i was trying to figure out how to draw Shiro and this happened. you can tell that by the time i got to the bottom three i wasn’t taking it seriously at all lol, some personal memories were inserted in the stupid ones (who am i kidding all of them are stupid)

One of my Instagram followers said this piece reminded them of Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey and honestly I can’t unsee it now 

The thing about being an artist is that when you’re in a funk, your art gets in a funk. So I decided to take a step back for a bit and work on myself. I’m now ready to come back to art with open arms! My new goal is to remember the reason why I started drawing each time I draw a new piece. I really want to get to a place where my art can tell a story.

This drawing was more of a vent drawing… I wanted to capture someone in a calming environment using both cool and warm colors. I wanted to show her just being in a quiet moment in nature, thinking to herself. I know its unfinished, but honestly sometimes I just love the way “unfinished” work looks. I’m pretty happy with the overall vibes of it

I not sure why but i had this image in my mind , may be is something i’ve seen, let’s see how it ends

Instead of sleeping, I let Yiuna sleep in this sketch that I finished at 4am…Some days are harder to get through than others - on those days, I wish I could stay in bed. It’s peaceful like this, clears your mind. It definitely helps people come back stronger. I don’t think non-artists realize just how many poses artists do for their own drawing reference (or otherwise ask our friends to do some pretty extravagant poses for us hahah). This is my icon’s art that I should have released sooner…I cropped Yiuna’s pose in this one but I did do my icon’s full pose in front of a mirror, which makes things faster than drawing from imagination. Capturing the right feeling/energy/mood can be a challenge at times, especially if you have use one hand to shoot a picture, wish I could clone myself sometimes. I highly value the emotion in a lot of my art, so the gesture is important. I dance for fun and it definitely helps with posing too, hahah.

In my head, I have always envisioned Zero as a mess. There was always so much work to be done in my life, and I imagined it’d be nice to be smart enough to get away with being more lazy - just naturally taking less time. Zero definitely gets away with it at times. When I was designing his character, I knew I couldn’t leave any main character without some big flaws (esp. if they’re good-looking, hahah). Movies are my very favorite thing in the entire world and 2016 had some pretty good ones. With the Oscars literally around the corner, I thought it would be awesome to share with you guys my top 5 absolute favorite pictures of last year. I’ll be rolling out each one day by day until Sunday’s festivities. There’s some big movies and some little ones you probably have never heard of. So if you haven’t seen something on the list, I highly recommend you take the time to celebrate last year’s magnificent treasures.

Red is a happy colour to the point of almost obscene — quite unlike the others, those more delicate and prone to get lost in transition from traditional to digital.

Here be my regular lamentation about delivering you the turquoise as it is in real life — the colour just won’t be seen by digital media no matter how many shamanic dances with Selective Colour modes one performs to salvage its original lush vibrance.

And then the red. Waltzing right into your face, wild, intense, brightest and radically shameless in how lossless it actually is. Only acquiring deeper hues when brought into digital space.
