hello lads! i’m August, ½ of this new studyblr/langblr/academia blog. i’ve been lurking around studyblr for a while to give me some sort of motivation to push through the last of what has been a godawful covid-19 sophomore year of high school, and finally thought it would be fun to join and run a blog alongside my friend Fish! my pronouns are they/them, i’m a minor, and i’m very good at making pad thai.

Hey everyone! My name is Serebii/Serenity, you can call me Seri for short if you want to!
This is my studyblr that I decided to make one on the get-go because I’ve been in the Studyblr community for a long time before deciding to create my own for the sake of sharing study tips to help out others just like how several other blogs helped me!
Here’s just a few things you should know about me while I’m on this blog!

I’m an INFJ, Slytherin Capricorn
English is my third language (even though Arabic is my second language, I legit barely know any of the basics, if at all, so take it as you will lol), so if I make any grammatical and/or spelling errors, please feel free to correct me!
Interests:
Reading - I particularly love reading essays (I know weird, but hey, I love analyzing stuff), historical fiction, fantasy, just anything in general to be honest. I grab my hands at anything lol.
Analyzing - For me, I love analyzing story lores, characters and their flaws and traits, scientific papers, I just love researching and analyzing!
Writing - Actually I’ve been meaning to create a Writeblr for a while since I love to write mainly about my fictional and nonfictional works, but I think I’ll stick to this instead first lol.
Dancing - I especially love contemporary dance, can’t get enough of the movement and rush of it all.
Sing/songwriting - I love music, a lot more than I should, but hey, I sing and make songs whenever and wherever I can!
Goals:
I want to be able to improve my concentration in my school work with the several helpful tips from other studyblrs!
I want to share out any and all study tips that worked for me that may not be as common to others, or are in other places (ahem, maybe Pinterest) that aren’t as accessible to people.
And I want to manage both my school work and bullet journals!

Hey everyone! So now that I’m starting school, imma get straight to work!
Which also means that I’ll also be doing an overhaul over the next few weeks or months cleaning up on this blog for both my organization style and for you guys to just navigate my blog easier. Meaning I’ll probably be adding onto the Tags List and creating the Masterlist for you all!

Hi everybody!! Firstly, I can’t express how excited and nervous I am to join the studyblr community. I used to scroll on Tumblr and see posts from study blogs pop up on my dashboard. Truthfully, besides thinking about how aesthetic the images were, I wondered what was the point of having a studyblr.
However, now that I’ve reached Secondary school, I understand why. School is hectic (never-ending projects/assignments and homework seemingly being handed out every single day) and that sometimes leads to messy notes that I can barely read, along with the inability to complete all my tasks.
It doesn’t help that I get easily distracted. I could be doing my work when suddenly, I see a bird outside my window and I think ‘wow, what a beautiful bird’. The next thing I know, I’m trying to take pictures of the said bird and by the time I focus back on my work, an hour has passed.
After looking at an endless number of study blogs, freaking out over their amazing posts and how pretty their notes are, and seeing how effective having a blog is, I have decided to start a studyblr. I hope to achieve many goals, particularly:
(Actually) studying for subjects by writing notes.
Have neat, precise and helpful notes.
Have a to-do list that I will (actually) stick to.
Filing everything related to a certain subject neatly in its respective files.
Obtain the marks that I set for myself.
Make new friends on Tumblr. (!!)
Still have time to spend with my loved ones and activities I enjoy.
I hope that I’ll be fully committed to updating my blog at least once a week, once every two weeks if I can’t handle it, and I want to say sorry in advance for giving anyone who looks at my posts eye cancer because I write like a chicken and my notes will definitely not be as aesthetically pleasing as others.

I have had this blog as a side blog for five years now but never really used it, so I decided to delete everything and start fresh!
First, I feel like I should introduce myself:
Hi, I’m Lucie! I am a 4th semester chemistry undergrad student. I started studying with a lot of motivation and passion for the field, but due to covid and having all online lectures (except for a lab last semester) combined with living alone I am lacking touch and interaction with fellow students.
On top of the metal load all of us experienced this year, there was a lot demanded from me academically which unfortunately led to me working long hours each day, even on weekends (for 5 months I had a total of 2 days off after an exam) and ultimately having kind of a mental breakdown a few days before an exam. Luckily, I passed that exam, but the following six weeks I did nothing related to uni to hopefully recover from the semester.

I’ve read what you’ve written and I’m not sure if you want anyone to say anything or offer advice unsolicited, but I just wanted to let you know that if you were working so hard that you had a breakdown, don’t see those as your ‘peak’. Your peak is when you can do as much as you reasonably can, while not sacrificing your happiness, health, or sleep. As someone who had a breakdown in 2nd year of uni, I really hope you’re alright as I know how horrible it is. Please reach out to support your university offers if you think you would be helped by it.

Hi! My name is Angeli and I’ve been learning Korean on and off through self-study since 2011. I surprisingly managed to pass TOPIK Level 4 in 2014 but because it’s been more than 2 years since then, my certificate has expired and I have to take TOPIK again. I have worked in a Korean military base camp for 4 months and I have joined a couple of Korean speech contests before.
Why did I create this studyblr?
I used to have a studyblr a couple of years ago but I never really used it that much since I find Tumblr very confusing to use back then (I still find it a little confusing tbh) and I never really got a chance to interact with anyone from the studyblr community.
After going on a long hiatus from studying Korean, I have recently started to study it again so to motivate myself and to meet fellow Korean language learners, I decided to create this studyblr. I also have a studygram(@meloncremekr) which is also kinda new.
Hopefully, this blog will help me keep track of my studies and help me stay focused since I’m planning to take TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) again some time next year. I’m also hoping to learn some tips about learning Korean language from fellow learners and also to offer help to those who are interested in learning it.
