do u think mark zuckerberg and andrew garfield ever explored each other’s bodies
The Social Network (2010) was ahead of its time. It was made too early. People thought it was over-the-top in its depiction of Mark Zuckerberg, that it wasn’t totally accurate, that it exaggerated the way Facebook is exploitative and was born from exploitation and deception. It ended up losing most academy awards it was nominated for. The King’s Speech ended 2010 as the “best” movie, and it has fallen completely off the radar in the meantime. Meanwhile, The Social Network was truly a work of art.Like it had all the shit about Zuckerberg being a robot, the irony of him being a complete asshole that started a social media company that is supposed to “connect” us to each other, the hollowness of greed - Fincher had our memes before we had them, presented in a mindblowingly piercing and biting movie. David Fincher made a masterpiece with that film and I feel like it is only going to be viewed more and more positively as we all collectively realize how fucking true the film is.
Fandom: The Social Network
Rating: T
Pairing: Mark Zuckerberg/Eduardo Saverin
Summary: Mark had known exactly what he’d been doing, Eduardo was sure of it.
And yet he’d still looked so surprised, his face reflected in the glass door of his office, his mouth caught in a perfect circle as Eduardo stabbed him in the back.

i think what i find so fucking compelling about the social network and that story as a whole is that it starts off broken. and if ur considering looking at mark and eduardo together as like a couple you have two options: they truly never reconcile their differences bc they are Fundamentally incapable of it. they will forever be those people at their core and will always clash and have issues and never be able to communicate or love one another properly. which is honestly a pretty valid take. and then there’s the option i like, which is that they do figure it out, with age and time and maturity. and it’s dumb to boil it down to true love or destiny or whatever the fuck but that’s what compells me. the idea that the story starts broken and it’s an option to see whether these people Can figure it out. and that’s what interests me. the idea that you can continue to do better by yourself and the people you love.
