My polishing have taken another step forward. . . I stopped rushing and lightened my pressure. Taking the time to focus on proper technique understandably improved my result and efficiency. Fewer mistakes need correcting when you think through each step. . . However, the amount of time I spent resting and healing my hands was most troublesome. If I want to keep doing this for years I need my hands to keep working. . . Accuracy doesn’t come from rigidity. Consistency matters much more. I’ve been working on a negative pressure tent for turning and it’s finally up and running. I’m very serious about containing wood and leather dust.
It’s a matter of both cleanliness and respiratory health. Wear your respirator even for small jobs. I wear mine even in the tent with the dust collector running.
Machines are on temporary surfaces until I can buy another Frontier bench, but flogger production is gearing up.
