Salvador Ramos was named as the 18-year-old suspect in the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, that left 15 people dead – including 14 students and a teacher.

I think a big part of the reason we find ourselves here, and I know I’m going to be put on a list for saying this, but politicians are not scared enough of their constituents anymore.
I just cannot fathom that the only thing I worried about in elementary school was whether or not I would get the toy I wanted to play with at recess while children today can’t go to school without worrying about getting shot and killed. It’s too unreal and cruel

A woman is supposed to sacrifice her health and 9 months of her life to carry to term but a Republican can’t be inconvenienced by any sort of gun control.
They 100% care about fetuses more than about actual children. In their opinion an aborted fetus that doesn’t feel anything and doesn’t even know what existence means is more important than a child dying terrified at school.
texas wants to criminalize abortion so much that miscarriages are considered manslaughter but there are no restrictions on guns. no licenses needed. nothing stopped today’s shooter. nothing will stop tomorrow’s shooter either.
The gunman was 18 years old and you have to be 21 or older to carry in Texas. This isn’t a gun laws problem it’s a social inequality problem. We have to fix the issues that come before someone wanting to commit these acts.
Okay this is a serious post. When I first heard about the Texas elementary school shooting. My heart sunk especially after I heard how many victims there were. 19 innocent children and 2 adults killed. And for what? Some psycho who just wanted to hurt people. I am sick and tired of hearing about kids being killed. Parents shouldn’t have to bury their babies. That’s a pain I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
To lose someone in such a cruel and heartless way is to lose a part of yourself. My mom had to bury my older sister about five years so I have seen what losing a child does to someone. So for today I won’t be posting any yandere content. Instead I shall post 21 poems to honor the victims of this tragic event and tomorrow I shall return back to my yandere content.
May this be the last school shooting that happens in America. RIP to those innocent souls.
Once again, American children and at least two adults have been murdered en masse by a deranged individual with access to firearms. This comes ten years after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, in which around twenty children were murdered, along with several adults.
Those of us who live abroad look at America with absolute disbelief, unable to understand how such outrages can keep happening again and again. Ten years after Sandy Hook, and we’re now having to read yet more biographies of children whose lives were stolen. And I bet it won’t be long before we read that the murderer had shown signs of violence before, but such signs were ignored until it was too late.
Clearly, American politicians and the gun lobby must bear responsibility for sacrificing children to murderers for financial gain. Their claims about defending America’s Constitution are nonsensical, since the Second Amendment has been a qualifiedright for some time.
Individuals with a criminal record are supposed to be barred from accessing weapons, background checks are supposed to be performed, as are mental health checks. Stop and search is used in areas with high assault and homicide rates, thereby depriving people of firearms that could be used to murder others.
Yet the one fundamental right these apologists will not defend is the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.Respect for human life is utterly nonexistent, which is why we keep reading about such atrocities time after time after time. Get ready for the apologists to blame the children for not having bulletproof backpacks, not carrying out gun drills, or blame the teachers for not carrying semi-automatics.
Each and every murder is a national and an international disgrace. It demonstrates that America not only has a gun problem, but a crime problem, which the police have evidently failed to overcome. The constant spate of murders in inner-city neighbours continues, ending the lives of many children. Nothing is done to deter the criminals.
Enough is enough. I hope that good people in America who are fed up with this wholesale slaughter of the next generation will demand immediate accountability for this and many other outrages.

The cops had advance notice of a gunman on the loose, from the shooter’s grandmother, at great pains, notifying the police.
He crashed his car before arriving at the school, once again alerting the police. His grandmother stood in the line of fire to stop him, teachers threw themselves in front of bullets to save their students - but the US cops, heavily armed and armoured, the prototypical ‘good guy with a gun’? They stood by and did nothing.
Cops kill defenceless kids more than mass shooters do, and when given the opportunity to stop a shooting, refuse. What heroes. The cowardice makes sense, though; cops have no obligation to protect people, just to defend property.
Honestly. Give it a few weeks and we’ll find out that, like practically every other mass shooter, the cops had known about and been in contact with him for months.
When politicians and lawmakers have passed no laws to protect citizens from gun violence and then yet another mass shooting happens and they call it “incomprehensible”, I swear…
