brands in the UK. T2 is not a client of the agency I work for.
