New thrawn
This was resting on my hdd, couldn’t really tell what was off or not no more but since it’s may the 4th i figured i’d try to finish off this thing.

I figured I’d add the description of the picture, as people had questions and I deleted the reblog I made where I wrote it.
Not to sound pretentious, but it was a bit symbolic. I was just playing around.
Thrawn’s story/motive down in one image.
-The ground is supposed to be snow. (Csilla, his home)
-The rank plaque isn’t there, but he wears imperial uniform. (His heart is with his home ‘snow white covered heart, snow white covered home’, not the empire that he ‘serves.’)
-There’s too much blood for him to be alive. (He is dead by the time the Vong attack)
-The Vong reflection in the blood (He died in his pursuit to prepare the galaxy for the upcoming war, a war that took 300 trillion lives, or so. Also the reflection is vague because the far outsiders were always a vague threat in Thrawn’s story.)
-The gun (even after his death, he is fighting.)
In other words, Thrawn left his home to find a way to defeat the vong, he joined the empire but his heart remains with Csilla. It killed him in the end, but even after his death he keeps fighting the Vong. Empire of the Hand.

Someone asked for a nude/ bare chested Thrawn? A while back.
Haven’t painted in a while now… And this doesn’t really fit the theme of star wars and such, (Thrawn would approve, maybe?)
I just liked playing with colours around the blue skin, so voila?

I repainted Jacen twice, and Jaina 6 times before giving up.
I never read beyond the Yuuzhan Vong stuff, as i found it to be a fitting end, based on the books I did read in the EU. Like everything lead up to that, and then you know… Empire.. Republic.. Working together, nice stuff.
Also, chiss had no pupils in Legends, and same facial bone structure as humans, which is why they were painted differently here.
Also painted Stent like that one Thrawn image..
In order: Thrawn, Jacen, Jaina, Mara Jade, Karrde, Jag, Stent and Pellaeon.

Beneath the skies of Csilla, separation is all too painful to bear – Ivant keeps the memories as tokens, dissecting them for signs, as if anything has escaped his notice before.
I don’t like the idea of separation, he’d told Thrawn so before his departure; he felt severed from all he knew. (Good day, Lieutenant Vanto – the indifference stings, even though in hindsight Ivant knows – Ivant hopes he was mistaken).
Ivant is Thrawn’s legacy, his gift to the Ascendancy, the problem is Ivant is not satisfied with just being that.
And if Ivant needs to throw his career into the metaphorical depths of Mustafar to get Thrawn back, well, the ‘greater good’ has always been more of Thrawn’s thing than his own.
Ivant is only human, after all.
